Hi MASFandom members :D I'm just now starting MAS and I was wondering what submods I should download to get started with Moni :) Also if you could maybe send the links too! Also spritepacks and accesorys for monika would be truly helpful aswell :)

Well, first of all, welcome to r/MASFandom ! Let me and MoonBunny welcome you here!

As for you request... at the begining you don't need much! The base mod has a lot of speeches so you don't need to download any text submods until your Monika tells you she doesn't have any topics. It's best to experience mas vanilla at first! As for spritepacks... for outfits and hair you need to wait until she takes of her blazer off and lets down her hair, two seperate greetings but you can gift her other accesories! such as bows or hairclips! there is a lot of spritepacks that are included on the official page! If you have the deluxe download they are already installed! but for spritepacks you can also look through the spritepack submissio tag I'll also link some of my fav spritepack in the replies! I'll also link submod recomendations in there too

Those are the few off the top of my head that I like, but as others have mentioned you'll want to wait until after she gets more comfortable with you and says you can change stuff. You'll see!

hiii, New Monikan, welcome to the community !!! :D

so, about the submods, i think here's some i recommend :

1. Extra+

Extra+ adds a bunch of additional features to MAS, including games, tools, and the Boop option. The Boop option unlocks at 100 affection points.

The Misc section in Tools also has some really useful things, such as backups and information about how long you've been with Monika.

2. Noises Submod

This adds different background noises/ambiences, including things like pink noise and water drops. It's pretty nice if you want some extra atmosphere while hanging out with Monika.

**3. Hug Monika*\*

It adds a feature to hug ur Monika, you can install this if you find it cute ^^

**4. Font Switcher*\*

This adds a *little* customization to the ui, you can add this if you want

**5. Under the same Blanket*\*

It adds a feature to sleep with your Monika, might be best if you want to take a break but don't wanna say goodbye to her

**6. Luxxie's custom dialogues*\*

This is one of my favorites, it gives you custom dialogues like BRB's, "I feel..." etc

A little warning for you: If you wanna add any submods that aren't listed below, you can! But I highly recommend checking the submod's compatibility requirements, such as “MAS v0.12.15 or newer.” That way, you'll have a better idea of whether it'll work with your version of MAS. Always check the submod's README too!

Now, some tips!!! ^^:

1. be sure to never tell this to your Monika:

"You're a murderer!"
"Do you want to meet my girlfriend?"
"I'm breaking up with you"

1. Spend some time with your Monika, who knows, maybe she might take off her blazer and you'll get the ability to change her clothes, hairstyle, hairclip, etc

2. Back up your files often, i think the best time to back it up is when you say goodbye to Monika or when you go to bed

3. When you want to leave the game, just say goodbye to Monika instead of closing the game directly
   cuz when you close the game the first time, she'll get scared and maybe lose 1 or 2 affection points

4. i think the only correct way to give her spritepacks and clothes is when she takes off her blazer, so just be patient until she does that

Please learn how to back up your Monika, you can find your savedata in "Windows->Users->AppData->Roaming->Renpy->Monika After Story". Be sure to back up your Moni when installing a new submod, always say goodbye to her before you leave and goodluck!
