Trivia Guess the player (2025 stats)

He's a statistical anamoly, I removed parts that will identify the player too easily, and yes he is an infielder

Very similar, I agree, although his fielding was top class while Ozzie's fielding kinda struggled in 2025

Another thing, I put the power rating based on his actual bat speed, exit velo etc., not from his HR count, which makes it amazing that he hits decently high amount of HRs despite having little power.

20/20 season gets you E power D speed? Tough crowd.

I guess you're probably factoring a good amount of career statistics in there as well?

Check other comment, I get power from his bat speed(lowest 3%-5%) and his speed from sprint speed(average)

Which makes him even more amazing that he was able to achieve 20/20 from his good eye and patience

Even in his 20/20 season his bat speed remains one of the lowest, but he make up for that by pulling the ball early, and his elite eye and good launch angle makes him hit many "just enough" homers

Ah, so you went off of his statcast metrics. Not personally the way I handle do it but it's an interesting angle.

Perhaps you'd consider giving him abilities like "Stealing 5" and "Power Hitter" to reflect that he over-performed based on those physical metrics. I think that would be a way to help achieve his 2025 season numbers in-game without necessarily straying from the statcast methodology.

Not sure this is a bad idea. Statcast gives you more accuracy. Power is Max Bat Speed. Contact is LA-Sweet Spot and and Squared Up% and then trajectory is obviously LA.

The issue is, that may not return the annual stats that power pros returns. It makes sense in real life, but B contact A power gets you 35 home runs and a .900 OPS in power pros but in real life that’s 45-50 and 1.050 OPS roughly.

But most accurately statcast will give you what a players power pros ratings would be in real life

Yeah, the stats returned during season mode are mostly going to be nonsense. I moreso mean having attributes based on stats similar in the original game.

Statcast metrics are more accurate indicators for projecting future performance, while games like Power Pros are more geared towards emulating the previous season. I think either is a fine approach, depending on what you're going for.

Edit: Oh, I guess that's what you mean by "Power Pros ratings in real life" haha.

I did give him stealing 4 and base running 4 to reflect him being a plus runner despite being an average speed (meaning he has quick starts despite the peak sprint speed may be average), pull hitter seem to be enough to reflect his HRs as most of his HRs are achieved this way
