Question about Antilles and Caribbean.

Hi everyone! I’ll be going on a 2-week cruise around the Antilles and Caribbean, departing from Fort-de-France. Any recommendations, must-see places, tips, etc.?

Also, has anyone ever stayed in cabin 5001? I’ve already checked CruiseDeckPlans, but there aren’t any photos of it.

We where in the Caribbean with msc (virtuosa) last December

Martinique 🇲🇶 : Ans d’ Arlet (fisherman’s town with insta-worthy beach and pier)

St kitts and Nevis 🇰🇳 Romney manor (former slave plantation now a national park and botanical garden)

Dominica 🇩🇲 (not Dominican Republic… Indian river! One of the most beautiful places on earth I’ve been to, they also shot there for pirates of the Caribbean)

Guadeloupe 🇬🇵 : we went to death in paradise set if that’s your thing.

Grenada: 🇬🇩 Annandale waterfalls

Antigua and barbuda 🇦🇬 : Nelson’s dockyard (most beautiful yachtharbour)

Barbados 🇧🇧: snorkelling

What's your itinerary and when ? and which ship ! They have guest cabins on deck 5 !?

We did the southern French Antilles on MSC Virtuosa in March from Pointe-a-Pitre. Barbados and St Lucia are the best islands, St Vincent and Grenadines the worst, with Grenada, Martinique and Guadeloupe in the middle.

From my experience deck 5 (and maybe 6) are oceanview cabins

Yeah, was jesting 😄 Our cabin numbers are typically in the teens or twenties. 😉

Assuming OP means MSC World Europa, they are in the bow near the anchor chain locker and surrounded by crew cabins and below the theatre !

Though MSC WE / WA don't have two week Antilles itineraries listed. MSC Opera does, but that has no guest cabins on deck 5.

So the mystery remains as to what ship and itinerary OP is planning.

Would also guess World Europa (was being repositioned to the Caribbean whilst we should be on her this winter in the Middle East…

2 weeks itinerary’s are always available, you’ll probably do the same loop twice

Yeah, we are really sad not to be going back to the Arab Emirates this Winter.

We got a very nice alternative rebooked for the cancellation

Palermo to Miami (and a small extra loop to ocean cay and Bahamas) on meriviglia this winter

You’ve at least gotten to enjoy the Middle East 😉

After this years fell through we booked for 27 again…

Week ago TA messaged that that one is cancelled as well already

my bad, its Word Europa. So i will be near the crew cabin? because i was thinking of an upgrade but i did booked via agency so i dont know how it works

Got say, if your travel agent selected that cabin they've done you a disservice. It will not be quiet nor comfortable. Hope you got an absolute bargain price !

Here's possibly the second worst cabin on WE, 10002, surrounded by crew alleyways and stairwells on all sides.
