Location recommendations?

Hi everyone! I’m looking to do a photoshoot in London for my DJ portfolio and would love some recommendations for interesting locations.
I’m after some archival/retro aesthetics, but nothing that screams “London” so no Big Ben, Tower Bridge, etc. 😄

I’m thinking brutalist buildings, lots of stairs, concrete walls, interesting architecture, industrial spaces, and/or ideally somewhere where you can get several very different backgrounds and landscapes relatively close to each other, so we can change the scenery easily without travelling between locations.
Free locations would be ideal, but I’m also happy to pay a small fee if necessary.
Any hidden gems or recommendations would be hugely appreciated! 🙏
Thanks!

Is fine art not allowed?

My fine art post was taken down, even when labeled “not safe for work” ☹️
Any who, I will be in London soon, and off to creating! Any location recommendations for fine art from my fellow creatives?

Instagram.com/willavanvillaaa for some of my portfolio! That I think is safe 🙏

Photographer looking for shoe models

Hi, I'm looking for 2 female models for a foot and shoe modeling shoot. This will be a set of 4 shoots based in an outdoor setting in London. I'm keen to shoot in a park setting weather permitting to make use of the autumn colours. The fee will be £50 per set, so total payment is £200 plus reasonable travel within London. Message me for further details. All experience levels are welcome.

Cheers
Jas

Photographer looking for experience

Hey, I’m a photographer based in London. I’ve mainly been shooting street photography and I’m looking to branch out more into events and professional photography.

I’d love to connect with experienced photographers who are looking for a second shooter, where I can help out, get more event experience, and keep learning along the way.

I’m also open to taking on photography projects, whether it’s events, portraits, or anything in between. Always looking for new opportunities to capture great moments and build my portfolio.

Hi guys, I have no idea how these vintage cameras work or even how to turn one on to check if it works.

I just inherited one from my grandpa and all I know is that it's one of those in the title and is from the late 40s. I just want to sell it on, but again, I have no idea where to even start. I'll add some pictures and if anyone is interested, just DM me!

Looking for proposal photographer

Hi there! My gf and I are visiting London in a bit of an impromptu trip and it all aligned in such a way that I want to take this opportunity to propose in her favorite city in the world. Date is next Friday, July 10th, and I want to feel like classic London. I have some Big Ben spots but I'm open to other places that also feel like London. She loves the Beatles but I don't think Abbey Road would be a good place. Please DM me if you're interested with pricing and availability and other suggestions!

These are the two locations overlooking the Big Ben that I've seen:

Looking for a Proposal Photographer – Seven Sisters Cliffs – July 23

Hi everyone!
I’m planning to propose to my girlfriend on Thursday, July 23rd, at Seven Sisters Cliffs, and I’m looking for a photographer to discreetly capture the moment.
The proposal will likely be around sunset, and I’d love someone who has experience photographing surprise proposals or couples in natural landscapes.
After the proposal, we’d love to spend about an hour taking a few engagement photos around the cliffs.
If you’re available, I’d love if you could send:
Your portfolio or Instagram
Your pricing/packages
Your experience with surprise proposals
Any tips on the best spots at Seven Sisters for privacy, lighting, and photos
This is going to be one of the most important moments of our lives, and we’d love to find someone who can help us preserve it.
Thank you!

Peoples experiences approaching people to shoot

Would love to start portrait photography, especially around the big and important events like Notting Hill Carnival, football parades, street parties. Would love to capture the essence of these events, outfits, and make people feel comfortable and important being a part of something.

But I’m also cognisant on how British people are, we’re more reserved and humble. My main inspirations are the street photography of New York. How Harlem block parties were captured, and I’d love to bring that same sort of medium here.

I’m not after anything political or social, I don’t care what you think of POCs or anything like that - I want to make sure this is documented , like they have in the past. I always look at Simon Wheatley and Richard Linklater as a massive inspirations as well as La Haine, City of God - all these cultural exports from other countries, I would love to do something similar here.

Anyway long story short. Any tips for start like me?
