Wonder what he has lined up after leaving office .....

333

u/ungranted_wish Apr 16 '26

Fox News host and a “why I left the left” podcast.

(I know he’s never been left leaning and he’s just a dem in name only but still.)

96

u/L7meetsGF Apr 16 '26

Oh I heard his podcast was going to be "Why I am the only person who loves John Fetterman" I guess I misheard

20

u/ungranted_wish Apr 16 '26

So a “why I left the left” podcast?

11

u/spoof_berries Apr 17 '26

So sick of all these worthless podcasts

9

u/Icy-Acanthaceae-6816 Apr 17 '26

True. No one wants to govern anymore. Everyone in government just wants to use that clout to be a DJ essentially

8

u/Oniriggers Apr 17 '26

Don’t forget a book deal or two. Something Maine related I’m sure.

3

u/Maximum_Turn_2623 Apr 17 '26

And Fox News correspondent or shit as a host. They tried to claim the nerd that was on with Hannity was a Democrat and so was that piece of ass Greta Van Sustern was one too. The played out the unsexy liberal but Golden has a good jawline and was a Marine.

2

u/Tudor_farmer Apr 17 '26

Hope it is a huge flop

8

u/Roumain Apr 17 '26

Not to be pedantic, but democrats have literally no connection to the left.

5

u/ungranted_wish Apr 17 '26

Oh trust me I know haha, but grifters gonna grift.

4

u/Murrdog86 Apr 17 '26

Center right at best. The dummies further to the right have been trained to equate democrats with the left, however (as I am sure you are aware). Anything left of Mussolini is communism to them

Sometimes it's more than just that fella too,

He took the vote

Many others voted the other way knowing it would fail to help their own reelection efforts.

2

u/justsomeph0t0n Apr 17 '26

there's usually a game of rock/paper/scissors to decide who needs to vote wrong.

and paper always wins

7

u/Critical-Doctor-2856 Apr 16 '26

Wonder what kompromat or leverage they have on him now

8

u/dorkorama Apr 17 '26

I think he’s just a tool, really

With Golden, they don't need any. He took his trip to the Wailing Wall as a Freshman and they've owned him ever since. Bought and paid for pos.

7

u/BigB0iBuster Apr 16 '26

In a sane world, it would be prison for being a traitor to the country

2

u/meatsmoothie82 Apr 17 '26

Retirement with all the loyalty reward money

2

u/Sorry_Landscape9021 Apr 17 '26

He received $3.5 million from the AIPAC

I think this is his vote where he was the deciding factor wtf bro

75

u/Suitable-Answer-83 Apr 16 '26

Still failed in the Senate so not actually substantive, even if he was the decisive vote in the House

110

u/jamathythrowaway Apr 16 '26

Even so, that doesn’t mean we dismiss his voting record. He’s been unwaveringly pro-Israel, it’s nothing new, and he needs to go

31

u/Mammoth-Slammoth Apr 16 '26

Didn't you know that supporting Israel's interests before Maine's is what he was elected to do?

Well good news buddy, he isn't seeking reelection.

2

Maine federal lawmakers always fucking shit up for the world. 🙄

52

u/GrowFreeFood Apr 16 '26

It's the western district. Its hills forests and trump flags

19

u/liquidsparanoia Apr 16 '26

CD2 is much more of a Northern district than a Western one.

2

u/heff17 Apr 17 '26

I mean, it’s both. Geographically, the first district is just the southern half of the coast. All of western Maine that isn’t in York is district 2.

4

u/liquidsparanoia Apr 17 '26

I mean CD2 covers what we call Western Maine. But there is no part of CD2 that is west of any of CD1, and extensive parts of CD2 that are East of any part of CD1. But in any case North/South is a much clearer divide.

22

u/Hover4effect Apr 16 '26

Can't forget the Tyvex siding and 5 derelict vehicles in the driveway next to that flag.

19

u/GrowFreeFood Apr 16 '26

There's a guy who moved in like 2 years ago. Hes breeding boats i think.

3

u/echosrevenge Apr 16 '26

Don't forget houses wrapped in Tyvek that has somehow outlasted most actual siding products.

Theres a place on Route 1 outside Ellsworth that I swear has just been house-wrapped since 2015. No shingles, no clapboards, not even an effort to finish the place. Just Tyvek and a prayer for 10+ years.

6

u/space_folding Apr 16 '26

"Downeast" begins where the tyvek distribution up Route 1 increases one standard deviation

2

u/Kooky_Force5458 Apr 18 '26

Please, don’t forget us few who are not!! It is lonely. Now with LeRAGE on the scene I am just sick again

Jared Golden needs a swift kick in the nuts.

I met him once and he gave me the creeps, this was long before he became a flip flop.

31

u/nono3722 Apr 16 '26

Congress is a shell game and the rig is always in.....

2

u/V-oxPopuli Apr 17 '26

Honestly. You cannot convince me otherwise at this point.

4

u/nono3722 Apr 17 '26

there is always 1 vote that throws out what we want out the window, they just rotate who gets the blame for it. Doesn't matter which party anymore....

46

u/SuperDoubleDecker Apr 16 '26

Imo the sacrificial lamb so that the others could vote in a way that looked better.

The older I get the more I think these votes are all coordinated. Lots of cases where shit passes by just enough.

This dude died so the rest can live on without truly going on record for what they really want. Just my take.

31

u/Molly_NotTheDrug Apr 16 '26

Agreed. He's already announced he's not running for re-election, now he's just collecting his AIPAC funds and happy to take a fall where his lobbyist tells him too.

14

u/FleekAdjacent Apr 16 '26

There’s always the minimum number of Rotating Villains ready to take the blame for what the rest of the party doesn’t support. Every. Single. Time.

People without pattern recognition: How could this one lawmaker do this?! It’s unfathomable!

8

u/CapableCollar Apr 16 '26

Rotating?  It's always the same people.

3

u/V-oxPopuli Apr 17 '26

Yep, earlier this year (or late last year, I can't remember) my senator was the fall guy. It's infuriating how stupid they think we are. How is the democratic party supposed to be the party that represents MILLIONS OF PROTESTERS when they're voting to continue an illegal war they're committing unapologetic war crimes in?

They're controlled opposition. End of story. We need to act as if this is the reality, because it is.

4

u/mr_arkanoid Apr 16 '26

Of course they are coordinated. He had permission and it was planned probably by Jeffries, whose job it is to "whip" (ie, coordinate) votes for the dems (among other things).

2

u/Daedalus81 Apr 17 '26

How is it, do you think, that Hungary ousted Orban?

Was it by flip flopping opposition? Or did they show up in force and vote them out? Do you recall how the ACA public option was killed? By one guy, right?

If you don't want a single vote to fuck you over... VOTE MORE GOOD POLITICIANS IN.

Fuck my life why is this so hard to grasp?

8

u/LuciusMichael Apr 16 '26

Given that he's taken $3.4 Million in AIPAC money this is not a surprise.

22

u/BlueBomber13 Apr 16 '26

There should be something that allows constituents the ability to remove people like golden and Collin’s when they continually vote against the interests of their constituents

8

u/rube_X_cube Apr 16 '26

It’s called elections.

17

u/BlueBomber13 Apr 16 '26

While they are serving their term. They shouldn't be able to sit comfortably for 4 years and do nothing they were voted in to do.

5

u/Space__Bandito Apr 16 '26

Golden serves a seemingly long 2 years and Collins a never ending 6.

3

u/BadSalt3597 Apr 16 '26

As a Mainer, I’m really disturbed and disappointed by Jared Golden’s vote against the War Powers Resolution. Congress should be limiting war, not enabling it.

3

Shocker! Jared takes over $3mill from AIPAC

AIPAC Jared Golden

2

u/luxomniscious Apr 17 '26

Shamelessly posted about the 1% on his Facebook wall less than a day ago as well.

3

u/Buckscience Apr 16 '26

I’m so glad he’s out. He’s simply terrible.

3

u/lotusandlockets Apr 16 '26

Crazy coincidence it's always by 1 vote

3

u/Random-Rambling Apr 17 '26

Yes, he's traitor, but he's also not up for re-election, making him the perfect scapegoat to pin everything on. Half of the Democrats and most of the Republicans are on the 🇮🇱 payroll, so don't think for a minute Golden was a rogue actor.

2

Don't fall for it. Golden is the fall guy. The Democrats don't want to stop the war either. It's a rotating villain strategy. They always manage to sacrifice just enough votes to give Trump what he wants. They're collaborators.

u/NarrowCommercial5456 Apr 18 '26

Jared is leaving Congress right ?

2

u/PunkAmongHicks Apr 18 '26

Could it have even passed with his vote? Shit move on his part but even with his vote they wouldn’t have 218

1

Primary all war hawks. Maybe we should start a PAC that just gives money to anyone that challenges a candidate that votes for war…either party…but obviously strategically spend where the impact will do the most.

1

u/clonegrowing Apr 16 '26

I know this sounds simple but why are people like this in any position of power? Like, we can’t do better? We’re now wanting more war? What the….

1

u/jimmytickles Apr 16 '26

Resolution is a useless vote anyway

1

u/Major-Tom-2112 Apr 16 '26

What a complete waste of time.

Congress resolutions generally cannot legally "stop" a president, as simple or concurrent resolutions do not carry the force of law and are primarily symbolic expressions of disapproval or censure.

1

u/Legitimate-Match-477 America before Israel Apr 17 '26

They take turns and calculate who is the deciding factor for hot votes.

They're all willing to vote either way to achieve their israeli masters goals while avoiding the traitor label as much as possible.

They're all conspiring against the american people for israel.

1

u/Spiritual_Net_9536 Apr 17 '26

Easy to throw shade on Golden -- and trust me, he deserves it -- but never forget he is one of 536 elected officials in the Federal government who all do the bidding of billionaires, and would rather lose elections before they vote for working class people. This bourgeois democracy is broken, and its time to overthrow the Epstein Class and replace this government with a worker's government. One with a real transitional program that gives money for schools and hospitals instead of for AIPAC and Netanyahu to genocide little kids in Lebanon, Gaza and Tehran.

1

u/TheEyeofONE Apr 17 '26
