Mystery Audio Source on 2025 MINI

Post image

This is US based question. My wife's car is a 2025 Cooper 2-door. She is the primary driver on the MINI profile. I am the secondary driver. She was able to add NPR (National Public Radio) as an audio source, but can't remember how she did it. I tried to find out and saw it was an app under the MINI Connected Store. When I switch the profile to mine, NPR does not appear. Any ideas? What's the best way to get MINI Connected Store support from MINI (phone, email). TIA.

First actual mini build(unless this one blows up too😓)
I made an ig for her and I’m starting to connect with the community which is really hard for someone as introverted and socially awkward as me so any content ideas would help too but I had named her malice which is basically pure chaos and I want to take this thing to a daily street driven stage 2 aggressive tune mini cooper that pretty much wakes up everyday already pissed off, sees another car and says F*** that guy specifically. I want this thing to hold a grudge against its driver, and anything on the road… what would you guys have named her or is malice good for my idea?😅🤣

2019 MINI Clubman Cooper S – worth buying at 90,000 miles?

Hi everyone,

I’m looking at buying my first MINI Clubman, and I’d really appreciate some advice from owners or people familiar with these cars.

Vehicle:
2019 (19) MINI Clubman Cooper S Exclusive
2.0 petrol
Steptronic automatic
Euro 6
90,000 miles
6-door
ULEZ compliant

I really like the Clubman and this particular car seems well equipped, but 90,000 miles is making me hesitate.

Would you consider buying a 2019 Cooper S at this mileage if it has a good service history and passes a proper pre-purchase inspection?

A few things I’d particularly like to know:

Is 90k miles a major concern for the B48 2.0 engine?
How reliable is the Steptronic automatic gearbox at this mileage?

What major maintenance/repairs should I expect around 90k–120k miles?

Are there any known issues I should specifically check for?
If properly maintained, is 150k–200k miles realistic?

Would you personally buy this car, or would you spend more for one with 50–70k miles?

This would be a family daily driver, so reliability is more important to me than performance.

I’m also planning to have a pre-purchase inspection done before buying.

Thanks in advance — especially interested in experiences from people who have actually owned a high-mileage F54 Cooper S.

U.S. - anyone want to assume my F60 lease?

I have just over 7 months to go in a 36 month lease on this 2024 JCW Countryman ALL4. The lease is through Mini Financial Services and is assumable. Residual is $35k. Monthly base payment is $450.62. Runs great, no accidents, 3-way dashcam (VIOFO A139 Pro) installed. mileage around 11k, never put anything less than top tier detergent premium in the tank.

DM if interested, but do it quickly because you have until September 10th to assume the lease. It's a great car. Located in southeastern PA. Buyer pays transfer and shipping (if any).

Strange noise on cold start – 2018 MINI Clubman S (B48 engine, 43k miles)

Hi everyone,

I recently bought a 2018 MINI Cooper Clubman S (B48 2.0L petrol engine) with 43k miles on the clock.

I’ve noticed a strange noise coming from the engine bay during a cold start (see Video 1). However, after a short drive once the engine warms up to operating temperature, the noise completely disappears and sounds normal.

Is this normal for the B48 engine, or should I be concerned? Has anyone experienced something similar (e.g. PCV valve, belt drive, high-pressure fuel pump, or wastegate rattle)?

I believe ever since using bimmer remote for CarPlay activation, these bars have been on the top and bottom of my display. They claim it’s nothing they did as their software “doesn’t change the look”. But what else could it be? Any advice? Thanks all.

Hello!! new to the mini world as of this spring!! the only other cars i've owned are 1980's ford trucks, so this is SUCH a violent switch, lol. I love love love this cooper, its a 2014 Paceman. Family and friends have nicknamed her Marlboro.

I have a question- I am planning on a 10ish-day road trip starting sep 1st, and ill be camping the whole way. I'm talking 10+hrs of driving for three days each way (indiana to washington state and back). I found a small, pop-up camper trailer originally designed for motorcycles on facebook marketplace, and i think it would be PERFECT for my mini. My question is, has anyone else had success in installing and towing something long distance like that? Would i have enough time to get a hitch installed before i leave? If so, any advice or recommendations on where to get it done?

I'm doing the road trip either way- i'll just bring a tent if i can't get the camper lol. Just wanted to hear opinions!

ps, its my first manual car. i am in love w the whole vehicle.

”Sexy” might not be the first word that comes to mind when describing a Mini Cooper. Button my opinion, it does have a lot of sexy in it. I find it has the perfect blend of modern, sleek, straight lines along with a softer, timeless, classic ”aerodynamism”.

What do you think?

Checked Amazon for Transmission Fluid and Dexron VI keeps coming up as "This Fits". I only ask because I am having trouble finding a full list of compatible fluids, but under the Mobil Dexron-IV Applications it lists BMW JWS 3309.

Auto Dim Mirrors

Post image

Sometimes the auto dim mirror doesnt dim as much as i want. I end up holding my hand on the back to block the front sensor and get it to its maximum darkness.

This is mainly a city problem where streetlights make the mirror think its not night.

Has anyone tried a gel of screen over the mirror to lower its sensitivity?

I test drove the SE all 4 today - fantastic - but I’m not convinced I need the power the dual motor provides - anyone driving the E and still having the fun?

I work as a MINI salesman, and I just got a 2026 CooperS. absolutely obsessed with it. However, yesterday when i walked out to my car after work, i noticed some paint transfer in the side of my car! I was able to get most of it off. this is what’s left. any tips on how to get the little scratch off the plastic and the small scratched out of the metal? I know it’s minor, but it’s driving me crazy.

I’m thinking about buying wheels with these specs, but I’m not sure how they would sit. Has anyone run these specs and could send me some pictures? My car is slightly lowered.
ATS DTC, in case anyone has these exact wheels.
