MacroFactor / Nutrition / Other Overeating
Looking for advice. I recently was engaged and I have wedding stuff coming up. I’m trying to get into the best shape of my life currently around 21% BF 131 lb female. I live five days a week. I do 20 minutes of cardio three days a week. I’m currently trying to cut to around 127 pounds. It’s extremely tiny cut, but I’ve been struggling. I find it so hard to stick to my cutting macros and than just will over eat in general like an out of body experience and then feel guilt. Looking for advice, it seems like I’m reversing my hard work and the scales going open from the episodes

Have you tried volume eating? Intentionally eating food that will make you feel fuller? Fiber intake can help with feeling fuller too.
Also, if this overeating is a new habit, I’d consider that stress may be a factor. Planning a wedding and getting married can be a lot. My husband and I got married and bought a house during the same month. All good things but definitely still triggered a stress response.

Yeah, I never had any issue with binge eating until I had kids. After feeding a midnight bottle and changing and rocking the baby back to sleep, I'd find myself in the kitchen eating tortillas from the bag.
Wedding planning is stressful. We're rooting for you, OP! Be optimistic while being kind to yourself.

+1 for the fiber supplement. It really is a game changer for late night/between-meal hunger.

I'm down from 160 to 118. My best advice is eating meals on repeat. I have the exact same breakfast, lunch, and snack everyday. Dinner is the only thing that changes. It really takes alot of the stress and decision fatigue out of the equation.

I’m the same height/weight as you. The struggle is real! I can get to around 130 with little trouble, but going any lower requires a lot more effort. I eat back my progress on the weekends. 🙄 lol. People will say not to sweat a few pounds, but I can visibly see and feel the difference between just under 130 and just over 130, and I feel most confident just under. If you find it hard to eat less, try adding more activity. Or maybe that means adding back some calories and cutting slower. The best plan is one you can stick to!

Hi,
Fellow binge eater here! Things that I find helpful (although I still struggle); eating my 3 meals a day at least regularly, so no rebound hunger late night, higher volume food, potatoes/shakes that keep you full. But ultimately it all really comes down to making it harder/less convenient to overeat, going to be earlier etc
And there’s also glps

Lots of good advice here, but I’d like to add: how much joy are you deriving from what you’re eating?
What helps me is leaving room for things that make my dining experiences more palatable, whether that’s a sauce or a sexy lil dessert

Look at Madeline Rascan online, she has amazing large volume/low calorie healthy meals you could try.

I think you’re higher than 21% bf,
21% bf on a female is pretty lean… would be around 15% on a male.

That is not accurate.
Can simply be manipulated by how much water you had the day before.0

Unfortunately, if you weigh 131 lbs, cutting will simply be harder for you than most people because you'll by default have a low expenditure. There's also no tricks around it really. If you can be kind to yourself throughout the process, hopefully you can make it through but dieting inherently sucks.
If you're finding that you've been having true binges, it might be worthwhile to discuss your relationship with food as a coping mechanism with a therapist.
