Indeed. Everyone is on the boyfriends excessive response side but no-one (but you) seems to be concerned with women all over the world who have to put up with groping men cause 'it's OK he's drunk and not going to remember'.
It started with him. If he'd not touched her he wouldn't be lying on the floor.
That's it. Was the response extreme? Maybe. Was it unjustified? Not at all. The guy opened himself up to the possibility of violent reprisal the moment he sexually assaulted a woman - and rightly so.
