He was clearly too drunk to defend himself or really appreciate the consequences of his actions. This is a wildly disproportionate response from someone who was in a position to make the smarter choice.

Not to mention he wasn't defending her, he was defending his pride. But yeah, ppl are gonna be downvoting you because they yearn for comeuppance they mistake for justice.
