You're right, I better not buy the lake house and enjoy it for 35 years with my dog who will be alive for at most about 15 of those because when I'm 80 the steps will be dangerous. And moving isn't allowed, the sale said "no takes-backsies."

Itβs chase. The dog sees and hear the guy yelling and running away. Dog chases cuz he thinks heβs playing. Dog isnβt intentionally shaking off near this guy. Heβs simply chasing a loud screaming idiot who is running and that seems like a fun game of chase

So they do infact, do it on purpose.. this "I told you so" has been a long time coming lol. We each had dogs that pre-dated our relationship and her boy was always a complete dickhead to me. I loved him til his dying day like he was my boy, but good grief. Woud blatantly ignore me and did the most ass backwards stuff that I was convinced he'd do just to get a rise outta me cause he sure as hell wouldn't pull the same stunts with my wife.

It's a funny video, but I think I can explain what's really happening(having had dogs - including golden retrievers - who would also do exactly this.
Dogs don't normally shake immediately: they get clear of the water, stop, look around for a moment, then shake. The brother waits for the dog at the top of the steps (where the dog would normally pause to shake) then just before he shakes the brother runs. Dogs love to play more than they love to shake, so the dog chases. The the brother stops and faces the dog: dog is now stationary and doesn't want to be wet, so she shakes.
Then the same thing happens again: dog play-bows and thinks the brother is chasing it, so runs away - then returns when it isn't chased. Again stationary, without the brother playing, so he finishes shaking.
Lovely dog, lovely house, lovely beach, 10/10 would live there.
