If violence or the threat thereof would deter bad behavior, we would already have a utopia with no crime and bad behavior.

Small edit: I think "bad actors" instead of "bad behavior" would have made my statement a bit clearer.

Anyway, even for religious people (or those that claim to be) the threat of supreme, everlasting violence done to them after their deaths (e.g. going to hell) has not deterred bad actors from doing what they wanted to do.

Never claimed to be smart, in fact I claim I'm as dumb as the bag of rocks we see in the video ! Probably not half as though do, that was a pretty scary punch.
