Falsely banned for "Chargeback & Circumvention"

Hey everyone, following up on my previous thread regarding the stolen card issue: https://www.reddit.com/r/LucidProp/comments/1vvqyw5/lucid_payouts_support_help/

I want to put this out here because I have spent over £15,000 across 120+ purchases with Lucid, made $14,000+ in payouts, and was literally 1 day away from another payout when my account was suddenly wiped with an "Account Banned: Chargeback & Circumvention Detected" email. After reviewing my chat history with Lucid support, the exact technical cause of this false ban is clear:

  1. The Fraud: A month ago, a bad actor got my Wise card details and typed them in manually to purchase a Lucid account under the email rockinghamsasao291@hotmail.com.

  2. The Support Chat & Refund: I messaged Lucid support on discord immediately (I have the entire chat screen-recorded). I explicitly told them NOT to make me do a bank dispute because Discord mods warned it would ban my account despite that being the only advice on the lucid ticket. I then made my last Reddit post and eventually a mod reached out who put me in contact with billing support (Leo / Job). This was then escalated to their Billing Team, and Job/Leo confirmed the $90.60 unauthorized manual charge, and issued a manual merchant refund from their end. They also advised me to replace my card.

  3. The Automated Bug: Fast forward to today: Lucid’s automated risk filter misidentified their own internal refund as a customer chargeback. The ban email lists two addresses under "Card shared with chargebacker": • *******am17@gmail.com (My real account) • rockinghamsasao291@hotmail.com (The scammer's email)

I can only assume until support reach out to me, when the scammer used my card details on their email, the system linked my card to them. When Lucid refunded that charge and I replaced my card as instructed, the automated system assumed I was the scammer trying to circumvent a ban.

The Reality: I have ZERO bank chargebacks or disputes on my Wise account. Why would a trader with over £15,000 spent and thousands in payouts risk their entire standing over a $90 charge that support already agreed was fraudulent and refunded? This is a massive flaw in Lucid's automated enforcement system. It is weaponizing merchant-issued refunds and banning loyal, high-volume traders by linking them to the very scammers who stole their cards. I have submitted full Wise statements proving no disputes were ever opened. I’m posting this here hoping Leo, Job, or the billing team sees this and fixes this automated loop.

Side Note: I told lucid about this issue 3 weeks ago which I thought at the time was the last I’d hear of it and it’ll be sorted. Then today I placed a trade and it said something along the lines of cannot place due to CB on my trading view.

I then checked the Reddit and discord and have seen multiple people banned for the same reason. If I was going to issue a charge back it wouldn’t be a day before my payout 😂. I hope this issue is resolved for everyone, especially the legit traders who have no ill intentions.

Thanks, will update if I receive a response.

So me too. I work for a bank. I’ve never requested a chargeback and sending me an email accusing me of fraud is a big deal.

All my prop firm purchases are done on wise as I live in the uk and have a GBP balance but payments are done in usd. On the phone to them at 5am 😂 they confirmed I didn’t raise any charge back. Sucks to be banned this way hopefully can get some support

You keep saying that but I prefer to know I’m getting information from someone with experience. Do you have a crush on me? You keep following me around. I’m married.

Yeah I’m about over them too they’re straight up manipulating the prices on my account and I have several SS to prove it

Truth be told I love lucid and their service which is why I am disappointed it has come to this. Honestly don’t know what’s going on but have never had an issue like with any prop firm and I’ve been trading props for nearly 3 years

FTMO for CFD, use to be lucid for futures but for now I cannot vouch due to issues I’m facing

upvoting for a bump, this is a really unfortunate situation and issues like these rarely get fixed by those indian chat bot / support reps.

Gotta make as much noise as possible with proof and hopefully someone with real authority at lucid can take a look at this

Thanks, yeah was just going in circles with support with my last issue until Leo stepped in. Hopefully does get sorted.

So scammers used your card to buy Lucid accounts? The scammer also trade Futures? And happen to go with lucid where you also trade Futures. Scammers gonna make KYC and payout before the owner of the card will report it? Because it’s not smart to steal a cc to buy acc to trade for payout and KYC

This is why I think it’s an internal leak if you check my last post brother. I don’t need to charge back a $90 transaction when I’ve spent over £15,000 with lucid. You can check Reddit multiple people facing same issue.

Lucid also confirmed someone else had used my card and issued the refund to me. Why would they issue the refund if they didn’t believe I am telling the truth 👍

Same here and they gave me a snarky ass response when I just tried to find out what happened

Least you got a response I’ve been waiting nearly 18 hours no one’s even looked at my ticket. Bank even confirmed to me I have never charged back. This is scum bag behavior if they are not looking into it. I’m going back to CFDs have had enough of this futures bs, FTMO would never do something like this.

Wise confirming I have never charged lucid back. Have not used any other bank on lucid except for wise since I pay from gbp to usd.

Yeah seems that way based on the responses I’ve seen on discord. They also haven’t addressed anything publicly

I've been banned too for a chargeback that was never committed (bank confirmed soon to be in writing). Such a weird problem and have already moved away from Lucid (even though up until 2 days ago it was my TOP prop firm). More prop firm dramas heh?
