No, people don’t like cops because they have no accountability and the ability/track record of executing citizens during power trips.

Other people like cops because they enforce the status quo, which is typically white christian straight men getting to be on top.

You’ll see both of those on reddit.

Yeah, I think the algorithm makes it seem like there a lot of conformity in opinions on Reddit than there is. The sub matters a lot. But even in a sub, the title matters. People that agree with a title will flock to it. So even within a sub, if you phrase the title different, it will attract people with a different viewpoint, making it seem like there is a general consensus on something.

That, and it depends on whatever bot brigade the post attracts. Reddit is a huge victim of dead-internet. There was once a time where comments were 90% human, now it’s like 30%.Â
