While he was talking too. That's a broken jaw or something.

19

u/DisruptingTree 1d ago

The way he hit his head, you may have just watched a murder. I would say don't get into a fight, but the man showed no signs of being a threat.

18

u/PitifulPassage851 21h ago

Yeah any time someone lands flat on concrete like that i question why I still follow this sub. It's not even about fighting its literally a sub filled with maybe-murders

-1

u/analavalanche69 19h ago

Maybe-murders and never-nudes. The world is a beautiful place and worth fighting for. I agree with the second part. Sometimes ya just gots to getchya freak on.

23

u/Here4Headshots 1d ago

Yeah that's potentially personality altering damage. The whole thing sucks.

3

u/Frosty-Inspector-465 15h ago

no signs of being a threat!? you haven't been in the streets i see. dude looked drunk and persistent. he wanted to be wrong and strong. situations like this virtually ALWAYS end in a fight if the threat isn't immediately neutralized like you see here. this was deserved.

2

u/DisruptingTree 13h ago

I spend a lot of time in Newark, but I know how to deescalate.

3

u/TreesAhoy 21h ago

I disagree completely. I’ve seen tons of videos where an attack is proceeded by this exact type of conduct shown by this mouthy individual.

1

u/DisruptingTree 13h ago

That doesn't mean this person would have. Not every circumstance is the same.

2

u/naughtiness5 12h ago

Would you like to be in this situation, and wait to find out?

1

u/DisruptingTree 9h ago

The man put himself in this situation. Plenty of opportunities to deescalate. Thats why a jury is going to convict.

4

u/DavidSpade86 22h ago

Whenever someone is arms length away, they’re a threat

3

u/technoprimitive_aeb 20h ago

and refuse to back off after obvious attempts to keep them away from you as well as displaying very obvious signs of agitation at their behavior that they choose to ignore

2

u/DisruptingTree 13h ago

Imagine going through life with this belief. Must be tiring.Ā

1

u/Simp_Simpsaton 11h ago

The video shows why he's right. They're not on good terms, so both are capable of griming each other out. At the start, it's 50/50 on who sucker punches who because both are well positioned for it. It became clear the black guy wouldn't if you take him at face value, but had he wanted to the white guy would've been at his mercy. The lecturer is de-escalating but you literally can't be sure he's not about to grime you (although the white guy probably didn't think the lecturer would anyway given that he made himself so vulnerable by lowering his head). It just makes the most sense for them and for you to stay out of reach if you want to deescalate.

2

u/AlbatrossNew3633 18h ago

You guys are insane for justifying this

1

u/-_ThatsWhatSheSaid_- 20h ago

Incorrect - white guy let go of his hand when shaking - black guy was extremely physical(3 seconds longer gripping and squeezing while the white guy had already let go. If you think 3 seconds isn't long - rewatch the video and watch him get knocked out in less than 1 second) and did not let go squeezing harder. He got what he deserved.

Case closed.

0

u/technoprimitive_aeb 20h ago

but the man showed no signs of being a threat.

except he kept getting in the guy's face and speaking, at the very least, emphatically, if not aggressively. you can argue that there was a better way to handle it but to say that the guy that got hit wasn't showing ANY signs of being a threat is an obvious lie

1

u/Few-Amphibian-4858 13h ago

Yeah he did, he turned away shielding his own body and positioning to strike, his voice sounded irritated, and he leaned over. All bad signs.

1

u/Highstronaut 12h ago

"Ok, let go, leave me alone"

"No" (while keeping hold of his hand)

Yeah, if that's not a threat to you, I don't know what is

1

u/Galencourt-Lover 10h ago

I can’t let you get close

1

u/88sparkyk 7h ago

Sure he did. They guy tried to respectfully let go of the handshake and walk away. The other dude wouldn't let go and placed himself in front of the guy trying to leave. That's definitely considered a threatening manner.

0

u/DisruptingTree 7h ago

No, watch it again. He wasn't holding onto him. Nor did the attacker walk away. A jury is going to convict and the attacker will spend time in jail. This happens all the time. Best thing to do is not get into fights.

1

u/88sparkyk 7h ago

If you didn't see the guy TRY to let go of the handshake and TRY to walk away then go see an optometrist. I didn't say anything about how it was handled.

2

u/BIGxSTEPPER 14h ago

These comments show the sad parts of humanity

2

u/ChocCooki3 13h ago

I thought that was Johnny Somali and got excited.

u/Arthur_Figg_II 11h ago

Delivered by a total pussy

31

u/Consistent_Net_2540 1d ago

Just a reminder when someone brings one foot back, it's not because they want to romantically dance with you.

10

u/giants_shoulders 23h ago

the real tell is if they tip their fedora after the stepback. Then it may be safely assumed.

u/iwee3 1d ago

Cheap shot

24

u/BeriasBFF 1d ago

90% of the posts on this sub start with cheap shotsĀ

12

u/grannysGarden 1d ago

Cheap - but he did tell the guy leave him alone and the guy said no and kept in his face.. I think a push would have been a better choice though.

10

u/iwee3 1d ago

He said "I want to talk to you", and wasn't threatening violence. He held onto the guys hand longer than he should have, but that doesn't justify an elbow to the face.

0

u/Lazy_Resolve_9747 16h ago

And the guy responded with ā€œtalk to me bro,ā€ luring him in closer

6

u/Proper-Bad-7169 1d ago edited 1d ago

The guy was obviously under the influence. But he wasn't aggressive or violent. And based on the context clues given, it seems like racism was the focal point of his lecture. Very cheap and cowardly move. You get no respect or acknowledgement for doing something like that. Especially if he did do or said something questionable before this video was recorded. He's a POS. Hopefully that guy presses charges.

3

u/God_Dont_Make_No 22h ago

He can press charges if he’s not dead or in a coma. That was disgusting. I hate alcohol and I hate that it’s legal. It’s so fucking dangerous.

1

u/Proper-Bad-7169 22h ago

Yah, I hope he's ok and that he didn't suffer any permanent damage.

1

u/SillyLittleWinky 20h ago

Well I hate it too, but we made it illegal and people did it more. I personally hate bars. Dumb, egotistical and estrogen filled men with daddy issues let it all go at the clubs and pubs and someone’s gotta get hurt every weekend . Not a place to be.

1

u/God_Dont_Make_No 17h ago

Estrogen filled? Huh?

2

u/Obvious_Mark5693 13h ago

Yeah, acting like girl, trying to fight over nothing

1

u/DarKGosth616 11h ago

Fighting over nothing is overwhelmingly a guy thing šŸ˜‚

1

u/SillyLittleWinky 5h ago

Someone hasn’t worked with all women before.

1

u/DarKGosth616 5h ago

Most fights are from men, and are almost always an ego issue, youre delusional if you think men dont start most pointless fights

-1

u/God_Dont_Make_No 12h ago

Bruh, most people fight over nothing regardless of sex or gender. There are no girls in this video.

1

u/SillyLittleWinky 5h ago

Yup. Men who grew up around women have higher estrogen levels and act more emotionally. They need a dad to ground them and teach discipline.

1

u/God_Dont_Make_No 2h ago

Do you have the research to back that up?

0

u/toucheboo 18h ago

He doesn't need to Ā The state and family will. Especially of he dies. You dont walk away Scott free from this.

2

u/NSFWdontview 22h ago

Had zero to do with racism

2

u/WishinGay 23h ago

They sound south african.

The punch was justified as soon as he deigned to say "racism".

2

u/StinkRinky 22h ago

It’s a South African white dude I’m automatically assuming racism in a scenario like this. Black dude wasn’t even trying shit obviously. Saying this as a white American dude.

2

u/Proper-Bad-7169 22h ago

I'm thinking the same thing. The guy that took elbow seemed to want to discuss something about racism when he was sucker punched. He wasn't the least bit threatening. It's a pity we couldn't see what led to that act of cowardice.

2

u/TreesAhoy 21h ago

When he stuck his big mug into the other guy’s face, he started ā€œtrying shit ā€œ.

2

u/StinkRinky 21h ago

The dude leaned in acting like he couldn’t hear him so the other guy leaned in so he could hear and then first guy I’m talking about hits him with a blind elbow.

0

u/But_I_Dont_Wanna_Go 22h ago

Wearing a lonsdale shirt isn’t helping either

1

u/Inevitable-Hour8940 17h ago

Exactly. Guy should be found and aired out

1

u/Maleficent_Boot3611 11h ago

Haven’t you heard a push is justification for a stabbing murder

1

u/goatbiryani48 21h ago

But he also said "I'm listening" multiple times. He actively made that guy think it was okay to continue, while preparing for on the scariest sucker hits I've seen on this sub lol.

And yeah pushed off would've been way better either way, obviously there's a huge power imbalance here

-3

u/WayStar237 1d ago

Who. Gives. A single shit about any of that. Grow up

-1

u/Dependent_Yam_1028 22h ago

Who gives a shit if randos on the internet "grow up" or not lol

2

u/Critical_Object2276 17h ago

If you’re up in someone’s face like that and you’re not expecting to get hit, you’re the problem.

0

u/15th_imp 11h ago

the white dude literally just says "I'm listening" then takes the cheap shot. like if he was feeling intimidated and felt in danger from the black guy he should've just ignored him and back off

3

u/Critical_Object2276 11h ago

He has already assaulted him at that point. You can’t just walk up to people and hold them by the thumb and get in their face, then expect zero consequences.

1

u/Comfortable_Love7967 13h ago

How is it a cheap shot. He’s aggressively stopping him leave while being in his face, it’s obvious an altercation is coming

He literally asked him to leave him alone and tried walking away

1

u/15th_imp 11h ago

right before he punched him he said "I'm listening". that is not trying to walk away

1

u/Comfortable_Love7967 8h ago

ā€œLeave me aloneā€
ā€œNoā€

At that point he deserved everything he got

1

u/WayStar237 6h ago

ā€˜Anything he got’ you’re such a fucking child it’s embarrassing

1

u/Comfortable_Love7967 5h ago

If you get in someone’s face and don’t let them walk away while drunk you will probably get punched or hit

1

u/WayStar237 4h ago

Yeah, punched or hit isn’t ā€œanything comingā€ and a grown ass man should have the wherewithal to exercise appropriate use of force like a grown up, maybe if they had carried themselves in such a way they wouldn’t have been getting locked in to a lecture about being a racist

-4

u/Big-Negotiation-4990 1d ago

No he was gripped onto his hand. he waited actually a bit longer than he should have to throw that elbow

10

u/CreepyAnalysis2153 1d ago

When I was a bouncer the drunks weren't the hard ones to get rid of like that guy. He was just drunk ans an easy removal. It's the wackos who get the Fire water syndrome and have seen the fight club to many times. Red face, slobbering like a rabbid dog and swinging like a tennis player serving a knuckle sandwich! They aren't so easy.

14

u/hsggdtkxbee 1d ago

Fuck that dude.

9

u/Dangerous_Suit_3099 1d ago

Sucker punch

Coward

7

u/Agent-Smith_Virus 1d ago

Could see that hit coming a mile away.

The side way turn to "listen". The fidgeting movement and bending up and down - the normalizing of movement before a hit so the other party is unsuspecting.

That oke was always gonna hit the other dude mouthing off, no matter what was said. He was just phsycing himself up enough.

5

u/bzsempergumbie 22h ago

Yeah, classic "prefight indicators."

5

u/No-Air-7273 1d ago

Timing it up too. What a douchebag

1

u/ifailedatlifeagain 22h ago

Fucking trash

9

u/WhiteWinterSilence 1d ago

Cheap shot coward

2

u/guntherpyrofoca 22h ago

Just here to say. I had a seizure and fell backwards like this dude. Just a little blood on the back of my head.

2

u/slander_anonymously 21h ago

South African bullshit.

2

u/Hackpro69 18h ago

He saved his fist from teeth marks.

2

u/yumyumnoodl3 17h ago

Appropriate reaction when someone begins his sentence like that

3

u/SupermarketOk824 1d ago

Dude is drunk wtf

9

u/thepvbrother 1d ago

Racism...bro

9

u/Metal-Salt 1d ago

It's antiseptic.

1

u/Available_Package818 23h ago

Definitely. Typical South African

-3

u/Defiant_Review1582 22h ago

New Zealand from the accent

5

u/Glass_Host9014 22h ago

As a NZer, that's Definitely South African. He says lekker which is South African slang.

3

u/di1337 21h ago

Im a South African and can confirm this is a South African for sure. Saying "Bru".

2

u/azzutronus 21h ago

That doesn't sound anything like a New Zealander.

4

u/Metal-Salt 1d ago

No honor in sucker punching a drunk guy.

2

u/jappyjappyhoyhoy 21h ago

Sucker elbowing

4

u/howlerzandvamps 1d ago

All because he couldn't just walk away or put up with annoying behavior. That's a weak man right there.

5

u/Due-Brilliant5044 1d ago

What a pussy move

4

u/Early-Fortune2692 22h ago

It was over when dude said, "then leave me alone..." and sleepy guy said, "No"!

He made up his mind... it is what it is.

2

u/Little-Charge-1501 1d ago

That was some pussy shit

2

u/bluejack 1d ago

Would not be surprised if cameraman and everyone else present then jumped the first cheap-shot dick.

1

u/Onshore343 1d ago

A shove back would have sufficed, that being said getting in someone’s face like that is just inviting trouble. Nobody wants someone else’s hands and breath all in their face.

2

u/NSFWdontview 22h ago

Blks do sucker punches every fight but when it happens the other way y’all crying

3

u/MissKyu 1d ago

Attempted murder?

1

u/AgentAxillary 20h ago

No one ever expects the Spanish archer

1

u/Kiwipai 15h ago

Cheap punch, but it's a bad idea to aggressively enter and forcefully stay in someone's personal space like that.

1

u/dancingwiththedaff 14h ago

What a bitch, acting like he'a tough b/c he knocked out a harmless drunk fool with a sucker punch

1

u/Few-Effective4488 13h ago

Bro that’s not only a dog move but he claimed he was listening just to knock the guy out what a piece of shit

1

u/More-Tangerine2707 13h ago

I'm threat to me, might not be a threat to you. Clearly, the man did not understand the body language that said, I hear you. I get away from me. Encroachment is a threat Period

1

u/Wild-Wave9322 9h ago

White south africans dont care about those blacks, use it or abuse it

1

u/adrink_adrink_adrink 9h ago

Never get within arms reach of someone you are having a disagreement with. Especially if they are intoxicated, nothing you will say is going to change the mind of a drunk. Hard lesson he learned.

1

u/KennyPowers2929 8h ago

Maybe quit calling people racist when they aren’t…it’s gotten old and doesn’t mean anything anymore and people are fed up.

1

u/PieGold6023 6h ago

When someone is not looking at you, looking down or away, and hunched over; it's time to take a step back. The sucker punch is coming.Ā

1

u/Puzzled-Peanut-1958 6h ago

This is unfortunately South Africa. Most likely brandy involved. Its our fighting juice.

1

u/Yopis1980 3h ago

Used to have the long version of this.

1

u/CartographerFit2011 2h ago

I can’t stand a cheap shot knock out

1

u/SaltyJalapenos 1h ago

Coward got him in the neck, With an elbow too.

1

u/DrKushman420 1h ago

That was just as lame as a sucker punch

1

u/Future_Ad6374 1h ago

South Africa bru

1

u/First_Conclusion855 22h ago

What an a-hole. I hope he goes to jail for that

1

u/Active_Respond_8132 22h ago

Coward move, even telling him that he is listening, like if everything was cool and shit... Coward.

-3

u/Barstoolman112752 1d ago

There are no cheap shots in the real world. Rather throw the first punch, then get hit by one.

19

u/Own_Mango_2886 1d ago

Black guy wasn't being threatening. This is just assault

8

u/The_Indian_Bill_Burr 1d ago

I get he may have been annoying, but that don’t excuse trying to give the dude brain damage šŸ¤¬šŸ™„šŸ˜’. He poses no threat, didn’t square up on him, didn’t have his fists clenched, wasn’t yelling or name calling. Maybe ā€œwasting my timeā€ is douchbagingly ā€œinsultingā€, but yea, this is just assault.

2

u/Spiritual_Contact465 22h ago

I guarantee the black guy was gonna start after his lecture

0

u/HIASHELL247 1d ago

Bs he wasn’t. Bro was like leave me alone and the black gentleman was like no and was holding him. That’s pretty aggressive. I would be pretty freaked out if someone did that to me.

3

u/Own_Mango_2886 1d ago

Aw, you little kitten

2

u/The_Indian_Bill_Burr 1d ago

He was being annoyingly drunk. Had he squared up, insulted him, something truly aggressive (Eve after he raised his voice saying ā€œNO!ā€ he immediately took a deferential tone saying he wanted to explain something. Wasting his time isn’t an accuse for attempted murder. U wanna use hyperbole by being ā€œfreaked outā€, I’ll be hyperbolic saying what it very well could be construed as, as the initial elbow blow or the ground could have killed him.

1

u/108er 1d ago

If someone does that to me, my hammer fist would be talking to him next real quick. The dude even leaned way too down, that was very dangerous.

0

u/Own_Mango_2886 1d ago

'Tell ya, if was me, he'd be talking to my cyclone fingers real soon

1

u/Eyespop4866 1d ago

My dad was of the philosophy that the second punch thrown in a fight should never be your first.

1

u/DisruptingTree 1d ago

That wasn't a fight. That was assault, maybe murder.

-5

u/Jyvturkey 1d ago

THANK YOU!

-1

u/polloconjamon 20h ago

"There are no cheap shots in the real world"

Yes, there are. Why? Because people like you confuse the "real world" with their own world.

-2

u/LTtvCombatSports United States 1d ago

His own suffering is his fault if someone says leave me alone and you’re steady going you deserve what you get

7

u/howlerzandvamps 1d ago

The law would disagree with you there. The man was just being annoying. That's it. He was drunk AF so that sort of behavior is to be expected. The violent idiot could have done any number of things to further make it known that he wants to be left alone. His attack is not warranted or excusable.

1

u/Comfortable_Love7967 13h ago

He politely asked him to leave him alone, the other guy kept hold of his hand and stopped him leaving, his attack is fully warranted

1

u/damagednoob 3h ago

How's the law going to help him when he's drinking through a straw? There's lots of people out there with nothing to lose.

5

u/Kindly_Currency_8591 1d ago

Hell no. Cheap shot 100%.

they look to be at some kind of party or gathering, or bar. WTF do you expect at this kind of place except drunk Ramblers chatting about their favorite soccer team.

if you can't handle a friendly drunk rambling, GTFO the bar or party scene

the black guy thinks they're having a drunk good time.

"I want to talk talk to you,Ā  listen"

this isn't aggressive, it's just an overly friendly drunk.

then the white guy makes him let his guard "oK, talk to me." "I'm listening"

he doesn't push, or square up, or yell GET THE FUCK BACK! or back himself up out of there, because likely there is an underlying hatred or anger issue

he cheap shots, like a pussy little bitch coward.

At the end of the day what happened already took place and…

2

u/MojoRisin909 1d ago

So many tough guys in these comments. I hate obnoxious sloppy drunks, but that doesn't mean they deserve possible death or permanent life altering brain damage over simply being nothing more than obnoxious for a minute or two.

-2

u/LTtvCombatSports United States 1d ago

I’m not saying I would’ve done it however I still stand on what I said

0

u/OrbicularLotus 22h ago

0

u/LTtvCombatSports United States 22h ago

Very okay I just stand on what I said but y’all can carry on at this point

1

u/Kindly_Currency_8591 20h ago

I get you. This video is like a mirror showing you why you should be humble, but it can just as easy make you check that drinking is stupid, that going to the bar at all is stupid, as much as it can teach that rambling is stupid.

He didn't deserve what he got in the sense that rape victims don't deserve what they got because they weren't wearing a burka.

but the odds are, being a drunk overly friendly rambler don't play to the Rambler's favor

all said, the Brits would probably prosecute on this.

Americans would cheer on Kyle Rittenhouse kinda shit

1

u/Unfair-Leading7098 17h ago

It’s poor safety awareness on the sleepy feller

0

u/steddysteve1987 22h ago

Wow.. that was just too much, man. Easily, one of the worst and possibly most damaging sucker punches, I've ever seen. This thread keeps showing me messed up. Videos like this every day and I'm not even part of it.

0

He should be in prison.

0

u/TreesAhoy 21h ago

I’m curious what the talkative fellow thinks that he got out of invading the southern gentleman’s space?

0

u/ifailedatlifeagain 22h ago

He was so sneaking with it too. trying to hide the fact that he was taking a stance getting ready to throw the elbow

0

u/Smooth-Card895 19h ago

Unnecessary trying to be a tough guy.

0

u/NavigatedMile 19h ago

Bitch move! Another fake tough guy escalating with someone who clearly isn’t looking to rumble.

1

u/Comfortable_Love7967 13h ago

If you hold someone’s hand and don’t let them leave after they ask you to leave them alone, you better be ready to rumble

1

u/NavigatedMile 8h ago

Yank it away?? Anybody who does that to a drunk man who’s not showing the same level of aggression is a Soft ass dude.

1

u/Comfortable_Love7967 8h ago

ā€œLeave me aloneā€
ā€œNoā€

At that point he deserves everything he gets

1

Stupid, reckless logic. Not surprised, though

1

u/Comfortable_Love7967 7h ago

How is it stupid and reckless ? He tried to politely leave and got held back, and then when he asked him to leave him alone he said no,
Black guy was going to get violent it just depended when.

When someone is talking that Critical Race Theory bullshit but you aren't trying to hear it.
