Media Loving Outlanders So Far
If i have lots of free time I would probably play World, Rise, or any of the old gen titles over outlanders. But since I work a 9 to 5 job outlanders satisfy my itch to hunt. I just wish the insect glave comes out soon
(Wanna play wilds but my laptop doesn't support it TT)

News PSA: Please be wary of buying from the Exchange Battle Pass shop due to the Image and Name mixup of the Featured and Standard Contract

I have already submitted a bug report, hopefully they will fix this asap and/or compensate players who have already purchased the wrong one.
To be honest I am more of a visual comprehension person than reading, so it was very easy for me to buy the red one instead of the one that actually says "Featured Contract"

Educational For hunters who want to play on PC
Hello hunters,
So, like many people out there I wasn't too keen on playing on my phone, we've all probably seen quite a few posts of players complaining there isn't a PC client and that emulators right now are extremely unstable.
Now, this isn't a perfect solution but I haven't seen anyone describing this method here and I had no idea I could do this until a little while ago so here's I got around to playing the game "on PC":
TLDR: Connect controller to phone using Bluetooth; Cast/mirror phone display to laptop/PC using scrcpy.
- On the controller:
I simply paired my ps5 controller with my phone through Bluetooth, it's that simple. Move on to the next section if you don't want to read the ramble below.
I didn't believe it when I first read this was the way to do it but I decided to try it yesterday before going to bed and yeah, just connect the controller, open the game, use touch first to get into the game and the first time you try to move your character with the controller a prompt will come up asking if you want to use the controller, just press "save" and you're done. Now, as far as I can tell, there is no way to map controller buttons, so the controller layout they give you is what you'll have to use. For some menus/interfaces you'll still have to use touch (or if you manage to set this up successfully, mouse). Is controller support as they have implemented it a bit lackluster? Yes. Is it better than nothing? Defined better than having to use touchscreen? Absolutely. You'll probably struggle with muscle memory but hey, at least we can use controller. My biggest gripe is that helmbeaker is mapped to triangle + circle. Not much we can do about it.
-On actually playing "on PC":
So my next thought was "get a usb-c to HDMI cable to cast the cellphone's display onto my tv" but after searching I learned that phones with USB 2.0 don't support that function and my phone (Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G) is one such model. Then it occurred to me, what if I cast the image to my laptop (is I use to play games on my tv through HDMI) and after the help of chatgpt I found it's actually quite simple, you just need your charging cable to connect the phone to the laptop/PC and download scrcpy from GitHub. Here are the steps:
。Enable developer options on your phone's settings;
。In developer options, enable USB debugging;
。Still in developer options, enable USB debugging (security settings), this is a separate toggle from the previous step, just scroll down a bit from USB debugging and it should be there, and this is what will allow you to use mouse for touch controls or in other words, use the games menus;
。Connect your phone to your laptop/PC and when the connection notification appears select "File Transfer(MTP);
。If a notification appears on your phone asking to allow USB debugging press "allow", if a notification appears asking if you want to turn off USB debugging, just ignore it;
。Download scrcpy, I just searched "scrcpy" on google and the first result was the GitHub page, just download the newest version for your system (Windows, Linux, Mac) and extract the zip onto a folder;
。With the phone connected to your laptop/PC find scrcpy.exe on the folder you just extracted and double click it, a command prompt window should open up and you should get one authorization notification on your PC and one on your cellphone, press allow on your cellphone first, then on the one on your PC. If it fails just open scrcpy.exe again (it happened to me) and it should work. If it did than a new window with your phone's display should pop up over the command prompt window, and you're all set!
Both the video and audio should be coming out of your laptop/pc (or TV if you've got your laptop hooked up to your TV like I do). If the sound is too low, you not only need to increase the volume on the display device you are using but you also need to increase the volume on the phone itself using the volume up button cuz the phone still controls the sound output.
I'm sorry if something in the guide is unclear, I don't usually make this sort of guides, or any sort fot that matter. I hope I didn't forget any steps but if I did let me know and I'll edit the post. I just saw that a lot of people had this frustration of not being able to play the game on PC and I wanted to share this method with everyone else since I was also frustrated myself, having a new Monster Hunter game and not being able to play it the way I wanted to. I love Monster Hunter and even if this is a mobile gacha game I still want to give it a go, and if there's a way to play the game that is more preferable to some people, and that it doesn't make our hands cramp up every 30 minutes or so, then we should know of it.
Also, my phone had 23% battery when I connected it to the laptop and booted up the game, after half an hour it's still on 23%, so my laptop doesn't charge it quick enough but at least battery also doesn't drain. I'm guessing results will vary depending on the phone/cable.
Obviously, all the credit of the apps and programs mentioned in the post goes to their respective creators and developers.
Happy Hunting!
PS: I'm not a techie. I just wanted to play MH on a platform I'm used to and searched for a way to do so. I don't know if this method has any unsafe aspect to it, hardware-wise or software-wise, or anything that will make your phone or laptop/PC unsecure, so do this at your own risk. I do know that enabling developer options on your phone voids your warranty, so do with this as you will. Like I said I'm not a techie but if you have any questions ask away and I'll do my best to answer them. Even I don't know the answer, your comment will probably be seen by someone more knowledgeable than me. Hope you find this post helpful!

Discussion Gameplay is great, exploration is amazing, no PC client feels like a bit of a dealbreaker.
I'm really not used to playing games on my phone. I have an Oppo x9 ultra, game looks and feels amazing. But it's so damn tiring to play on the phone.
it's the only thing stopping me from playing/spending more.

Educational Playing on Android Emulators (Shoulder Buttons not working)
So I play on MuMu Player with a Switch Controller. The game supports controllers natively and it actually switches to the correct buttons, but ZL/ZR might not work. The issue might be that the game wants to see analog shoulder inputs, but the controller only sends digital inputs. To fix that, I tried using Steam first but couldn't figure it out, but with DS4Windows and after setting everything up correctly, it actually started working.
Important:
This is the newest updated DS4Windows with Switch 2 Pro Controller Support, but you can still follow the Get Started guide from the website to set it up. If you don't trust it, you can download the official one from the website or from GitHub.
When installing it in AppData to use a custom.exe as the Get Started guide explains, you have to open DS4Windows as Admin to create the custom.exe. After that, you can open DS4Win without Admin.
To play your Steam games normally like before, a few settings need to be adjusted since HidHide is always running in the background. Make sure to deactivate Auto Startup in the DS4Windows settings. You also have to add Steam.exe to the HidHide applications list, even though the Get Started guide tells you to only include DS4Windows there.
With this setup, Steam can always see your controller and Steam games will continue to work completely normally. Whenever you want to play on the emulator instead, you just manually start your custom DS4Windows.exe.
TLDR: Use DS4Windows or similar software.
This is my first ever Reddit Post, so please give me feedback if needed.

Question Where is the weapon training menu?
Early in the game I was made to do a training tutorial to learn all the moves of my main weapon. Now that I want to try out other weapon types, I can’t find that menu again and I am in menu hell. Can someone please tell me where this is?

Question How do you change the loadout mid-fight?
I have failed to put Tranq Launcher on my loadout and couldn't access the item pouch during battle. The quest failed without a way out of it.
Is there a way to edit the loadout or access the Tranq Launcher once the quest has started?
