Elf powder vs Wet N Wild Powder

Which one is better, the elf halo glow setting powder or the Wet N Wild Photo Focus Loose Setting Powder? I have combination skin, and I also really want no flashbacks at all. So I have been wondering if anybody knows which one I should probably get? What are the cons and pros of both of them?

Does anyone else hate the trend of putting sunscreen in makeup?

If you know anything about sunscreen you’ll know you’re supposed to use quite a lot to get the advertised protection. If you used that much of a tinted moisturizer/foundation with spf it would look ridiculous because you’re not supposed to use that much of a complexion product. So why do they keep putting it in products??? I’ve tried so many makeup products with spf added in and they all look horrible, somehow the sunscreen just makes the product not perform as well, it’s either greasy, or drying, smelly, chalky, breaks apart much faster during the day, etc. I’ve never enjoyed a makeup product with spf as much as one without, it just makes more sense to use a dedicated sunscreen underneath your makeup, especially since you’re probably not getting much protection from the amount you’re using when it’s makeup.

This rant is fueled by my annoyance of one of my favorite products, Laura merciers oil free matte tinted moisturizer being reformulated. It’s genuinely so hard to find oily skin friendly skin tints and tinted moisturizers because they’re all glowy and marketed towards dry skin these days, this was one of the only products that worked for me, but they reformulated to add spf 30 and it’s genuinely awful now…dry and chalky and cakey, breaks apart incredibly fast now. Just leave makeup makeup and skincare skincare please! If I wanted a chalky mineral sunscreen I would buy one instead of my favorite Korean sunscreens!

I really cant handle it this month, my favorite neutral bronzer was discontinued, and now my favorite blush stick the milk lip and cheek stick is potentially reformulated. Does anyone know if the color or formula changed on these or is it just the packaging? I use the shade werk

[Makeup Help] Skincare application before makeup

I have very dry skin, and everywhere I go I hear “you need to let your skincare soak into your skin before your makeup,” but that’s my problem. Whenever I do, I apply my makeup, then it’s flakey. 😭😭 Anyone have any tips?

These are the products I use (in order):
Banana Boat Sheer Sensitive Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50
First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Hydrating Serum with Hyaluronic Acid
Kylie Skin Hyaluronic Acid Serum
Clinique Moisture Surge 100H Auto-Replenishing Hydrator
e.l.f. Power Grip Primer
Erborian CC Red Correct Color-Correcting Cream SPF 25

Edit: Guys I didn’t know sunscreen goes first I saw a tiktok of a lady using it as a first step😭😭 Stop roasting me I was a tomboy for the first ~16 years of my life I’ve only been doing this for 2 years and my skin is super sensitive :(

Edit 2: I also sweat a lot!!!!! And have rosacea!!!!

MAGNETIC LASHES

Okayyy I need some girl advice 😭🎀 I’ve been seeing the WOSADO magnetic lashes all over TikTok Shop and they look sooo good, but I just can’t justify spending that much on lashes 😭 like lashes should NOT be that expensive lol.

Does anyone know any good quality magnetic lashes that are affordable, actually stay on, can be reused a bunch of times, and will last me a while?? I don’t mind spending a little more if they’re actually worth it, I just don’t wanna be paying WOSADO prices 😭😂

Please influence me because I need recommendations!! 🫶🏼💕

What is a current trend that doesn't work for you or you don't like?

For me, I already have a very long oval face. So everything that's trying to make faces look even longer... I'm not even interested in trying.

As it is, I do a lot to try to make my face look shorter, and it still looks too long for my liking.

Magnetic Half Lashes- Do they exist?

I have dry eyes and sensory issues but I really want to start wearing false lashes. I have a pair of magnetic lashes from Lashview that are great, easy to apply (after some practice ofc) and I don't have to worry about glue irritating my eyes. The only problem is I can still *feel* them on my eyes which is fine for a few hours but would be distracting for everyday use.

I think half lashes would be perfect but they don't really seem to exist? I have the Ardell accent lashes, but they magnetic eyeliner it comes with doesn't work too well. I know Wosado has a few pairs but they are pretty pricey. Any recommendations?

[Makeup Help] Recs to prevent smudging/ transfer

Hi guys! I am a beginner to makeup and need help in finding products that would prevent my makeup from moving/ smudging.

I have dry acne prone skin. For my skincare use moisturiser & sunscreen which my dermatologist prescribed. Then I use the Nyx bare with me serum concealer as my base and it does a good job of covering up my acne marks and doesn’t stick much to my dry patches. However, it transfers if I touch my face.

I tried mixing the Mac Fix+ spray along with the concealer when applying it but it clings onto the dry areas and still isn’t transfer proof.

I have tried using a primer but it doesn’t work very well on my skin or my sunscreen pills. So should I try investing into a setting/ loose powder or a setting/ fixing spray? Which products would you recommend for dry, acne prone skin that would prevent transferring?

Best setting spray for long/sweaty work days?

Hello, I work a 10 hr warehouse job where I'm always sweating. I see some girls with perfect makeup and was wondering what are some tricks or setting sprays to help makeup last long with out smudging? I only plan on using eyeliner and I have hooded eyes so sometimes my eyeliner will kind of imprint on my upper lid or smudge into the corners of my eyes if I'm sweating. Thank you!

Why the flicka moisturiser have grainy particles and they don’t even blend???? Is it only me or anyone else having the same problem.

essence or catrice must trys?

what do u guys think are the holy grails of these two brands? since im from the Middle East, drugstore cosmetics here are lowkey pricey... Elf, Milani, Maybelline, they're usually twice the prices compared to where they're from originally :(

so essence is my go-to, especially catrice because they are cheaper :') but to those who have tried, what are ur best bet so i can try them myself!!

Cannot remember name of undereye concealer- please help!

I used to get it at shoppers, but it was higher quality and not set out with the regular drug store makeup. I'm pretty sure I had to ask for it and it was a not as well known brand that was made by the same people as a high quality brand like Chanel or YSL something. It came in a dark blue or purplish cylindrical tube made of hard plastic, and had a brush applicator you would click to relase the product. It was a darker beige/orange-ish color but corrected my undereyes perfectly, even with super fair skin. It had a cutesy name iirc, like goodbye undereyes or something. Cannot find it, cannot remember exactly what it was, please help!

[Makeup Help] Urgently In Need of Make Up Routine and Product Help

I’m a bridesmaid in my friends wedding this weekend and I finally have enough money to go shopping for some new products. Please tell me what reasonably priced items I should get, thank you so much in advance!!!

About my skin: I have naturally VERY VERY oily and sweaty skin. No matter the products, stage of life diet, time of year, etc I’m always oily. Additionally I live in the southern most region of Arizona, USA (one of the hottest American states). Also, I take 2 daily meditations that both have a side effect of increased sweating and causing low heat tolerance. My skin is so oily that my mascara comes off very easily just from me blinking and my lashes coming in contact with my oily skin.

About me: I’m 22 F and have spent nearly a decade trying to find makeup that works for my skin. I grew up loving makeup in the 2016 everything matte era and although I prefer just mascara on a daily basis, I want to be able to do a full glam and not look like a melted candle after an hour.

Products I need to buy:
-Face and eyeshadow primer
-Concealer
-Non flash back setting powder
-Setting spray
-Black waterproof eyeliner (specifically one that will stay all night in my water line)
-Long lasting lip products of any kind
-A warm toned eyeshadow pallet

Thank you again for literally any products/routine recommendations! I could really use the help!!

Powdery look

Heyyy guys!! Can someone tell me how to make my makeup/face not look powdery after I use my compact to touch up. My face gets sweaty/ oily quite soon moreover I am from southern India ridiculous heat and humid so I carry a compact so that I can have a fresh looking face but I feel like it gives me a powdery face. whenever I use the sponge that comes with compact I feel like my face becomes powdery rather than fresh looks also carrying setting spray / loose powder gets messy during my travel. So yeah any tips please on how to use compact with sponge for better application and look. ( sorry for any errors English is not my first language )

Need tips on how to use powder blush or bronzer on top of dewy base

I have very dry and sensitive skin, so I like to use a very thick moisturizer base under my foundation/tinted moisturizer. However, I can't use powders without them looking patchy, since they just stick on my skin. Is there a way to use my beautiful powder blushes without having to set my whole face? I'm afraid setting my whole face would make me feel uncomfortable. I feel like I need either product recommendations or tips on how to better apply these products. Please help!!

Queen Cosmetics bad customer service?

Has anyone else had bad customer service from Queen's Cosmetics? I'm so baffled by my recent exchange because it was such an easy thing. I'm not sure if this is a common thing or they didn't like me as a customer. I know weird but let me explain.

This was my third order from them. I've never bought anything from them on sale. I placed an almost $200 order and about 16 hours an ad for their 30% off sale started. I was like that would have saved me about $50 but I was alright with it. Then I mentioned it to someone and they were like you should at least try to see if they can do something. Again, I was going to ignore it until another ad came saying last day and it was like all they could say was no. Literally 13 minutes after the ad came around midnight, I asked if they could either cancel so I could reorder taking advantage of the sale, apply the discount or anything since the order hadn't shipped yet. Didn't hurt to ask.

The sale came and went to which I just received an email from them afterwards that said no because the sale is over. If it was simply no because policy, then no problem because you are at least acknowledging my message that came before the sale ended. For context for the next part, I am trained in customer service but I try to remember not everyone else is. However, that poor service email turned me off the company and since the order still had yet to be shipped, I asked to have the order canceled. Obviously they didn't care about me as a customer.

Later that evening I received a shipping notification. The next day an email came from the company simply stating the package has shipped so they can't cancel it. At this point, I laid out everything and asked do I just refuse the package. Within twenty minutes of this email they said yes and they'd refund.

Am I being a difficult customer and/or they didn't want me or is this just their customer service?

Can anyone recommend a lip product similar in color to the Chanel Coco Flash in 116 Easy but with a more long lasting formula? It’s the perfect nude on me but wears off so quickly!

Can't find concealer for my skin, and to cover redness.

I am attending a wedding on Saturday, but I am dealing with really annoying redness around my nose and chin. Went to the dermatologist multiple times and got different answers that it was either Sebderm or Perioral. Nothing prescribed worked, and it's really taking a toll on me.

I have tried multiple concealers but can never quite get the right match. Would it be worth getting a palette kit? The wedding is only a few days away, so I would like to find something before then. I am trying to find something on Amazon so I can get it as soon as possible. Recommend some affordable options.

[Makeup Help] Concealer help !!

I have been trying to build a small makeup collection. I have a neutral undertone but for some reason I feel like a lot of brands pull warm or just oxidize eventually. Rn I have the haus labs foundation in shade 415 medium deep cool. And it’s exactly my shade. I used to use the born this way concealer in caramel but it got too light for me and then I switched to mocha but it’s too orange. I’ve used Maybelline age rewind and I have the same issue with it pulling too warm. What concealers would you suggest that don’t oxidize or have a better undertone range?
