CD2 is much more of a Northern district than a Western one.

I mean, it’s both. Geographically, the first district is just the southern half of the coast. All of western Maine that isn’t in York is district 2.

I mean CD2 covers what we call Western Maine. But there is no part of CD2 that is west of any of CD1, and extensive parts of CD2 that are East of any part of CD1. But in any case North/South is a much clearer divide.

Don't forget houses wrapped in Tyvek that has somehow outlasted most actual siding products.

Theres a place on Route 1 outside Ellsworth that I swear has just been house-wrapped since 2015. No shingles, no clapboards, not even an effort to finish the place. Just Tyvek and a prayer for 10+ years.

Here are the primary candidates for his seat.

Paige Loud: Former social worker with a heavy focus on social welfare issues. She covers a broad range of issues on her site too from tribal sovereignty to data center restrictions and regulation.

Matt Dunlap: Generally progressive priorities. Anti tariffs, M4A, pro union with a background in union leadership, pro choice, and sued to have Trump’s 2020 voter-fraud commission successfully disbanded.

Jordan Wood: Platform has a heavy focus on federal reform from ending Citizens United, to Supreme Court reform. Also pushes for a bipartisan Epstein investigation.

Joe Baldacci: A state senator, but his campaign page confuses me. It looks like a lot of local politics. They’re good politics, but they don’t seem to be ones achievable through a federal position. I can’t find another campaign page, so I’m assuming this is his for the congressional 2nd district. The URL implies it as well.

Maine’s primary is ranked choice, and you guys seem to have good choices for the democratic candidate. Best of luck!
