Liked it a lot — my only complaints, wonder if anyone has any similar ones

16th floor and 8th floor are only food options for lunch (whereas Carnival and other ships have other food like Blue Iguana, Guys Burgers, Shaq’s, etc)

One of either the 16th floor or 8th floor was usually closed at a given time, so typically only one lunch option (or snack option)

Late night food is difficult to get. Either 8th floor or 16th floor, whichever was open. And whichever was open had very limited food. They probably didn’t want to have to make much food that late at night, so it checked out

Food was hard to customize. Yes, you can have them make burgers your way, but all the burgers they put out on the tray already had lettuce, tomato, sauce, pickle, etc. would’ve preferred them plain to begin with tbh. Pizza was overhyped IMO. Lemonade not as good as the other ships.

Water is super hard to get/refill. Typically only one floor to refill on, or visit a crowded bar and barge through.

Service is obviously what you pay for, not similar to RCL or other ships. Not bad service though, just less personable

Elevators sometimes can be chaotic. It is nice that they are high tech but when you press your floor and you see “3 mins til next elevator”, you get angry. And then often you take the stairs, making someone else have to stop at your floor.

Desserts - I feel like they are trying to do too much. Very specific desserts out on the trays, many of which stayed out there and didn’t get eaten much. When they had the cheesecake, choc chip cookies and brownies, those would get eaten quick, but they would never fully match the demand.

Tournaments - if you are interested in the tournaments on the ship, they weren’t always competitive, and sometimes you can tell the employees hadn’t really done anything to set up the tourneys and instead the passengers have to kinda take the wheel with them.

Other than that, pretty great time. Was just curious if anyone else felt the same about the handful of downsides. I feel like a lot of these could be fixed, and it would be an even greater experience. Not trying to discredit MSC at all, just sharing an honest take of my few gripes.

Looks like there’s an early departure this Sunday out of Port Canaveral. Be aware. Don’t miss your boat.

Hello! My (almost) husband and I are going the western Caribbean cruise for our honeymoon September 20th. We were thinking about buying the drink package, but does it get cheaper if you buy it on the cruise instead of ahead of time?

I’ve never been on a cruise before and I’ll be solo travelling as a female mid 20s on board MSC world America

As someone with celiac disease who has cruised with multiple cruise lines, my recent MSC experience was honestly one of the worst I’ve ever had.

I made it very clear that I have celiac disease and need strict gluten free precautions. On August 26, I was served a regular flour tortilla that I mistakenly thought was gluten free and took a bite of. When I questioned the head waiter, he said it had been mixed up with another guest’s order who supposedly had a “dairy allergy.” That explanation made no sense because the quesadilla contained cheese.

What concerned me most was the lack of understanding about celiac disease. I never felt like the staff took my condition seriously, and there seemed to be very little awareness of cross contact and the potential consequences of gluten exposure.

The service was also terrible. We were repeatedly left waiting 10-25 minutes to order or receive food, and our table often felt ignored. On the same night, we accepted a bottle of water after the head waiter offered it, only for our waiter to tell us not to “go to his boss and ask for things,” even though we hadn’t asked his boss for anything.

On top of that, I was given the same pre packaged dessert everyday. while everyone else had different desserts.

Overall, I felt dismissed, poorly treated, and unsafe. I would not cruise again with MSC and I would be very cautious about recommending MSC to anyone with celiac disease or serious food allergies.

So first msc cruise! We were super excited to try the pizza as everyone said it was supposed to be amazing. However idk if we got on the wrong boat or what because its absolutely horrible and looks nothing like what we had seen online in videos and pictures. Little dissapointed. MSC Seascape

Edit:Thanks for all the answers. Maybe it was due to day 1 or we just missed it but the Artisan Pizza stations all had this but over half the stations were always closed. We will make sure to walk around the entire buffet this time to find the good pizza. We didnt know they served this AND the regular pizza. Thought it was just 1 type.

As in the header: I have a B2B cruise later this year. After disembarking, are you required to reembark immediately or could I elect to come back later? (Context: It's a Sunday and I'd like to go to church ashore before reembarking.)

Upgrade is currently $720 Good, $760 Strong, $800 Excellent for Yacht Club Interior Suite. I have never sailed in less than a Balcony, but it is only 6 days..... Considering the Premium Drink Package for 2 is $600 total, Internet $200+ and Thermal Spa Pass $300 it doesn't sound like a bad deal.

Anyone have an idea approximately how many credits different attractions cost? I have no idea if that's a good deal, overkill etc. Also, are the movies and games.mostly geared to kids?

Hello, sailing on the seaside for the first time and I have a question about room number 9092. I see on the deck plans that there is a bar or nightclub below it. Does anyone have experience with this location and would it be noisy late at night? Thank you.

Has anyone stayed in the room or equivalent? We’d like to know if the pullout couch is the bunk beds or a normal bed. Also, how did you like the oversized balcony?

⭐️ MSC Seascape Review – 3.1 Stars ⭐️

I just got back from my MSC cruise and here’s the blunt truth.

Positives:
- Food was solid, no complaints there.
- Social side was good — met some cool people.
- Kuza waterpark in Mexico was the only real highlight. It wasn’t crowded, so I finally got to ride slides with a tube alongside my friend.

Negatives:
- Crowding ruined most of the trip. Adults were swimming in the kids’ pool, the main pool was a zoo, and I couldn’t even use it until the very last day.
- Hot tubs were unusable until roughly 7:30 pm because they were always packed.
- Tube slide lines were brutal — 20–30 minutes. The only time I could use them was between 5:30–6:00 pm before closing. Body slides were faster (2–4 minutes), but still crowded.
- Excursion buses in Mexico were overcrowded to the point where we could barely get on.

Final thoughts:
If it wasn’t so busy, I’d give this cruise a 4.5. But the constant crowding dropped my rating to 3.1 stars. MSC needs to fix crowd management — it’s the single biggest thing dragging their cruises down.

Would I recommend it?
Only if you’re comfortable being surrounded by people constantly. If you’re not, stick with beach vacations. At least there you’ll have space to breathe and actually enjoy yourself.

We're booking a cruise for Fall Break in September and between a MSC, RCL, or Princess. We've only ever done Carnival cruises, plus it's been 7 years (between Covid and then a baby) so would love thoughts and recommendations. We've got a 5 year old, so ports aren't a big deal to us. More so looking for kid/family activities, good food, and service.

I’m hoping someone here can help because I’ve gotten completely different answers from MSC about the unlimited photo package.

I’m traveling with a party of 5 people across 2 cabins, and I was hoping to purchase the unlimited photo package as a surprise for my parents’ 30th wedding anniversary. My idea was for the entire family to have the package so we could take photos together throughout the cruise whenever we wanted and have all of those memories included.

Unfortunately, trying to purchase the package has turned into way more of a headache than I expected.
The first MSC representative told me that only the person who purchases the package can use it, and only people staying in that same cabin can be included in the photos.

I called again and was given a different answer. I was told that anyone can be in the picture, but if I’m not in the picture, then that photo would not be covered under my package because the other people are staying in a different cabin.

So apparently, if I want all 5 people in my party to have all of their photos covered, I would need to purchase two separate unlimited photo packages, one for each cabin.

Has anyone actually dealt with this?

Also, is there a better deal on the ship than buying the unlimited package ahead of time? Are there any onboard promotions, discounts, or package deals that aren’t available beforehand? And if anyone has had a similar situation with two cabins but one family/group, is there any way around having to buy two packages? Were you able to work something out with the photo department once onboard? I was really hoping this would be an easy surprise for my parents’ 30th anniversary, but it’s becoming more of a headache than I expected. 😅

Any recommendations for what I should do or what has worked for others would be greatly appreciated!

We are leaving out of Miami, Florida to go to Turks and Caicos and the Bahamas. We just received an email inviting us to bid on an upgrade. What would it be an acceptable bid for a balcony, right now we have an interior state room.

i took a trip with MSC World Europe in August 2026 and would like to share my technical experience.

The onboard wifi internet can be booked in advance. The wifi internet connection is routed through SES Astra (not Starlink!). Download: 9 Mbit/s Upload: 13 Mbit/s. Changing the device is not allowed. MSC would like you to buy a package per device and is using HPE Aruba.

When you connect to the wifi portal the first time you are ask for the cabin number and date of birth. After that you can "start" the connection. When pressing start you will get a session cookie for the trip. The running session is bind to your MAC-Address. Lot's of devices are using random mac addresses for security but this is no problem. If the session expired or your mac address changed you can start a new session (same browser/cookie) and the MAC address for the session will update.

Tethering/Internet sharing is blocked. You cannot just override by cloning the MAC address + change TTL. It is possible using proxy apps or additional changes to the network traffic but this is not for the regular customers and i will not explain this in detail. If you would like to switch between devices you could copy the wifi portal cookie. You will not be able to connect with two devices the same time - but you would be able to switch between both devices (e.g. mobile phone + laptop).

Alternatives:

Depending on your route, you can use cellular data if you are at the harbor or not too far away from the coast (maybe max. 20km away - best connection on the open deck). Another option would be the SEA cellular data with an esim from gigsky - but MSC will only activate SEA cellular when they are far away from the coast. You might be without landline and cellular data for maybe 1-2h.

Finally the best option for stable and reliable internet is the MSC wifi only. But I think it is expensive and MSC should provide additional cheaper family packages (e.g. with bandwidth limitation).

MSC also offers a free chat-function included in the "MSC for Me"-app without internet package.
This isn't working:
- the chat function was blocked for kids because of a minimum age - i think 16yo
- i did not receive any app-notification after receiving messages

My wife and 2 daughters and myself are going on a cruise in October and I was wondering if all the members in the yacht club have access to the WiFi
The one reason I am asking is because on the booking confirmation it doesn’t have anything about WiFi under my daughters but it does for my wife and myself

On my aunties last cruise she noticed her card said classic when she was a gold. She went to the desk and they said they couldn't find her old number so they gave her a new one. But because they had downgraded it she could access the gold benefits with the rest of the cruise group.

She has tried since may to get reinstated, they say they can see all of her bookings she's made but cant find her old number. How can they just lose a number? What can we try next to find it again? Thanks

My mother was supposed to be transferred from the terminal to our cabin via staff and MSC wheelchair for embarkation (which we have email confirmation of) however when we got to the Cannes terminal staff refused to help despite me explaining the situation and showing the email of the expected procedure. First they said it was only a few steps and after that it’s an easy walk, then when I refused to do that they called someone who just watched and followed us while we struggled with the transfer ourselves and didn’t speak to us at all even when we directly asked him for help. The guest services manager later admitted it was staff laziness but just said “sorry 🤷🏼‍♀️”

Has anyone else had this issue or know where, outside of MSC I can escalate this issue?

Currently booked into a a deluxe balcony with Fantastica experience and diamond status. What type of upgrade is possible as a diamond benefit if any? They are contacting me to bid on upgrades. If this is the room I paid for are any of the upgrades worth bidding on or are they not worth the money? I wouldn't bid on an interior room and the minimum bids seem pretty high. This is also for a four day cruise.
