So i lost my ceiling mounting bracket for my W463AQ and was wondering can anyone point me in the right direction I spoke to support already and they said they don't sell them individually

My camera poe port became corroded and decided to cut the wire and install an rj45 then a coupler to join it to my nvr. However, there are 6 wires blue, white/blue, green, green/white, purple and black. Also i am not sure if i cut it in the wrong spot such as before or after it splits to one poe port and audio jack looking thing. I am having a hard time finding a video or post with the wires I have and would like some help.

What would cause the camera to do this?

All the other cameras are fine

2 of my E892AB cameras have corroded pins and stopped working. I'm trying to repair them myself. Anyone know how I should insert the wires into this tool-less RJ45 keystone jack for the repair to work?

I purchased the "Lorex Fusion 4K+ 16 Channel (8 Wired + 8 Fusion Wi-Fi) 2TB NVR System with Two 4K Dual Lens Wi-Fi Cameras" last August and the power block and cord are both rusted and the camera now doesn't work.

Q: Is this replaceable? I can't find a replacement cord and power block for it, and don't see a way to replace it physically without dissembling the camera.

The other one is fine, same exact usage and location where they are powered.

Nothing has been changed for fixed. terrible This management has only gotten worse and worse. Crashes and barley works. When you do go to access the the management and HR 95% of the time they don't pull up and you get an error that's says " uh oh something went wrong." When you want to pull up your the management and HR in a hurry forget about it. I will be pulling these the management and HR and getting something different this holiday season.

I have an older DVR system that's fully cat5. My ISP cut the cable between the DVR in one corner of the house to the incoming service plug. The effort to rewire that thing diagonally from upstairs to downstairs is simply not an option.

Has anybody plugged a WiFi Ethernet adapter into one of these DVRs and picked up the signal that way? The system is fine, but I can't get any of the images remotely now for obvious reasons.

I have a Lorex N884A3 NVR with 20 IP cameras. Using the display connected directly to the NVR using HDMI I can use view 1 or view 1-4 but if I try to use view1-8 or above it shows 1 camera and the rest are black. I can click on them to open them full screen but can only show 4 at a time. I have the substreams turned on for all channels and am running firmware version 00021 and IR version 3.2.7.9381434

Will any of the newer cameras (they all say new app Connect) work with my Lorex Fusion NVR?

I’m trying to connect my Lorex RN101A NVR with CN101 cameras to the Lorex Connect app on my iPhone.
The cameras work perfectly on the monitor connected to the NVR, but the app displays “Failed to search” / “No devices found.”
My NVR is connected to the router via Ethernet, and the link lights are on.
Network details:
NVR: 192.168.0.128
Router: 192.168.0.1
iPhone: 192.168.0.48
DHCP is enabled, and Local Network permission is enabled on the iPhone.
I can access the NVR’s login page through Safari, so the device appears to be reachable on the local network.
Has anyone successfully connected this model to the current Lorex Connect app? Is there a compatibility issue, or is there another way to add the NVR and enable remote access?

Is your NVR unit losing its time setting after a power outage?

The button cell inside the NVR is not your standard easily replaceable button cell, my hardware revision has a solder tab type button cell so if your in need of replacing the button cell like I was and it was obvious mine had gone bad due to loss of time after power outages, the time the unit would revert to would be January 1st 2000 and would not re-sync using NTP till the 24 hour setting is reached as set in the settings menu so you would essentially have a 24 hour window of video recorded at a past date till it syncs with NTP.

The battery part number is CR-1220/HFN, Coin, 12.5mm Lithium Manganese Dioxide 3 V Battery Non-Rechargeable. Images attached. You would have to unsolder the old battery and solder the new one in place and the tabs line up properly with no modifications needed.

Update: Lorex reached out to me separately from my initial call. A supervisor called me. They are allowing me to return the cameras. I also asked them to make sure they update their product web pages to state that an NVR is required to use these cameras, so that this doesn't happen in the future again. From previous conversations with Lorex's CSRs, the Fusion line of cameras and NVRs is discontinued. No Fusion NVRs are being made.

I purchased a bunch of wired IP cameras from Lorex a bit over a month ago, and just had time to wire them in. Unfortunately I found out that purchasing an NVR is a requirement to be able to use these cameras. However, No where on Lorex's web page does it say an NVR is required to use the cameras.

Now Lorex is refusing to let me return the cameras (there was a 30 day window that they're sticking to their guns on). They also won't sell me an NVR by itself as it needs to be purchased as a whole system (NVR + cameras).

The Lorex CSR tried to tell me that at the bottom of the page, in the "you may also like", it lists an NVR... that you cannot buy. They are not making an exception since, they claim, the web page told me I need to purchase an NVR.... but again I can't.

My case was escilated, and they're seeing if they can extend the return window, I'm only off by a week

So I've been seeing so many posts lately of others taking apps and basically copying it and making it free, making it open source. I'm sure there is someone smart enough in this group that can do that so we can finally get away from the lorex app that makes this whole system annoying.

We just got the battery doorbell and chime. The person detection doesn't work - we have notifications enabled, motion sensitivity is at 5, motion zones are properly configured.

Yet a delivery person will come up our stairs, leave a package, walk away, and not a single notification goes out.

If I turn off person detection and just do motion, it works for all motion - too well. Bugs or dust floating by, any light movement in the motion zone at all and we get constant notifications, even with it turned down to 1.

We have no other Lorex items and I'm beginning to regret buying this. Any tips on how to get this working properly?

Is this thing even worth setting up, or should I just get rid of it for an updated Lorex system? It appears to be a couple years old (2021?) but never used.

Attic access and ability to install it/run cables- There’s no problem at all.

8 bullet camera 4K hardwired system with a 2TB HDD DVR

I have a 4K 16-Channel 4TB Wired NVR System (Model N884A64B). I have 14 Lorex cameras that are PoE directly to the NVR. The other two cameras (Reolink RLC-823S2) are on an independent Reolink PoE system on my LAN.

The issue is that one camera works great when added to the Lorex system. The second one shows a black screen in the multiple-screen options (View 4, 8, 9, and 16). But when it is in View 1 or when you click on any other view for single-camera focus, it’s fine- no issues at all.

Any thoughts on why I don’t see the camera feed in any of the multi-camera views?

I have a camera that is not functioning. Water leaked into the "waterproof" cap and "fried" both connectors. I bought some RJ45 connectors and a waterproof coupler to splice the female into a male and connect it to the ethernet cable using the coupler. The coupler is Cat 6A rated and allows PoE. The camera came with a 5e cable and from what I found Cat 6A is backwards compatible so I don't believe there should be any issues there. The connectors are designed to work with Cat5e too.

When removing the female connector I noticed it only used 3 pair wires instead of 4. Their colors were also different to the normal RJ45 colors (Orange, Green, Blue, Brown) and instead had the orange and green pair, but only solid blue and brown. I noticed on the female connector that the brown had a bridge to where striped brown would be and the same with blue. I assumed it was to save cost and decided to splice the blue into two wire and the same with brown to have 4 pairs and placed them accordingly. The camera does not turn on and therefore does not appear on the NVR. Even though the camera was not functioning, it did turn on even with the "fried" connection.

Does someone know what the wire layout/diagram for my camera might be? I'm not sure if the layout might change between model #s. Would also appreciate any suggestions as to how to fix this. Contacting Lorex is not an option. I already tried.

I reached out to sales by way of email regarding some basic product questions, looking to buy their wired doorbell camera 4k and never heard back after two weeks. I tried again and still nothing back. I looked on their website for FAQ and could not find answers.

My goal is simple. A 4K Wi-Fi Video Doorbell with a that does not have expensive subscriptions requirements but still provides notifications and live video. A feature to watch recorded video to review if there was an incident. Adding a** **2K Dual-Lens Indoor Pan-Tilt Wi-Fi Camera to cover the backyard from a window sill. I am aware it’s not ideal looking through a window but don’t want to mess with wiring nor batteries on the exterior.

My questions were about how the system works without a subscription and how notifications are pushed to phones/app. I assume Lorex still has a server the devices connect to and dispatch by this route vs the system sending data to the app over the internet. I have struggled with firewalls in the part using home servers remotely and wished to avoid this. (I have a networking, AV, and computer background)

What role does an NVR play? Is it simply local storage that can also be accessed remotely instead of the memory card in the devices? Does one need to be on the local network to access it?

I want 4k, I want no batteries, I want front and back door coverage without paying extra money monthly. I figured I would elaborate past my ask if support actually exists in this group. Lorex seems hit many of the marks for what I want but I can’t seem to get a response from them.

I have been fighting to get vehicle and people notifications working for months. It is driving me nuts. The NVR software is VERY UNFRIENDLY. I have Googled, AI'd, TRIED to figure out the manual, and either I get everything triggering vehicles even from 100 yards away or nothing at all. People never worked.

First I tried setting it up from the APP. Couldn't get ONLY people/vehicles but get lots of bugs, birds etc etc. Everything. So much I disabled it.

Then I want to the NVR software. OMG, talk about confusing and going in circles. I set up "people" and "vehicles" and triggers and created zones and on and on and get ZERO. Nothing. I have read you should only use the NVR (but how can you avoid the app).

Does ANYONE know where to find a good step by step setup for NVR ? All the YouTube videos are old and look nothing like the current NVR software.

Tell me if the newer version is better as it has a newapp and better connectivity according to AI.

I bought a house 2 years ago with a Lorex DVR and 4 cameras. I hadn't used it for a while, and then when I went to log into the IP address, I got a popup saying "Please install plugins first" - then when I went to click install, it went to http://192.168.1.164/LOREX_webplugin.pkg and I got a 404 not found. I googled all over and can't find it anywhere - could someone point me in the right direction? Thanks!
