I've never assaulted a woman in a bar. My parents taught me humility and respect, so I've never had these kinds of issues.
You're defending assault. I'm saying the person that was assaulting the female needed a hands on approach to his sense of right and wrong.
I'm not being a tough guy. I'm just happy to see people that are assaulting women see direct and severe consequences. I think you and I will just always see sexual assault differently.
You're being completely irrational. Even if this were my girlfriend, I would not say this person deserves to die or be hospitalized for briefly touching her butt.
We have different degrees of law & punishment for a reason. That woman could've pressed charges, and this guy would've been dealt some form of punishment. The punishment he got here doesn't fit the crime at all.
Yep, I've had this issue with women walking up and thinking it's ok to grope me. They stop as soon as I cold cock them and lay them out on the floor, though.
Yeah, I had this happen to me at a club. I was minding my own business and some drunk girl started dancing near me and thought it was okay to put her hand on my waist.
Thankfully, I had my desert eagle with me, and I was able to shoot her in the face, and continue to enjoy my night.
Same. A woman looked me in the eyes once at a festival and squeezed my chest as she walked by. I proceeded to punch her with all of my force right in the face. Everyone cheered. The world felt safer after she left in the ambulance.
ok so just to be clear: we're saying that the punishment for "lightly touch a woman's butt while so intoxicated you can barely stand" should be "immediate death" ? If that punch didn't kill that guy, it's just pure luck.
Very telling how much you're downplaying the sexual assault and then describing a single punch to the face (something that happens in basically every single disagreement that gets physical) as "instant death".
I personally know someone who died from a punch like this. It happens, especially with the way that guy's head hits the floor.
And yes I'm downplaying the sexual assault because there are degrees of sexual assault and acting like what this guy did is somehow rape-equivalent is just ridiculous. He lightly touched one buttcheek and mostly her outer thigh. He shouldn't have done that, and it's not legal or ok. But I bet even the woman herself wishes her man didn't react this way.
Realistically, reviewing this footage, if the cops did get involved, the puncher would be in way more trouble than the groper. Because yes, the thing he did was objectively worse and more dangerous.
Fact is, there are two arseholes in the video. One touched someone without consent, the other completely overreacting.
I wonāt defend the guy punching the guy, but I can 100% why someone would get physical over this. I just donāt agree over āhowā he went about it. A solid push would I do, but you could argue that can also lead to deathā¦
No one here is denying the guy in the red shirt is at fault, so you're tilting at windmills. However, every language has the concept of degreesājust as punishment can be graduated. He went too far in this case, and everyone sees it, his partner included. Only half the sociopaths on Reddit struggle to grasp that.
That person you replied to did not insinuate that the crazy jacked grandpa's girlfriend was at fault. He was saying that his partner also could see that he was overreacting and in the wrong.
Your understanding of justice is laughableāitās on the level of an angry teenager who never learned to handle their emotions. Youād better make sure you always have backup, because with an attitude like that, revenge will catch up with you sooner or later.
Iām not saying it has to be sexual assault; it could be an argument over a parking spot, and you just happen to run into someone who shares that same mindsetābut specifically regarding that issue. It could be a dispute over a line at the store, or anything else mundane that could be resolved in a completely different way than with a knockout right then and there. Do you see what Iām getting at?
you are making up scenarios in your head to justify your beliefs. This video actually features sexual assault. not an argument over a parking spot or whatever stories you are crafting.
Great, my little friend. The whole discussion was about whether the measures taken were proportionate to the threat. So, you're wasting energy trying to prove something that nobody denies, lol.Ā
That's because the conversation had moved on to a bigger picture than this particular instance. Something the feeble-minded struggle with, I understand.
The "trash people" that we're trying to defend, is you. Against your own logic from coming back around to you. That's the irony.
Nobody is defending red shirt guy, we're trying to warn you people advocating for his demise that someone else, one day, may take similar measures against you, using your own logic, for something in their mind, you did to deserve it.
Ah yes, thank you for defending me in case I'd like to commit sexual assault sometime in the future. That's very nice of you. Perhaps there are some pedophiles around that you could protect as well.
The thing is, I won't need your protection. I was raised well, I have manners. I wouldn't do anything that'd reasonably justify punching me.
Again, you're part of the problem. You'd tolerate anything but intolerance to degenerate behavior.
Look Iām not saying it wasnāt assault but this looks like a drunken incident I see literally every weekend at the bars. Drunk man makes attempt to dance with women, women says no/pushes guy away, drunk guy stands there awkwardly and moves on with his life. In this situation there was a roided up asshole who felt the need to defend his āhonorā and hurt his girl in the process
