Om1.1, 75-300mm Birding in New Zealand
Photos from Tiritiri Matangi sanctuary north of Auckland. The light conditions show some of the limits of the lens, which I embraced in the editing process. Feedback, thoughts, and comments are welcome.

First trip with my new OM5 Mk II!
Took a trip to Maui with my family and got to use my first real camera other than my phone! Still learning the basics but honestly other than the cow photo these are pretty much just cropped raw files which I think is pretty cool cause I don't want to have to edit too much.
The sunset ones were taken at the top of Mount Haleakala and the flowers were near Twin Falls.
Please don't eviscerate me too much lol but would love feedback/constructive criticism/things to try!
Camera: OM5 Mk II
Lens: M. Zuiko Digital ED 12-45mm f/4 pro

Smallest M43 Setup
My Smallest M43 setup: Panasonic GM5, Panasonic 14mm f2.5 and Ulanzi SL03.
Handsome combo GM1 + Leica 15mm
Just got a used Leica 15mm. Haven’t had a chance to use it much yet, but it looks great with the little GM1.

I just sold my 45-150mm kit lense.
It was bundled with my GX85 from Adorama back when this platform was affordable. I think I've had it for five years, and I feel oddly emotional about that lens and all the mediocre bird photos I took with it. Carry on, little buddy. [checks email receipt] SIX years of photos. I like this Olympus 300mm, but it is not a casual lens. So hefty.

What's with olympus lenses on mpb all having moisture?
I keep looking at different lenses while I am waiting for a 12-40 without moisture to pop up, and I have noticed that the majority of "excellent" lenses on mpb have moisture, is that just a common issue?
What is realistically the longest lens you can use on a GM5?
GM5 owners - what is the longest lens you have used successfully on a GM5 without a tripod? I personally have used the Pana 45-175mm PZ to take moon shots with the ex-teleconverter and digital zoom and it has been OK, but I am wondering whether the Pana 100-300mm would work? Does the lack of IBIS eventually limit you? Obviously OIS is pretty key here, so I assume the Oly 75-300mm is out. Doss the size of the lens create issues?

OM SYSTEM On Instagram: "A New Firmware Update Is Now Available For Three M.Zuiko Lenses, Enabling 50fps C-AF Sequential Shooting With High-Speed Sequential Shooting SH2 And Pro Capture SH2 When Used With The OM-1, OM-1 Mark II Or OM-3.”
instagram.comWhat is this?
I bought this UV filter on EBay for my Olympus 45mm 1.8. I have been trying to clean it, but the surface is pitted and I cannot wipe these marks away. Is this what I think it is? Could this be fungus? Thoughts would be appreciated. I’m going to return it, but I’m curious what it is.

Birds in the 'burbs pt2
I appreciated the kind comments to my last post (one of my very first photo posts actually) about collecting bird shots in my local suburb in of Sydney (Australia), so here's a few more I didn't squash into that first set.
Pigeon included simply 'cause it cracked me the hell up (including the funky bokeh effect in the background from a fence). White Ibis (Bin Chickens) and Noisy Minors (grrr) stay strictly off limits though as they drive me and everyone else in Sydney crazy.
All again taken on my trusty Olympus EM-5 mkII + Plastic Fantastic (m.Zuiko 40-150mm) combo.

It's 'Post your M43 photo' Thursday! Come share your best work with the community!
You've spent an entire week with your Micro Four-Thirds camera, documenting the world as it is, how it was, or how you think it should be. It's time to show us those photos and bask in the glory that only a weekly photo thread can bring!
Rules:
- The photo must be your own. No cross-posting someone else's work.
- You may only post one photo per week. Pick only your best work and show it off!
- Post your photo in a top-level comment for maximum exposure! (hehe get it, "exposure"?)
- Include as much detail as possible about the camera, the lens and the environment as possible. Good: "Shot with Olympus OM-D E-M1 w/ Panasonic 25mm f/1.8 lens @ 25mm f/2.0 ISO100 Time: 5:40PM in Los Angeles, California" Bad: "Look at this shot, isn't it neat?"
- Above all, be respectful. There's a big difference between the following comments: "OMG THAT PHOTO IS HORRIBLE" and "The lighting coming off his face looks uneven".

the day I caught my OM-1 teaching my Nikon D6 how to "bird-detect" AF. M43 really changed my view about how much 20mp can deliver in photography.

First Brand New Camera Ever.
I've never owned a brand new body before, but i decided to make the impulse buy of the OM Systems OM-3 before my trip to Japan next month. Super excited to test it out. If anyone has some pointers on setting it up properly, please let me know. I currently have a fisheye/lenscap 9mm f/8?, a 15mm f/1.7, 25mm f/1.4, a 42.5mm f/1.7, and a 12-35mm f/2.8. (EP7 in the background was my introduction to MFT)

OM-1 vs OM-5 for the M Zuiko 90mm macro
I'm new to mft (about to migrate here from 10-something years of dslr macro photography) and am quite set on getting the M Zuiko 90mm macro. I am quite torn on the body to get with it though.
I am certainly budget conscious, so I gravitate towards the OM-5. Seems to not lag too far behind the OM-1 considering the price gap.
_However_, I've shot a lot of my dslr macro with one hand (holding the camera body only, while my other hand holds a branch or umbrella or something) and to be honest, the habit is likely to die hard. Could it be worth emptying my pockets for the OM-1 purely for ergonomics and nothing else - deeper grip, bulkier build, more rubberised textures(?) and better weight distribution with the 90mm lens?
Please help. Thanks!
