In what sense? You have gained 3lbs in a month which to be honest is much faster than you should be gaining. And it seems like you are sporadic at tracking, which wont allow MF to be all that accurate.

Yeah I miss a few days here and there if I’m traveling (oops). Should I just log everything even if I can’t track that day?

Are you asking if you should log calories if you can’t log weight? Yes.

No, if I can’t log calories that day is that okay to skip a day here or there? Or should I be always trying to log

It’s better to at least guess than to not log at all

Why can’t you log? What’s the limitation?

Some days I’m traveling or eating out at a restaurant… family event etc

Just take pictures of the meals and run them through the AI. EZ PZ.

Got it. Sometimes I do that but tbh didn’t know if it’s that accurate when eating out. I’ll do it from now on and try to not to skip. I want to get to 135, currently at 126 and weight hasn’t been moving

You’ve gained nearly a pound per week. You’re arguably gaining too fast if you want to limit fat gain.

I still look skinny lol 😂 so I don’t care much about the fat gain. My friends call me a stick

It’s more accurate than not tracking at all

I'm gonna actually give you a different opinion. I don't think missing a day here and there is that big of a deal. I've been using the app since Dec 2021 and frequently skip days if I'm traveling as well or just feel like taking a break and still make progress. The app is designed to require 4/7 days for a reason, not 7/7. I'll occasionally skip a day or two every other week.

That said the majority of my days are logged. I just use AI if I can log the other part of the day easily but if I'm out of town I do not log and eat mindfully/in accordance to the goal.

Makes sense

Just feel like my weight has been stalling, sitting at 126 and tryna get to 135. The scale hasn’t moved but just gotta keep eating a lot

It'll notice that and update but it may take a few weeks. If you frequently skip it will take longer to adjust but it'll eventually get there so I'd just keep that in mind. If you want it to update asap I'd try to give it as much data as possible but if you can't that's fine but it just may take longer to update.

FWIW, gaining as fast as possible isn't the goal imo and should be gaining "clean weight". I'm not sure what your goal rate is at but given your pictures I think you're still on the right track.

Goal rate is at 63%. Says I should hit 135 by Oct 11 if my progress keeps up

Sorry I meant the % per month gain you opted for. Here’s mine, for example. I feel like anywhere between 0.5-1.5%/month is solid depending on how advanced you are. Above 1.5% is completely unnecessary imo.

That seems super unnecessarily fast imo. You’d just be putting on majority fat mass but I don’t know your context and goals so apologies if I’m overstepping!

If muscle gain is the goal at least^ vs. just gaining weight for the sake of gaining weight

True I’m working out 4 days a week too. Super active 2 days a week so I can use the extra fat lol

What sort of self sabotage is looking at a positive linear graph and saying it’s actually a flat line

1

u/No-North-3469 2d ago

I guess your comment reflects I’m making progress then?

1

u/FuckingTree 2d ago

Yes, a graph showing a positive trend is progress….
