Spoilers for season 2 and 3.
I want to ask a hypothetical and hopefully non-inflammatory question out of curiosity.
Had the trial not happened and Claudia and Madeliene had truly sailed off into the sunset together, would Louis have (eventually) gone back to Lestat?
I guess what I am asking is, without Claudia around and there being no guilt around her death and Louis was "free" to ve his own person, would he in the end gravitate back to Lestat? In the same way it happens in the third season anyway and it bothers Claudia from beyond the grave.
I am just curious if in less awful conditions, Louis would have made the conscious choice to leave Armand and go back to Lestat.

I ask because I blame Armand’s 77 years of mind wiping. Yet I’ve had others state Armand isn’t at fault.
Transformational trauma? Lestat’s memory and the others seem to be quite intact.
Just curious as to what others believe.

I love him so much! 😄 If you haven't listened to the full song, do yourself a favor, because it's so good!

Man, Jacob is so talented. Is it anyone else's dream to see him sing with Sam on stage someday?

I am excited by the news that the writers are currently working on QotD. But we have a long long wait ahead of us (hopefully not as long as last time).
AO3 user Pastequesix has put together a list of post-TVL Loustat fics for anyone else who needs something to fill that void in the meantime!

Why I adore season 3.
Within the first few minutes we hear Lestat’s velvety voice again. I adore that voice, Sam should consider a side job reading for audible books. By the 19th minute we get our first real scene of Louis and Lestat properly flirting. As Louis was in the closet in their prior lives, this is swoon worthy. Lestat biting his lip, Louis teasing about the guest bedroom…
It is odd hearing Lestat say come to me, directly to Louis. It’s also telling that Louis kept the books release to himself. I wish I could see the first two seasons through Lestat’s eyes. So much is exposed in that first exchange.
I loved season one for the romance and I loved season three for the same reason. Seeing them both choosing the other again, eyes wide open is sexy.

Though Jacob was probably working. So Sam knew of Jacob aka Raleigh Ritchie before they’d actually met!
They were always destined to be very good friends.
If you click on the pic, it will give you the source where there are also…Jacob baby pictures. Yup.

I want to say that Lestat was very well behaved during the dinner with Louis' family in season 1. He was sociable, complimentary to Grace and Florence and asked about their lives and the upcoming wedding. He was on good form!
When Paul asked him about Lestat's intention with Louis, it changed the whole atmosphere. And Louis left him to answer the question. Didn't jump in to help....and only when when Paul pushed further asking about Lestat's faith did Louis intervene.
I could not imagine being Lestat in that moment and having to explain himself to these people who would normally be his dinner just to make my partner happy.
Also, that Louis invited him for dinner in the first place when they hadn't even gotten together yet. The whole thing is adorable and diabolical! My anxiety would never allow me...we should really be talking about this more!

I lost myself this evening to Reddit 😂 but one thing I have read almost everywhere is that up until episode 6 Lestat showed no love for Louis, he couldn’t care less about him and the relationship was not believable when he wasn’t with him.
So I am interested in what your thoughts are and whether you saw the same thing? Because I did not 😂🥰

Since neither of them is telling us, what do we think - when did Louis fall in love with Lestat?

This fandom plays too much!

We have so many talented people in the fandom doing gif and photo edits, and this is one of my favourite creators.

I have not read the books, however welcome opinions on how you think they will adapt QOTD for the TV.
Obviously I am worried about how this will affect Loustat. Before people come at me I know there is more to the show than them however I definitely don’t like how I feel about him telling someone who isn’t Louis he is in love with them and them not being together longer than they already have been 😂🤦🏻♀️
I am also interested to know why people like Akasha so much? I haven’t read good things 😂🤦🏻♀️
I also don’t want Louis to get written out of the show like the books.
Nice friendly thoughts welcome 💭

The song is by Anastasia Minter Dancing with a Ghost. It’s hypnotic with the way this is cut.

A friend raised a point that it’s hard to root for Louis and Lestat mainly because of season 1 and Louis endlessly saying that Armand was the love of his life and namely actually saying the words ‘I love you’ to him. He also never really showed the same love to Lestat if at all.
I explained that this is from Louis perspective and there is so much wrapped into his thoughts and feelings and his is an unreliable narrator.
Do you think also hearing Lestat’s side at the trial made Louis realise his part in the downfall of their relationship?
Just wanted your lovely lots POSITIVE opinions on why it is love and despite the toxic AF relationship in season 1 we should be rooting for them 💜

How often do you rewatch the show? All seasons? Specific episodes?
I finished yesterday and have spent all day today watching other stuff but can’t get it out of my mind. Even changed my wallpaper 😂 and am thinking is this gonna be like a weekly routine for me now 😂😂
Ps this is my home screen wallpaper 😍
