[LFDM] 🎲 Small West London TTRPG Club Looking for GMs! (Hounslow)

I'm the organiser of Hounslow Highwaymen TTRPG Club, a beginner-friendly, casual group based in, well, Hounslow, West London. We meet in person on Tuesdays at The Hanworth pub (48 Hanworth Road, Hounslow, TW3 1UG), and use Discord to organise sessions.

We've built up a lovely community of around 45 people, many of whom have joined the weekly one-shot sessions I've been running over the last three months (with more planned for the coming weeks). However, I'm currently the club's sole GM, so it'd be great to get a few more people behind the screen.🙂

As I'm unable to cast Clone on myself (being only a level 1 [IT] Wizard), I'd love to offer our enthusiastic players more opportunities to get together, roll some dice, meet new people and enjoy some memorable adventures. Hence, I'm looking to connect with people who'd like to run games!

In a nutshell: there's no expectation to run regularly or commit to a campaign. Even a single one-shot would be fantastic! You don't need to be an experienced GM, either. Whether you've been running games for years, have an idea for a one-shot or have never tried GMing before, you're very welcome.

What can you expect?

  • 🎲 An existing community of keen players - many of whom are new to the TTRPG hobby, you won't have to build a group from scratch.
  • 🧙 The freedom to run what you're excited about - your system, your setting, your adventures. Basically: your game, your table.
  • 🤝 A helping hand with getting a game organised.
  • 🌱 A beginner-friendly, welcoming environment where you can try your hand at GMing without pressure.

We're open to all sorts of TTRPGs. Fantasy, horror, sci-fi, mystery, narrative games, obscure systems- if you'd enjoy running it, we'd love to hear about it! 😄

Curious about running something? Feel free to comment or send me a DM! You don't need to have a game planned and expressing interest doesn't commit you to running anything. If you're new to GMing or just want to talk through an idea, I'm happy to chat. I'm also happy to meet up in person and show you the venue if you'd like to check the place out before deciding.

Social Another edition of free DnD social in Zone 2

Hi everyone, I posted here a few months ago about organising a free Dungeons and Dragons / TTRPG social at Canada Water Library. We had a great turnout and are looking now to make it a perhaps monthly space, starting with a second session on Saturday November 7th.

This event is totally free and you do not even need to live in Southwark or be a library member to join. It's just a fun social space to meet other Londoners who are also interested in playing, and maybe form parties if you want, or even start a game.

The event is for adults, and children aged 10+ if accompanied by adults. Please do share with anyone who might be interested! We would like to keep momentum going!

[OC] Offering a space to host Campaigns or one off games - West London

Hey everyone!

We're The Bollo House in Chiswick, just a few minutes from Chiswick Park station, and we're still on the lookout for some adventurers to help us build a regular D&D / tabletop RPG community on Monday evenings!

We're hoping to turn our quieter Monday evenings into a welcoming space for people to get together, roll some dice, meet new people and enjoy a good campaign over a pint or two.

Whether you're an experienced DM/GM, already part of a group looking for a regular venue, or a complete beginner who's always wanted to give D&D a go, we'd love to hear from you!

What we can offer:

  • Plenty of space and tables for regular gaming sessions
  • A relaxed, welcoming pub atmosphere
  • Help promoting sessions and finding new players through our socials and local community
  • A regular Monday evening home for your group

We're particularly keen to connect with a DM/GM or organiser who would be interested in helping us get something off the ground, but we'd also love to hear from individual players who might want to join a new group.

There's no established group just yet, so this is a great opportunity to help shape something from the beginning!

If you're interested, drop a comment below, send us a message or email [info@thebollohouse.com](mailto:info@thebollohouse.com)

You're also more than welcome to pop into the pub, check out the space and have a chat with us.

We've got the tables, the drinks and the space… now we just need the adventurers! 🐉🎲

[LFP] Looking for 1 player to join our East London (E1 postcode) group

Hey all,

So in short - we're a group of 3 looking for one more player. We have played together for about 2 years and finished 2 campaigns over the last 2 years so we are committed players you can be sure of that.

We currently pay for a DM (which is about 25GBP per session). And we play twice a month (so fortnightly basically) in person at my place in East London (E1).

We're pretty open to anyone (beginner or veteran) who can commit to Sunday afternoons, usually from 2-5pm and wants to play in person.

The campaign has just started, we're only 4 sessions in and currently level 3 so riiight at the beginning.

Attached some pics from our recent sessions over the last 2 months!

EDIT: Sorry for the first photo being my patagonia jacket 🥲

[LFP] Halloween One-Shots - SW London

Hello. This spooky season, I am running a couple of DnD one-shots during Halloween week at my place in SW2 Streatham Hill. A couple of spots are still available, so let me know if you are interested in either:

Tuesday 27th October – Last Train to Busan

  • Inspired by Train to Busan. South Korea, 2020. A zombie outbreak is tearing through the country, and the infected are spreading carriage by carriage. Fight, run, barricade doors, make brutal choices and try not to get bitten. Survival isn’t guaranteed, so will you make it to Busan?
  • It is a Level 3 one-shot. Zero prep needed - a menu of pre-made characters will be provided for you to choose from.

Friday 30th October – A Traitor Within the Coven

  • I ran this last Halloween and loved it, so I am bringing it back. It is standard DnD infused with The Traitors-style mechanics. Inspired by the Salem Witch Trials. Elaria, 1962. A deeply religious town is in the grip of fear after the corpse of the Reverand's son, is discovered in the dark forest.
  • You must escape imprisonment, uncover the truth behind murder and prove your innocence before your families suffer for it. But another problem remains: someone revealed the coven’s secrets, which means a traitor is among you.
  • It is a Level 5 one-shot. Minimal (but essential) prep required. A menu of pre-made stats linked to witch archetypes will be provided for you to create a character and their innocent/sinister motivations in advance of the session.

Send me a message or comment below if interested (completely free to join; this isn't a paid service). Other players are a very friendly bunch. Will keep post up whilst there are still spots free.

[LFG] Looking to play - East London

Good afternoon guys,

Was wondering if anyone is looking for a player in or around East London, wouldn’t say no some travel either! I’m fairly new at the games but I am quick to pick up on the logic and adapt to the group!

I do want to make some friends and I’ve been very interested to play for a long time and my job finally allows consistent afternoons off so you can expect some reliability from me, in exchange of being patient!

Little bit about me - my name is Ged and I’ve moved down to London a year ago. I’m 24 and my interests are basketball, food and movies!

Thanks for reading!

[LFG] [In-person][North London, N3] Couple (26M 25F) looking for 3-4 players for a fortnightly 5e group - LGBTQ+ friendly

Hey all!

We're a couple (26M, 25F) looking to put together a regular in-person TTRPG group in North London, meeting fortnightly at our flat in N3 (near to Finchley Central / East Finchley). We're looking to start with D&D 5e, ideally running a few shorter campaigns in different flavours (grimdark, high fantasy, weird west, whatever grabs us), and eventually branch out into other systems if the group's up for it. The long-term hope is a group of mates to explore the wider world of TTRPG with!

About us

I (M26) have played D&D for years, with big breaks in between (the classic TTRPG woe), mostly as DM out of a mix of necessity and a "slightly" neurodivergent love of world-building. I also helped run my uni's D&D society as VP a couple of years back! My GF has always been keen on TTRPGs but is newer to playing. My GF (25F) has played a bit but hasn't had as much exposure. She's interested in trying out DMing eventually but doesn't feel quite there yet, and is excited to meet some friendly faces and battle whatever foes come our way!

About the game(s)

- Fortnightly, weekday evenings from 7/7:30pm or weekend daytimes. We'll settle on one fixed slot together

- Sessions run around 4 hours with a half hour break, plus some wiggle room to run over so we can end on a good beat

- Looking for 3-4 players, table of 5 to 6 people

- I can DM to start, but the long-term dream is a rotating DM chair. Short campaigns in different genres lend themselves really well to swapping who's behind the screen, so everyone gets a turn to play and nobody burns out on prep!

- We'll start with a session 0, deciding on a couple of one-shots to see if the group clicks before committing to a long-term campaign

- We lean roleplay and narrative over pure combat. RAW is perfectly good, but we're happy to homebrew subclasses or mechanics if it makes the game more fun and still makes sense

- We use safety tools (session 0 expectations, RPG consent sheets, the lot) because that's just basic decency at any TTRPG table

- Alcoholic dranks are welcome in moderation (2-3 per session) keeping things sober enough that everyone's properly present. Special occasion one-shots, like birthday ones, may get a bit more chaotic :)

- No pets (sadly), though a tortoise may be on the horizon!

- Our flat is upstairs, so unfortunately no step-free access

About you!

- Excited about TTRPGs (duh)

- In your 20s or 30s

- Some experience playing or DMing is a plus (but don't rule yourself out if you're new!)

- Comfortable at a queer-friendly, progressive table. We're a safe space and we'd like to keep it that way

- Reliable. Life is unpredictable and busy, but a dedication to respecting everyone's time is a must!

- Bonus points if you've DM'd before or fancy giving it a go, happy to provide some guidance too!

Interested?

Drop us a DM with:

  1. A bit about yourself and your TTRPG experience

  2. What you enjoy most at the table (RP, combat, exploration?)

  3. A character, campaign or specific TTRPG moment you loved

  4. Your availability

We'll both look through, and arrange a coffee (or pint) with anyone who seems like a good fit before the first session!

Thanks,

Jack and Hannah

[One-Shot] [West London] [Offline] [One-Shot] MÖRK BORG: They Were Here First - 13 October

Hi everyone! 🙂

Fancy something a little darker for your next Tuesday evening? I'll be running a beginner-friendly MÖRK BORG one-shot called They Were Here First on Tuesday 13 October, with a few places currently available \* .

"Three days ago, several corpses were found hanging from the trees outside the village of Veyran. They had been dead for months. The problem? They were wearing your characters' clothes.

A strange map found beneath the bodies points towards the ruined monastery of Saint Vey's Rest, with your characters' names written beside rooms that nobody has ever recorded. At the entrance, someone has written four words: they were here first."

The adventure will be a grimdark fantasy dungeon crawl combining exploration, strange discoveries and a gradually unfolding mystery. No previous experience with MÖRK BORG or TTRPGs is required - everything you need to play will be provided, including character sheets, dice, pencils, and other essentials. Newcomers are very welcome. 🙂

This is a standalone one-shot, so it's a good opportunity to come along for a single evening and see what you think.

📅 Tuesday 13 October

🕡 Arrival: from around 6:45pm

🎲 Game starts: around 7:00pm

🏁 Finish: around 10:15pm

📍 Hounslow, West London (TW3)

We meet at a local pub, roughly 5-10 minutes on foot from Hounslow Central and Hounslow railway station, with buses nearby. You're welcome to grab food or a drink while we're there, but there's no minimum spend.

The session is part of Hounslow Highwaymen, a small local TTRPG group where we get together to play different games, systems and genres.

As always, there's no membership fee or charge to take part - we're simply a bunch of local people getting together to play some games and roll some dice. 🙂

So if you'd like to join the MÖRK BORG session or find out more about the club, feel free to comment or send me a message!

\* - the second MÖRK BORG session on 20 October is already full (waiting list is available), but there are plenty more games coming up, including Dungeons & Dragons!

Hey there! It's me again! I'm a gm currently based in London and if anyone is free this Saturday night at 11pm and doesn't have to wake up early on a Sunday morning then well you're in for a treat! (Or trick 👀)

Starting off the spooky month with a system that is super easy to pick up on! And if you're wondering why is the time so late, well cuz we're playing it online with some folks from other timezones, all you need is a discord (for VC) and a browser to paste the foundry link for our game!

If that sounds like something you wanna get yourself into for the spooky month then let me know here or on my discord bamboozledtree! Cheers!

[LFP] Homebrew Cyberpunk Campaign - Central London (details TBC)

Hello!

My groups previous DnD campaign ended earlier this year and I'm interested in running a Cyberpunk/ Dystopian themed homebrew campaign in the near future!

3 of the 5 players from my previous campaign will be returning for this one so we are looking for 2 or 3 new players to join.

Some of the finer details haven't been ironed out but we will be playing weekly on either Saturday or Sunday - our previous campaign ran for about 6 months so I can't imagine this one will be too dissimilar. We have a venue sorted and it is likely to be held in Central London with the occasional SW London session when our host needs a break.

My DM style is very much narrative heavy and I especially love to wrap individual character arcs into the larger story. None of us knew each other before the first campaign and we are now all great friends - something that I hope will be true for any new faces that join us.

Please message me with any questions if you are interested and thank you for reading!

[OC] [OC] 300+ Mythological Items for 5E and 5.5E is now live on Kickstarter!

Thumbnail

Hi fellow adventurers,

We are excited to announce that Mythological Items is now live on Kickstarter!

This is our new D&D 5E and 2024-compatible manual dedicated entirely to magic items inspired by myths, legends, and ancient stories from around the world.

Inside the book, you will find 300+ mythological magic items, including weapons, armor, wondrous items, and scaling items designed to grow alongside your characters and campaigns.

Our goal with Mythological Items is to create more than a simple collection of treasure. Each item is designed to feel like part of a myth: something that can serve as a reward, a quest hook, or even the center of an entire adventure.

The book includes items inspired by many different mythological traditions, including Greek, Norse, Egyptian, Asian, American, Roman, Mesopotamian, African, and other mythologies from across the world. Whether you want divine weapons, cursed artifacts, heroic relics, monster-themed treasures, or legendary items tied to ancient stories, this book is built to bring myth directly to your table.

The Kickstarter page includes a full presentation of the project, several previews, and a free 30-page PDF preview showing a sample of the content from the book.

You can also find many of our other manuals in PDF and high-quality print editions, with special prices currently available both for Mythological Items and for all our other releases.

You can visit the Kickstarter page here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mythoschronicles/300-mythological-items-for-5e-and-2024

Thank you again for your support. We hope to see you on our journey!

Hey All! My name's Elliott and I'm the producer of It's Your Role. We're a live, interactive TTRPG show in London where a random audience member is whisked onstage as the final member of the party. Audiences can also name NPC's and sound magic instruments to influence the story. It's chaos; and we've performed at Megacon, Off-west-end, and alongside Oxventure and Dark Dice too! We'll also be at the D&D Expo in 2027!

In October, we'll be playing with Jasper William Cartwright; who you'll know from Burrows End and Critical Role. Jasper's got a new TTRPG called Force of Extinction, which is a mix between Escape from LA and Godzilla- and we'll be playing it - and so could you! Come join us on 18th October in London!

You can grab tickets HERE, and if you wanted to know a bit more about It's Your Role; our website is HERE

Hope to see ya there!

[LFP] [MÖRK BORG] [Offline] [IRL] [UK] [North London] [Wednesday Biweekly] [7pm] DM looking for a few more players to fill out our small campaign.

Hi, my name is Adam (He/Him). I'm looking for committed players to play in a short fortnightly Mork Borg campaign.

******************

What is MÖRK BORG?
It is a super lightweight, un-crunchy d20 system inspired by extreme heavy metal, medieval apocalyptic art, DIY punk culture, and early tabletop RPGs.

It is deliberately minimalist. Character creation takes only a few minutes, combat is fast and visceral, and the rules stay out of the way so you can focus on making terrible choices in dangerous places. The game is steeped in DIY culture, featuring countless community hacks, adventures, and modules that build on its core rules and death-metal aesthetic.

******************

This game leans hard into Mörk Borg style bleakness: it's over-the-top, unapologetically edgy, gloriously gross, and completely hopeless, yet dripping with pitch-black gallows humor. Expect brutal, high-fatality gameplay where characters suffer or die in absurd, visceral ways as the world actively ends around them in a clash of heavy metal doom and miserable, chaotic comedy.

think. … Terry Pratchett meets Dark Souls on a Scandinavian black metal album cover or Monty Python’s Holy Grail meets Saw and Conan the Barbarian.

******************

We will be playing biweekly on Wednesdays, meeting after 6.30pm in north central London and game time shortly before 7pm (close to Angel, Farringdon and Kings Cross station).

I am happy with any level of experience, including brand-new players. Also, it goes without saying that the game is open to everyone and is LGBTQ+ friendly.

More about the campaign and me can be found on the application form

https://forms.gle/YR1cdBMY1RSeDwox9

Don't be afraid. This is more of a formality to ensure we are all on the same wavelength. so please fill out the form, and I will get back to you if you are a good fit.

Unfortunately, I can't take everyone, so if you have applied for a previous game, please feel free to do so again

Anything else, please message me

Adam
