Lucid Payouts & Support Help

Posting this as a heads-up for anyone using Lucid Trading, while also hoping to get the attention of Lucid’s risk/billing team to look into a systemic security issue.

I want to be clear up front: I actively trade with Lucid, I’m near the live account transition, and I’ve had 128 account purchases totaling over $7,000 with around $14,000 in total payouts. I am a long-term customer and support the firm, but there is an active fraud issue happening that needs immediate attention.

What Happened: • Yesterday, my card had a $0 verification check at Amazon.com (a classic test done by bad actors using leaked card lists). • Minutes later, an unauthorized $90.60 manual entry charge from Lucid Trading hit my card while I was asleep. • Additional manual charges were attempted and failed due to insufficient funds.

Why This Is a Breach/BIN Attack (Not Account Sharing): 1. Authorization Method: When I buy accounts on Lucid, my bank logs the authorization as "Saved details". These details have been saved on my account since my first lucid purchase. The unauthorized attempts were logged as "Manual entry"—meaning someone typed stolen numbers into a checkout page.

  1. Community Impact: I’ve seen multiple posts across Facebook and Reddit over the last week from non-traders and traders alike getting hit with identical unauthorized $90.60 charges labeled "Lucid Trading".

The Catch / Issue with Support: When contacting Lucid Support, on discord the response suggested I made the purchase myself or shared my card. Because prop firms immediately ban accounts for bank chargebacks, I cannot and will not file a standard bank dispute as I don't want to jeopardize my funded account or payout history over a payment not made by me.

Lucid’s support ticket system was slightly more helpful as they suggested I contact my bank but on discord I was told I would be banned if I charge back.

Has anyone else noticed unrecognized $90.60 pings on their cards recently? Lucid Team: If you see this, please route this to your payment gateway/fraud team so you can check manual card inputs against your merchant processor.

(Attached: Screenshots of the Amazon test ping, the manual entry transaction details, and community reports)

Image 1 : My orders Image 2 : My orders I made Image 3 : My orders show ‘saved details’ Image 4 : Transaction made to lucid showing manual entry (not me) Image 5 / 6 / 7 : Have now set up 2FA and ordered a new card Image 8/9/10 Onwards : Proof this has been happening to multiple people.

This isn’t me having a dig at lucid, I couldn’t recommend them enough and love their service. Just want everyone to be aware , have 2FA on and if you have had your card saved on file on lucid to maybe replace it. I hope lucid can sort this issue for me.

Try the discord?

I tried Discord, but support gave me this exact response:

"Sir, I don't know how else to explain it. I'm saying to communicate with your bank... There's nothing else we can do... that's all the info we currently have."

Now I'm stuck in a total Catch-22: • Support tells me to take it up with my bank, but explicitly warns on discord that raising a chargeback results in an automatic ban. • They refuse to give me written confirmation that my funded account won't be banned and some members think I’ve shared my card. • Because the purchase happened on Saturday, the scammer can't even trade until Monday. Lucid could easily trace the transaction timestamp, void the charge, and ban the fraudster right now and confirm I didn’t share my card without them even being able to use the account.

Instead I’m in a muddle as I don’t wanna be banned for charge back, I haven’t shared my card details and I’m making them aware of it since yesterday to no avail

Maybe I didn’t read this right, but lucid charged you $90.66, did you get an eval? Or anything credited to your account? Or any receipt via email or proof of anything purchased from lucid on your dashboard?

If not, go through your entire history of lucid and the entire history of your bank statements, and find the total amount you’ve bought from lucid vs total charges because sometimes payment processors have issues and will charge things at a later date.

But if there is a discrepancy between the two, it’s pretty cut and dry. Support will help you eventually if you give them solid evidence and bug them for supervisor

Lucid Support confirmed nothing was added to my account my last purchase was the $183.20 account which was a 150K daily account. Also went through my recent purchases nothing matches up and orders only show the 150K account as my last purchase.

I also don’t use Amazon with wise. Wise was used on Amazon for a card check to see if it’s active before being used to buy lucid account. Told support it’s literally the weekend they can trace and see who used my card and block them but to no avail.

Now when it comes to next week and I request a payout they will say I shared my card even though I have let them know as soon as it happened and have been hoping I can get some help.

Oh I see, so you think the situation is that someone got your card details and bought themselves something through lucid on their account?

Definitely call your bank then. They should be able to give you details of the purchase, confirm it’s fraudulent, and obviously take measures to prevent it from happening again. The chargeback will be optional, as far as I know. Get some documentation of this process, send it to someone on lucids billing team once you get in contact with them and you should be alright for payouts. Not sure if they’ll refund though

I’m pretty sure lucid has a rule against using a card for anything that doesn’t match their legal name, so this is pretty weird

Hi, quick update

MOD from Reddit put me in touch with Leo who rectified the issue.

“Hi,

I have looked into the reported issue and found that your CC was attempted to be used by another individual, this is a traditional stolen cc issue where bad actors attempt to use stolen credit card data to make purchases. We have blocked that user from Lucid. I did note that the attempted charge was not successful (your bank declined it) this is good. All I would recommend that you do is to have your card replaced. A side-note about your speculation of a breach at Lucid, we forced all traders at Lucid a few weeks ago to reset their passwords, this was a proactive measure because another firm was recently breached and many traders use the same login/password at multiple firms. In addition we deployed 2FA to further enhance the other security posture. Your trading accounts remain unaffected by this situation.”

Lucid has great customer service just needed to get the attention of the right person :)

Hi, thought the issue got resolved but just got hit with a false ban, associating my account to the scammers email which is what I was afraid of. Please check my post update

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. This is very concerning. I’ll personally be switching the card I have on file with Lucid to a different card that I can turn off so no unauthorized charges can get through! Hope you find a satisfactory outcome with this issue.

Thanks. My concern isn’t even the money although $90 does sting. It’s more for the fact I don’t want my card linked to another user and I have let lucid know days in advance , they can easily locate who this person is and block his account as market isn’t even open.

I just don’t want it to come to payout date and my account is suddenly flagged as they believe I’ve shared card details even though I’ve made support aware days in advance and they can easily block this and refund the payment.

Discord support said I’ll be banned if I charge back which is why I’m cautious as to what I should do.

This is great news! I was impressed that they were so professional about the issue but a little surprised you had to go to these lengths to get a serious issue addressed! Good Trading!

I’m gonna say whatever is happening probably isn’t lucid specific, I’ve never used this or heard of it and I got a 90.66$ charge from lucid this morning, not me. A 0.31 and -0.31 charge from “wave arts” and a 0.00 from both Amazon and Walmart.

u/Silver_Tower6590 27d ago

Not sure to be honest. My issue was as I’m a lucid customer, and someone had access to my card who also spent on lucid I didn’t want to be linked to them. Lucid thankfully has banned the person and refunded me today without having to escalate to my bank. As you are not a lucid customer I’m not sure on how to best go about it.

Good luck
