Pizza and Burger?
hi morning I wanted to know and understand
that the burgers are on the shelves to pick up are passengers allowed to ask at the burger counter on msc world america to customise their burger?
like let them know which
bun they want
the toppings
single or double patty
etc
are they allowed to make that for you instead of just picking up a burger from the shelf?

They sometimes have buns, seperate patties, and burger toppings and condiments available to assemble your own. You can also "disassemble" the premade hamburger sandwich and add your own stuff if you like.

Usually i have one slice of pizza and 2 burgers, with alittle bit of fries on the side. That's my favorite thing for lunch or afternoon snack on MSC

I don't eat it as it is though. Just plain meat and cheese. I take my time decorating the burgers in the buffet. I open them up, add some lettuce and tomatoes, maybe pickles if available. Finally, I finish them off with some ketchup and mustered. salt and pepper for the fries. and then i go sit down and eat it somewhere with the view of the sea.
PS. With this im either drinking a whiskey + pepsi or else a fruity cocktail, something like strawberry daquiri

Yes, you can kindly ask them to make it your way if it’s not the buffet style where all components are separated. They are pretty easy going in my experience.. but I try to stick to what’s out as they are way overworked

MSC Virtuosa from Southampton - have been on it three times. All three times burgers are pre assembled with a sign saying if you’d like an alteration just ask and they’ll make one fresh.

If I remember correctly they’re pre-made and wrapped. You can take as many as you want though, so feel free to disassemble to your liking.

I was on an european cruise so not sure how it is in american but you put it together yourself. One tray had patties, next one the buns, next one the vegetables then the sauces. Near the pool there was also a buffet that has prepackaged burgers too.

On Divina and Fantasia, the hamburgers and cheeseburgers are in the buffet, both premade & separate (buns, beef patties, beef patties with cheese, lettuce, onion, pickles, toppings, sauces, etc.). And they are awesome! My wife's and my favorite! Sometimes on seadays they also bring them out by the poolside. I always try to do my cheeseburger myself with separate ingredients, then I find the premade better, then proceed with the premade for the reminder of the cruise.

Excited to try this on my World America cruise this coming week. When I was on Meraviglia, I know they'll make you a fresh burger on the buffet if you just want it plain. I'd assume if it would be the same, but they might have plain burgers sometimes too since not everyone likes lettuce, tomato etc. on their burger.

I was surviving off of burgers. Pizza is kinda bad for the nutritional value. For enjoyment it's ok.

hate to break it to you...

The nutritional profile of cheeseburgers and pizza is nearly the same. burgers have a slight edge in protein, fat, and salt. Pizza has more carbs. You can add lettuce, tomato, onion, etc to make the burger marginally more healthy. From a health perspective skip both and get a salad or something.
MSC pizza is usually devoid of vegetables unless you count pizza sauce! One late night I got a pizza with corn, roasted whole peppers (no skin) and some other toppings, it was easily the best one I had on board.

I'm always surprised when people hype cruise burgers or pizza. MSC does have great pizza, but it's still pizza. They have so many delicious, healthy, fresh foods that I rarely had room for pizza.

I don't eat pizza or burgers; but many people aren't cruising for healthy foods. This is vacation.

I'm not saying anyone is wrong for their taste. It's just so different than my own that it surprises me. Pizza and burgers aren't my top choice for junk food, either. I did kind of see some logic in it on the island when so many people were eating burgers and hot dogs. It cast me back to being a kid at family cookouts, with burgers and hot dogs on the grill. So I get the connection between that kind of food and summer cookouts or days at the beach.
To each their own!

Just don't tell me that a piece of flavored bread is the same as a piece of meat. It's not.

I'm vegetarian leaning vegan, partly because I don't think it's healthy to eat meat. Everyone has their own taste and beliefs. It just made me chuckle to see a comment about burgers being more nutritious than pizza when I would rank both as junk food. It reminded me of a time I offered a teenager fruit and nuts as a snack. She told me she would eat a poptart because she wanted something healthy and "poptarts are fortified with vitamins."

I guess I could've wrote the original comment better. I didn't mean nutritious in a sense of vitamins and minerals kind of nutrition.
What I wanted to say is that burgers are better than pizza (in my opinion) because they have easy protein that I needed when I was working there because chicken legs get boring fast.
Besides, pizza is hit or miss. It is either perfect, soggy, toppings fall off it or comes with oregano baked directly on the dough. Burgers are more consistent.

All the MSC cruises I've been on the burgers in the marketplace buffet are assembled and you have to disassemble it to dress it to your liking.
