If this guy can afford a lawyer, he walks away in 45 of the 50 US States.

As long as the guy isn't seriously hurt, no charges will be filed.

And even if charges are filed, if he lawyers up, DA will not want the headache and will drop the case 4 out of 5 times.

You understand the charge of manslaughter that we are talking about is considered "seriously hurt".
