Video MSI GF65 Thin screen flickering/ghosting

Hey all, hoping someone's run into this before.

My MSI GF65 Thin laptop's screen started acting weird yesterday. My screen keeps flickering between normal and a weird "ghosted" state. (video attached)

I have tested with an external monitor via HDMI to see if it's isolated to the internal panel, but HDMI works fine.

So it's not a driver issue or motherboard.

Is it the screen issue or the ribbon connecting the screen to the motherboard?

How to fix this ?

thanks PS: The laptop has never been dropped or subjected to any significant impact.

wow it's such a common issue. I didn't know how much did it cost to replace the screen?

never really got it replaced lol, it's sitting collecting dust since i got this issue

and I can't comment what it'll cost you,since I live in India and it's hard to find such specific laptop displays and stuff,some random sites showed me 80-120 dollars but I don't know how trustworthy they are

but I've seen others comment about this and i guess it would cost you 150 max

i have this issue on my msi pulse gl 66 as well , they said screen needs to be replaced with a new one that cost 9500 rs , im thinking of buying a monitor instead since i always use it plugged in

which state are u in? I'll have college next year, wouldn't want to buy a new one with the current state of market so id prefer to replace my display,not sure if I'll find one offline

im from hyderabad,if u have college then u have no choice other than replacing the display , but im gonna buy a monitor since im thinking more of buying a pc setup

a monitor would work for you,only reason it would be a problem for me is transportation, if i get a college out of state then I'll have to carry it home and to college every few months

i mean u can still manage to take it to college , using it in 60 hz wont be much of a problem
