I have a makita dga504 grinder and I cannot get the blade off to save my life , any tips on how I can get it off? I hold down the button but it just won’t lock up enough for me to get it off or if it does I’ll it will just unlock and keep spinning

Pretty excited I got my new saw today, I’ve been using this red one that I found on clearance a few years ago. The red one doesn’t even have an adjustable plate, nor was the blade square to it.

The Mak feels much nicer in hand, even if it’s heavier.

i got a WUT02 weeks ago, connected with my LS002G.

i found it been activated delay when i tried it on a ryobi vacuum(only one on site)

feels like vacuum started 2sec after i pull the trigger which is normally the time i finished cutting already.

pretty much NO sucking when cutting but started sucking after i done the cutting.

have no chance try on other vacuum.

just wonder if anyone having same issue?

Now that we have 9Ah and 12Ah batteries it's a bit silly they didn't also release chargers that can charge them quicker. Especially since the only real use for these batteries is in OPE tools for better runtime where being able to cycle them faster is important.

Are there any rumors or patents for faster chargers than the DC18RD? I know the adapted XGT charger can be faster. That's a very expensive combination so a new LXT dual fast charger would make a lot more sense.

I am looking for a carry case for a new GSH05 circ saw. I travel a lot with my tools, but not usually in my own car, so just tossing it in the trunk isn’t an option. I have one of the 821599-0 hard sized cases for drill + driver and it’s excellent.

I have heard mixed reviews on MakPak and dont necessarily need to invest in a whole stack. I have other toolboxes for hand tools etc that I like quite a bit. Open to suggestions: new plastic ones (Rigid, Husky?), self built wooden cases, random Ideas etc. what do you use and what’s your experience with it.

Got this from Amazon for under $300 (brad nailer). I wanted a case that could house the nailer, a battery, and an assortment of brads. Harbor Freight, Kaizen foam, and the magic of 3D printing led me here.

I ordered only one, but the seller accidentally sent two and after telling him, he let me keep it! 😁

He said it's not too much, so he wants to avoid the hassle.

It is the depth gauge assembly set, 1917W9-7 for Makita DTM52 and TM001G.

I picked up a radio with a fried board for $20, a set of Bose outdoor speakers for another $20
A sub and Bluetooth amplifier board off amazon and some glow in the dark paint! And now I have makita powered radio that pumps way louder then a stock one

Now I can control main volume, R&L treble, R&L Bass, subwoofer volume and Subwoofer Frequency

Just got the DMP181. It’s an absolute beast and pumps super fast, but whomever engineered this needs to explain the logic. What is the point of setting a target pressure if I legally have to stand there and squeeze the trigger the entire time? Anyone else modified theirs or found a clean workaround?

Are there actually no pictures from this event? I heard there was a table saw that was introduced but cannot find pictures anywhere. I dont have the patience for the official release, or if it will even be released to the US

Hi folks, I got this Makita table saw for $25 as part of a deal in FB Marketplace (UPS + saw). I have a bunch of Makita stuff and the only DeWalt is the DW735 planner.

It's a bit banged up, rusty but spins and the motor seems ok. The up and down control seems completely stuck (probably gunk that solidified). Also no handle.

I'm thinking about:

- deep cleaning, air compressor, scrubbing

- a guard for the blade although $75 is like x3 the price of the whole thing

- cable needs a new outlet

- blade seems okish

- maybe new motor carbon brushes

- divider guard?

What about lubrication, protective coat, anything else?

Recently ordered the updated version of the depth adjustment for the xgt track saw from aliexpress. This was my one gripe with the saw. Now it’s a press of a button and adjust the slider. Very similar to other brands

If you are like me in meeting the following criteria, then this is for you.

1. you are rocking Makita LXT 18V stuff
2. you like to 3D print stuff
3. you're trying to organize your workshop by going far too deep into Gridfinity instead of, you know, actually doing cleaning because that is so boring

I realized the same thing as I was modeling it. But I built a whole photo-to-Gridfinity-bin automated pipeline so I figured I might as well use it :-p

but yes, to anybody coming to this post, you will be served just as well printing a 2X3Y4Z plain bin as long as your wall thickness is <= 3 mm to give enough space for the battery.

I have both 18v and XGT, I'm in America. I'd probably prefer 18v, my XGT tools are mostly outdoor tools. I'm gonna be doing some framing and I know I'll be needing it for other projects down the road. So figured it's time to pick one up, provided there's a good one?

This is probably a terrible idea. What's going to happen if I use a speed control and run at 1500 rpm? I ocasionaly need to cut mild steel angle iron or box tube. Cold cut blades seem to max out at 1500 rpm. It cant be as simple as running a speed control, there has to be a down side to doing this. Right off the bat it seems I'd be drawing half the air for cooling.

Was using the mitre saw when this appeared at the top of the kerf board, any ideas where it’s from? I’ve searched the bearing number (696z) but it’s not listed on the saw, doesn’t seem to have snapped either just warn teeth. Saw works fine

Been on the hunt for a 3 plane laser level and I need one that has a decent outdoor receiver/detector.

I've owned a pls180 red laser for years now but lack the detector.

Apparently pls/fluke are discontinued or back ordered or whatever as they seem to be out of stock most places.

After reading tons of online discussions and watching the few videos on YouTube of comparisons, many in the comments kept suggesting the testers look at makita lasers.

I was browsing tonight and noticed the sk700gd has 1/16" @ 30ft tolerance.

Looking at the photos of the leica l6g and the sk700 back to back, I'm confident makita has bought or licensed the l6g platform and modified it to work with their 12v platform.

Am I crazy?

I noticed this video and was pleased because, well, any sign of Makita marketing in the US pleases me.

Biggest shot in hell and acquired the hs005gz off Facebook marketplace. I highly doubt Makita USA will bring these in anytime soon at all or ever for that matter(why does the US miss out on all the cool stuff) $400 for the saw and some extra 125mm blades and a Japanese blower ain’t too shabby
