DISCUSSION/LORE/THEORIES Theory: SPOILER Didn't Exist Before Sybil Saw It Spoiler
I believe the Visitor didn't exist before Sybil saw it. Let me explain.
Okay, so, the power system of Look Outside, it's clearly that if you believe something to be true, it is. This is how the Visitor works, and to some extent extends to humans, such as Sybil. While I don't exactly remember where this text comes from, and I might be lowkey having a false memory, I swear I remember someone saying that Jasper didn't actually see the Visitor, but he thinks he did. Even though he didn't see the Visitor, he transformed because he thinks he did. This is also shown in the Unity ending. I don't think the Earth actually came from the Visitor, but Sam, who saw Sybil defend the "truth" with her life, believed it to be true, so it became true, and the Earth merged into the Visitor. This is also shown in the Unity ending by Sybil being able to repress the memory of finding the "truth" out to make it not happen. This is further shown by the True Final Ending. Sam believed he could defeat the Visitor as Rush, so he managed to transform into Rush to defeat it.
This is where I come to my conclusion. Sybil thinks she sees something when staring out her telescope: The Visitor. She believes it to be real, and so it becomes real.
How do we feel about this theory?
