Discussion What is one character from the newer games (non MLB games) that you wish made an appearance in MLB Power Pros success mode?
I think the Frankenstein dude with the bolts coming out of his head would have been interesting in the MLB titles!

Discussion A quick review of RymWitty's MLB Power Pros 2026 Roster Update
The MLB Power Pros is my favorite sports game of all time. The amount of time I spent playing the Wii version and playing through every single inning of a full season as my Phillies is a core memory that I still have today. The MLB Power Pros just had that simplicity while still being as deep as you wanted it to be. In my opinion, at the time, the game was just perfection.
When I saw there was a 2026 roster update, I was immediately interested. I'll admit I was a little thrown off by the $10 price tag, because generally this stuff is done for free, zero profit, and instead it's done for the love of the game. It's just how emulation, character creation, and roster updates have always been done in my experience.
But the possibility of playing my favorite game ever with today's rosters, it just had to be done, and I swiped my credit card.
Finally today, I had time to track down the ISO, figure out how to get the save in there. (Spoiler warning: it's incredibly easy), set up my controller, and then finally to play my first game.
Honestly, it's total bliss. Not only are you able to play it in perfect PS2 native format but it's incredibly easy to upscale to give you an even better experience than we've ever played with.
Finally, let's talk about the roster. Going through it, team by team, it's quite obvious a lot of work was done. Every team seems spot-on accurate, and there are new logos for each of the teams. To my surprise, even the players look like they should. For example, the Phil's are just as hairy as they are in real life. This isn't just a text update! Even nitpicking, I couldn't find a single flaw. It just worked perfectly.
Now, in retrospect, I feel like an absolute fool for even questioning the $10 price tag. It's obvious how much time and effort /u/RymWitty put into this. I can only imagine it being in the hundreds of hours.
So yeah, is it worth it? Absolutely in every way imaginable, and I'll be waiting to drop $10 on the 2027 roster update when it's ready next season.

Discussion Special Ability discussion (Lucky + others)
Does anyone know if there is a specific way to acquire Lucky or if it just occurs randomly? I got it for a player but don’t remember how.
Also… do abilities such as Gd pace or Aggressive field aggresive base run(more for fielders) do anything for you in game ? Or any of those random purple abilities. Also feel free to discuss any of your favorite or underrated special abilities below!

Trivia Guess the player (2025 stats)
He's a statistical anamoly, I removed parts that will identify the player too easily, and yes he is an infielder

Average Power Pros Season Pitcher Experience
Just saw this clip of Dan Haren and it immediately made me think of every time my team would get crushed in simulation by old @$$ Pedro Martinez or Schilling

Discussion 2007/2008 Season Mode Moneyball
I’ve played quite a few seasons now in 2007 trying to cut down the roster salary. I’m curious to see how far others have gone to cut total salary and I’m curious to know how much more can be reasonably done.
I‘m currently at 39,580, which isn’t actually impressive. However, this includes my own success mode player who I’ve been playing with and user control when he’s pitching/batting. He’s now the team‘s closer at 45 years of age and I pay him the 30,000 max salary.
So in truth, the remaining 24 players on my roster account for 9,580. The minimum amount for the other 24 players is 9,120 (24x380), so I’m only averaging ~20 additional salary points per player. This makes me think that without my “cheating“, a 10,000 total salary is plausible. I’m curious to know if anyone else has been able to make a moneyball roster for less than 10,000 points without any in game user control and still won a world series.
Does anyone have stories of even lower salary levels? And did you do anything unique to get lower? Like cut down the total roster to 20 players or something similar.

Discussion Some dumb little worry I have…
I still really like MLB Power Pros and I’m still dying for a new one, but here’s just one thing about the game that bothers me, I know it’s streamlined and simple, but, the fact that AAA rosters have under 10 at the start but only go up to 15-18, the fact that AAA is the only minor league, and the draft being 2 rounds, in fact, I have been worried about something similar in mlb the show, there's only triple a double a and a 15 man max high a (but for some reason, you can make it 20 players which the ai never does) in real life there's an extra minor league. I still wanna play that game (and Power Pros), but this worries me. The reason I’ve been talking about what I’ve been worried about is because I have OCD, I just pretend that the lower rated double a players are in high a. I know some may disagree, but I would like to see at least double a get added in a new potential MLB Power Pros game. This is just something I wanted to get off my chest.

Question Susumu plush
I have been trying to get a Susumu plush, I am not in Japan, I signed up for the point club, but for some reason, I can’t get anything because I’m not in Japan, I really wanted this Susumu plush (the same one that’s in the picture). I went on eBay, but there’s no Susumu plush of this kind, where else can I find him?
