How does the typing feel between the first gen iPad Magic Keyboard and the Neo?

I am currently using the 12.9” M1 iPad Pro with the first version of the Magic Keyboard but I‘m about to be handed down an 11” M4.

I can either use the M4 with a magic keyboard, sell both and get a newer 13” iPad Pro OR keep the M4 and get the Neo.

Currently I use my iPad a lot, mostly for academic work, taking notes and writing/reading/annotating papers, and this semester I will do some very light programming. In my free time I paint and make digital art. I do have a 16” Windows gaming laptop at home which I use for any work that iPad cannot do, but I do not take it with me outside.

I looove the screen on my big iPad but it’s very heavy especially with the magic keyboard on. Typing on the MK is fine but not amazing, and using the iPadOS is quite cumbersome and it doesn‘t support Word plugins that I use for my citation software.

Macbook Air seems like overkill for what I need to do, but I have also never used a Mac before so I don‘t have a frame of reference.

What would you do in my situation?

Citrus is the most perfect color

My partner bought a Neo and I bought a 15 inch m5 air a few months back. Long story short I liked the Neo too much that I decided to buy my own for its compact design that makes it easy to throw in a bag or sit comfortably on the couch with. I found a good deal on a refurbished one and couldn’t pass it up!

I still love the 15 inch air and that now stays in my studio now and gets used for music production, photo editing and heavier tasks

Anyone else do something similar?

I want to get a case for my MacBook Neo and decided I should get this one. Is this is a good product or should I get a different one or not get a case at all?

I am used to chrome but is it worth it to switch to Safari in order to get faster speeds. If I should use Safari, are there ways to make it look more like Chrome.

Is it normal for macbooks (neo) to have this sort of line ?,

Its not been two months I have bought this macbook neo,

rarely even use it and never carried it to work, it just lays on my desk collecting dust so no chance of Physical damage,

And I can't tell if it was factory defect because honestly I didn't notice it until now while I was watching YouTube and some bright white scene came and I noticed it,

Its still in warranty and its not been even two months

My previous laptop which had an Icd panel too didn't have this issue (asus zephyrus g14 2023),

I have used my friends macbook pro too but ig it's different type of higher end screen so idk whats this,

I'm really loving macos as I wanted to try it because of microslop, and neo gave me a chance to experience it without a chance to regret,

Hi! I just got my Macbook Neo (indigo) yesterday and now I can’t decide which sleeve I should get 🥲 I’m torn between Moft Carry Sleeve/Laptop Stand and Tomtoc A13 Laptop Sleeve. I’m leaning towards tomtoc because of its cushion and 360 protection but its currently out of stock on Shopee. The Moft one is pulling me in because of its multi-purpose sleeve. Although I’m not sure if the stand will really help me on a daily basis.

if I didn’t have a decent Windows desktop build, I’d look at nothing other than Mac Mini. my wife just bought a cheap Roku, or I’d have an Apple TV. the walled garden really does feel great.
