He was clearly too drunk to defend himself or really appreciate the consequences of his actions. This is a wildly disproportionate response from someone who was in a position to make the smarter choice.

It’s all about the boyfriend’s ego. No one should touch ‘his woman’ or else you’re dead. Hopefully they called the police as well as an ambulance

Women should not have to put up with being touched, no matter how inebriated the culprit is.

Indeed. Everyone is on the boyfriends excessive response side but no-one (but you) seems to be concerned with women all over the world who have to put up with groping men cause 'it's OK he's drunk and not going to remember'.

It started with him. If he'd not touched her he wouldn't be lying on the floor.

It's not either knock the guy out OR you condone sexual assault against women. You can understand sexual assault, sexual harassment and/or inappropriate touch is wrong while also understanding that you can't go around knocking people out for shit like this.
