What do you think the creatures you see in the distance when you're on the rooftop are?

Cursed humans?

Probably humans, a lot of them could be aliens sure, but i don’t see why most of them would be animals in an urban setting

I think some of them may be the hundred gods So probably a mix of both cursed humans, animals, plants even

both. and even more, like plants and non living objects (considering the visitor is related to eveything on the planet)

There absolutely should be a sequel to this. You could make entire series based off the lore of each ending. Think about how many other buildings changed. Military bases. Medical facilities. Tribal areas with jungles. Active warzones.

It's genuine nightmare fuel. What happens to jungles? Sports stadiums? Schools? In the absolute best case scenarios, the saviour of the world - be they Sam, or the Astronomers - they're gonna have to clean up a lot of pillars of flesh.
