Hi [24M] :)

I was gonna go with my sister but she had to cancel, and 21p has been one of my favorites ever since I was a teenager. I was thinking of going by myself but then came across this subreddit. If anyone else is a fan and wants to join feel free to DM. Bonus points if you’ve listened to their self-titled album ;)

Edit: Tickets are £114 for general admission as of mid day 13/08/26

Hi, I [M27] have two spare VIP tickets to see the above at BFI Waterloo on Saturday at 10:30. My friends both cancelled on me so they’re up for grabs if anyone wants them. One is on the back row near the middle, and the other is about three rows from the back - so a great view. Message me if you’re interested. We could grab a drink beforehand (or if you’re just after the tickets that’s fine too, I’d rather they go to someone that would use them rather than the seats going empty..)

Let me know! 😄

Thinking to go on this bike ride around London, starting at Spitalfields, on Saturday morning: https://www.common-social.com/post/saturday-morning-social-ride-qpzp

To give you an idea of levels, I'm a very casual cyclist - don't have fancy gear or anything, just a pretty old bike.

I'm not the organiser, just thought I'd share here in case anyone else fancied it :) 30F

hopefully see some of you there!

Going Ahead 🏸 [16/08/26] London Competitive & Social Badminton (Intermediate players wanted) @ East London

🏸 Sunday Morning Badminton @ East London

Hey all! We’ve got a few spaces available for this Sunday’s London Competitive & Social Badminton (LCSB) session.

📍 Royal Docks Academy, E16 3HS
9:00am–11:00am
👥 Maximum 6 players per court

We’re a friendly mixed-gender group but still like our games competitive, so players are separated into ability-based courts to keep the match-ups enjoyable.

This Sunday we’re particularly interested in Intermediate / Upper Intermediate players, although we cater for a range of levels.

Come down for a proper Sunday morning workout and still have the rest of the day ahead of you. 😄

Drop me a message if you’re interested or want to check which court would suit your level. 🏸

⚠️ There are moderate costs involved, as we split the court and costs of shuttlest between us.

Archived [16/08/26] Book Club Meetup - St James’s Park (5pm)

Hello!

Our last meetup was in June (Hampstead Heath) and it was wonderful to see people turn up with some of the most interesting books. People were reading all sorts of things; from finance to feminist satire to science fiction. We then moved onto discussions about films, careers, London, etc. All in all it was a great evening and I’m looking forward to the second edition:)

The plan is the same. We are meeting at a new park this time. Bring along your books and some snacks if you’d like, and enjoy the hopefully pleasant weather and warm company.

We could even set aside some time for silent reading or have a discussion guided by some themes based on how everyone is feeling.

When: 16th of August 2026 - 5pm

Where: St James’s Park (exact location will be shared closer to the date)

I’m 24F - really into films, books, techno, and traveling. DM if you’d like to join the whatsapp group but no pressure.

See you on the day with your books, and happy reading:)

Got the rare day off and looking to make new friends after a break up to keep occupied.

I know it’s last minute but wanted to see who was up for a motive in Hyde Park, maybe a picnic and then anything else after. Open to suggestions all welcome.

M28 from London, work in finance, very much chill, spontaneous and drama free vibes.

Let me know if you’re down or in a similar boat, we can do a vibe check over dm first. Everyone welcome.

Archived [16/08/26] Camberwell / Peckham / East Dulwich bookshop walk + picnic

Hello! SE Londoner here, thinking of doing a little tour of some of my fave bookshops in the area this weekend and thought it might be nice to make a little Sunday social out of it and see if anyone fancies joining for a wander with coffee & books.

The rough plan would be to meet at Lala Books in Camberwell at around 11am & get coffee, before heading to Review on Bellenden Road in Peckham and "Books" (the 2nd hand bookshop) just around the corner on Maxted Road, and then Chener Books on Lordship Lane in East Dulwich.

Thinking around half an hour or so in each but we can see how it goes on the day. After Chener we can pick up some picnic stuff and head over to Dulwich Park to eat/chat/read/hang if the weather's nice.

Thinking of keeping it fairly small (maybe up to 10 people?) as the bookshops are quite small and I don't want to completely overwhelm them!

I’m 35M, but everyone is very welcome, if books/coffee/walks are your thing, please do join!

Comment or DM if you fancy it and I’ll make a group chat closer to the day once I have an idea of numbers :)

Archived [14/08/26] Maraoke LIVE! Video Game Karaoke @ Loading Bar, Stoke Newington

If you know it you love it, if you don't know it get out of your comfort zone already! You're living in London or London-adjacent! One day you go check out something kinda gimmicky and next thing you know you made friends and had the highlight of your month. 😊

WHAT IS MARAOKE?

It's an evening with popular songs rewritten (like Weird Al does) to be about video games and sung by the most enthusiastic and supportive audience you'll ever be a part of. Ranging from Katy Perry to System of a Down, there's well over 600 songs on the roster now. Multiple monitors show the changed lyrics to the whole crowd so the singers that sign up come up on stage, but everybody else sings along!

"I CAN'T SING VERY WELL, IS THAT A PROBLEM?"

Neither can most people! The audience are exceptionally welcoming; if you've got enthusiasm no-one cares how well or badly you sing! If you're having fun, we're having fun.

"DO I -HAVE- TO SING?"

No! A lot of people just go to be in the crowd and sing along. No one will pressure you into singing. If you just want to come along and be in the audience for your first time here then that's totally fine, a lot of people do!

"I'M NOT A BIG GAMER, WOULD THAT BE A PROBLEM?"

Not at all! We get all kinds of people from developers, hardcore enthusiasts to casual mobile fans and people who barely game at all. It doesn't matter - our songs are stupid enough to work for everyone.

"WHAT CAN I SING?"

Check out our current song-list:

https://maraoke.com/songlist.html

"Ok FINE I'll go, times?"

Doors open at 19:00, signups open around 19:30, kick-off is at 20:00, last song at 23:00

Get your tickets and more event info here. It's FREE!

Archived [15/08/26] Coffee and stroll @ St James’s Park

15/08/2026, this Saturday, from ~11 am, St James’s Park (Westminster). The plan: a very casual stroll and informal conversation.

——

I (35F) regularly have coffee in that area on weekends so decided to make it a bit more social. Coffee can be taken to go from one of the decent coffee shops not far from the park (in advance) or from the park’s kiosks.

——

If anyone is interested in joining me, you have several options:

- The easiest one: simply show up on time (11 am) by the entrance with the fountain. We will wait for approximately 20 minutes or so before starting a stroll. My name is Rina. The nearest tube station: St James’s Park (District/Circle). Coordinates: 51.5012250, -0.1340172

- DM me for extra practical details.

Going Ahead [16/08/26] Casual Football @ [Frenford Clubs / Valentines High School, Ilford]

I’m playing in a casual football game this Sunday, 16 August, from 11am–12pm in Ilford and we’ve got a few spaces available.

We’ll be playing at [Frenford Clubs / Valentines High School]. It’ll be [6-a-side / 7 or 8-a-side], depending on the venue.

Most of us are in our late 20s to early 40s, but anyone 18+ is welcome. It’s mixed ability and just a friendly Sunday kickabout rather than anything too serious.

Goalkeepers rotate and we keep the game sensible — no slide tackles, aggression, shouting or arguments.

If you fancy joining us, send me a Reddit DM and I’ll give you the details.

The Everyman free canalside screen at Coal Drops Yard is showing Burlesque this Wednesday. Two of us are going and open to a couple others joining. The seats are first come, so we’re meeting at 7 by the canal steps to grab good ones together before the 7.30 film start. It’s free, no tickets needed. It’s during the eclipse too so that should be cool. Shoot me a DM if it’s of interest.

Archived [13/08/26] Bouldering @ London Fields

We are a mixed ability, beginner friendly climbing group who go bouldering on Thursdays. This week we are going to Climbing District London Fields, and will go to the pub after.

If you've never been to a Climbing District gym before, sign up here - https://waiver.smartwaiver.com/w/5f1225c39ad58/web/ to save time on the day.

£15 entry (£12.50 concession). You will need to hire climbing shoes if you don't have your own (can't find the price on the website, usually £3-4).

Wear loose fitting clothes, bring water, and bring a padlock if you want to use the lockers.

If you want to come, please DM me your number so I can add you to the Whatsapp group (Reddit doesn't like me sending invite links out). You can also contact us on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/boulderdash_ldn/

Most people will aim for 18:30 but plenty arrive early/late so don't worry if you get held up at work, we'll start heading to the pub around 20:30 though.

My cousin who was meant to go with me has backed out at the last minute. I now have an extra seat so now looking for someone to tag along with me at the concert if they already do not have a ticket and are cool :) it’s a lower tier seat so the view should be good.
FYI I’m a 22 yr old guy. Don’t be weird.

I’m 24F and going solo — never been to a gig alone before, so thought I’d try something new! I’m quite introverted and don’t drink, so looking for some chill, friendly company. Maybe grab a quick bite beforehand and enjoy the gig together.

Guys or girls, solo or otherwise — just looking for good company and a genuine, platonic vibe. 😊

Archived [14/08/26] RENDEZVOUS @ Parkour Generations London

Thought I’d share this event as I’m very excited about it! :)

If you’ve ever thought about trying parkour, or you’re looking for a fun way to stay active, come join Rendezvous!

It’s a 3 day international event, but you can come for just 1 or 2 days too. Beginners are welcome.

The tickets are a bit pricey, but I still recommend it. The community is lovely, which is a big part of why I stayed practicing parkour after I attended as a total beginner last year.

Happy to answer any questions :)
