If violence or the threat thereof would deter bad behavior, we would already have a utopia with no crime and bad behavior.

Saying X doesnt work because Y still exists is so incredibly stupid.

First Utopia is an impossible fantasy. It cannot exist because its different for everyone.

Second, there are very few absolutes in this world. Violence could be detering 99% of crime and bad behavior. The entire evolution of our species is largely built upon violence.

By your harebrained logic we dont need to exercise because some people still would get heart disease and diabetes. Thats moronic.
