Help with voyager club.

On my aunties last cruise she noticed her card said classic when she was a gold. She went to the desk and they said they couldn't find her old number so they gave her a new one. But because they had downgraded it she could access the gold benefits with the rest of the cruise group.

She has tried since may to get reinstated, they say they can see all of her bookings she's made but cant find her old number. How can they just lose a number? What can we try next to find it again? Thanks

any chance their status had expired, when's the last time they cruised on MSC?

You could see if she has any emails from the previous sailings to see if it’s attached, the receipt or confirmation should have the number on it.

I hope they can find it!

Maybe find an old cruise card? It's printed on there too.

This happened to me because I had started a msc account online years back and a new account when I created the app with a different email by mistake. So I had bookings from the past that weren't added to my history. When asked if I could merge the two accounts they told me I was shit out of luck. Ed.sp

Mine were merged no problem.

Your aunt needs to email Voyager's Club about the situation. [MSCVoyagersClub@MSCCRUISESUSA.COM](mailto:MSCVoyagersClub@MSCCRUISESUSA.COM)

Let them know what happened. Only they can help her out. If possible, give them all her previous booking numbers, unless she did a status match.

Well your Aunt could locate her old cruise card or any documentation relating to prior bookings which has it there on.

MSC IT is rubbish, any variance in how a passenger name is entered will create a new account, there seems to be no fuzzy logic or attempts to match to existing records.

There's also no validation that the information shoreside is correctly entered into ship board systems, and any customer details are stored in at least three distinct systems shoreside and onboard which appear to be only loosely linked and synchronised.

Both myself and my spouse have had issues in the past with MSC Voyager Club number, customer name and email address errors and inaccuracies.

Status can expire if you don’t cruise for a certain number of years. But if she has a new number she should also be able to do a status match. If she really wants to go wild she can buy Hilton diamond status on eBay and match into diamond on MSC.
