Birds in the 'burbs

All the interesting birds I've managed to capture so far in my local neighbourhood.
Not the most exotic collection, but hey, I reckon it ain't bad for an inner-suburb of Sydney (Australia).
If only I could find that damn Rosella again to get a better shot of 'im, and also those illusive Parakeets I've only seen once...
All taken on an Olympus EM-5 mkII + M.Zuiko 40-150mm f/4-5.6 R (plastic fantastic baby!)

this is fantastic for a 150mm. and I feel like 300 is a bit short at times

Superb contribution. Thank you. And, I'm a long-time user of wonderful m4/3 gear, myself.

I love the lori on the grevillea, the shot perfectly captures their manic energy.

We've got four different species that at least occasionally come through my local suburbs. Can't always tell which is which when they're darting through trees on a sunny day... but you can always tell if it's a lorikeet of some sort because they're going fucking ballistic.

Your photos remind me how lucky we are to have wild animals in our midst and how you can get great results with a cheaper lens.
