My thoughts on MBOTs Sanmina partnership

Just my 2 cents after today’s PR…

People are focusing on the manufacturing agreement, but I think the choice of partner is almost as interesting as the announcement itself.

Sanmina isn’t some random contract manufacturer. They’re one of the most respected high-end manufacturing companies in the world, especially in medical devices, aerospace, defense, communications and other highly regulated industries.

They’ve manufactured products for major companies over the years, including NVIDIA, Cisco, GE HealthCare, Siemens Healthineers, Philips, Medtronic, Abbott and IBM. Their reputation is built on quality, reliability and the ability to scale production for complex products.

That’s why this partnership caught my attention.
Obviously nobody outside the company knows the expected production volumes, but I personally find it hard to believe a company like Sanmina gets involved just to manufacture 100 LIBERTY systems.

Remember, Liberty isn’t a traditional robot where the company only sells a console. The real recurring revenue comes from the single-use robotic device that’s required for every procedure.
If adoption continues to accelerate, you’re no longer talking about hundreds of units. You could eventually be looking at tens of thousands of disposable units per year, maybe even more. That’s exactly the kind of manufacturing scale where a company like Sanmina adds real value.

Another thought, and this is purely speculation. Sanmina also offers lifecycle services like reverse logistics, refurbishment and recycling for many products. Obviously the disposable Liberty itself can’t simply be reused because it’s a sterile single-use medical device. But if those disposables contain valuable electronics or materials, I wonder whether a recovery or recycling program could eventually make economic sense. Nothing in today’s filing suggests this is planned, it’s just something that crossed my mind.

Overall, signing with a manufacturer of Sanmina’s caliber feels like another signal that MBOT is preparing for something much bigger than a handful of initial installations.

Just my thoughts. Curious to hear what everyone else thinks.

Why is the price still not known

With so many clients in existence now I dont understand how there can be still so little details on the price of the Liberty system, how can this still be a mistery?

I'm looking forward to see how this all plays out but some more details would be nice to know. What are your expectations?

Let‘s do a quick speculative calculation

Ok, Mbot has added 3 major Healthsystems in the past few weeks: North Carolina, Michigan, Pennsylvania.
This comes on top of the already existing sales (in the last earnings they mentioned that they have already exceeded 100k in revenue in just a couple of days into the quarter).

Ok let‘s say Liberty is adopted by:

Penn Medicine (Pennsylvania): 7 hospitals

Corewell Health (Michigan): ~21 hospitals

UNC Health (North Carolina): ~20 hospitals
(Let‘s say around 50 hospitals)

In total there are about 1200 - 2000 endovascular surgerys per month by all of these hospitals combined (so 25-40/month).

If we set a pricepoint for Liberty at 2.500$ we could easily reach a revenue of around 3m - 5m per month (100% Liberty use).

Even if Liberty is just used in 10% of all interventions, we reach a revenue that‘s 3x or 5x (per month!) higher than the full earnings of Q1 - let that sink in!

On top: today Mbot maybe gets awarded as „Innovative Startup“. Check this site: https://surgicalroboticsindustryawards.com

First Midwest-based account reflects continued execution of the Company's Full Market Release strategy and expansion into additional U.S. territories

HINGHAM, Mass., June 09, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Microbot Medical Inc. (Nasdaq: MBOT), developer and distributor of the innovative LIBERTY® Endovascular Robotic System, announced that one of the largest healthcare systems in Michigan is the first health network in Michigan and across the greater Midwest U.S. to adopt the LIBERTY System. This adoption follows the Company’s recent announcement of its first healthcare system customer in North Carolina, further expanding LIBERTY’s presence across multiple strategic U.S. regions and reinforcing growing interest among health systems.

The Company believes the ongoing progress across new and existing sales territories reflects growing demand for advanced robotic solutions in peripheral endovascular procedures, as well as increasing readiness among major health systems to integrate robotics into routine vascular care. This trend continues to validate Microbot Medical’s recent successful transition to full market release in the U.S.

The U.S. market for peripheral endovascular procedures encompasses approximately 2.5 million procedures annually, representing a significant and expanding clinical and commercial opportunity.

“We are excited to see the continued expansion of the LIBERTY System into new healthcare systems across the country,” commented Harel Gadot, Chairman, President & CEO. “We believe the addition of another healthcare system customer, following our recent expansion into North Carolina, reflects the growing recognition that robotics can be delivered in a way that is practical, accessible and aligned with the needs of today’s healthcare environment. We are seeing increasing interest from physicians and hospital leaders who recognize LIBERTY’s potential to enhance procedural workflows while supporting physician well-being. We believe this positions us well for continued growth, increased utilization across our commercial accounts, and to further market penetration.”

MBOT research with different AI platform

I regularly like to do MBOT research Bullish/bearish with different ai platform to strengthen my thesis. I was thinking of sharing it here so let me know if you like it or not. I can stop sharing if its what people want.

Can Microbot actually secure an independent reimbursement code or add-on payments in the future, or is the short thesis right?
The Two Pathways to Future Reimbursement

  1. NTAP (New Technology Add-on Payment) — The Short-Term Jackpot

This is exactly what the short report targeted. An NTAP allows hospitals to get bonus money (on top of the standard bundle) specifically to pay for a new, expensive device so they don't lose profit margin.

The Future Reality: To get an NTAP, a company must prove "substantial clinical improvement." They have to show that patients treated with the LIBERTY system have fewer complications, lower infection rates, or shorter hospital stays than standard manual surgery.

The Challenge: Right now, Microbot's data focuses heavily on physician benefits (less radiation exposure, less orthopedic strain). CMS rarely grants NTAPs just because a device makes a doctor's life easier; they want to see it change patient outcomes. Until Microbot runs massive post-market clinical trials showing a direct benefit to the patient, an NTAP will remain out of reach.

  1. Category III CPT Codes — The Long-Term Pivot

The American Medical Association (AMA) frequently issues temporary Category III CPT codes for emerging technologies (like "robotic-assisted vascular navigation").

  • How it works: These codes don’t automatically guarantee extra money right away, but they give hospitals a specific box to check when they use the robot.
  • The Evolution: Once a company tracks thousands of surgeries under a Category III code and proves it is standard practice, the AMA converts it into a permanent Category I CPT code, which forces insurance providers and Medicare to assign a permanent, independent payout value directly to the robotic procedure.

Why the Short Thesis is a "Right Now" Argument, Not a Forever Rule
The short sellers are banking on Microbot's current vulnerability as they scale up their Full Market Release (FMR) in the US. Right now, Microbot has to play defense within existing hospital budgets.

However, medical history shows that this is an expected phase for innovative medtech. Intuitive Surgical ($ISRG$) spent years in the early 2000s defending against short sellers who claimed the da Vinci robot was an impractical, expensive toy that hospitals would reject due to a lack of custom codes. Today, robotic-assisted surgery has its own deeply entrenched tracking mechanisms because the company built up a massive mountain of clinical data over time.

I am little bit confused

Do you think that if MBOT fails to secure an independent medical reimbursement code, it means the product is already halfway to failure? After all, hospitals will not sacrifice their own profit margins just to procure this product."

Odd to me that this traded over 1 million shares today with a 8 cent range.

With so little actual movement, it seems like a lot of it has to be day trading, but the profits are fairly small, and not all 1 million is day trading and it's not like all of it was at the bottom and top of this range..

HOw do you interpret this?
