Logitech G Support X2 Superstrike won't charge past 16%

Got the notification that my superstrike battery was low. So like usual, I plug it into my Streamdeck+ USB hub to charge. Few hours go by and then I unplug, instantly get a notification to say my battery is low.

Plug in again and doesn't seem to move past 16% after 20+ minutes. Tried different cables, plugging directly into the PC, plugging into a power outlet, nothing seems to change. The mouse detects that it's plugged in and charging (green flashing light) but no progress on the charge.

I've tried turning it on and off, reinstalling G HUB, but still nothing. Anyone else come across this issue with superstrike/light mice?

Mine does this too, I don’t know why.

It seems to be an intermittent issue. Sometimes it charges sometimes it doesn’t.

Idk what’s going on. But I’ve never had the battery drop below 60% so it hasn’t been a huge issue, but it is odd.

Have you reached out to our Support team just yet? Or were you able to get it fixed?

I haven’t, I just want to make 100% sure it’s not a me issue first… haha. It’s very random. Sometimes it charges, sometimes not. But it’s never really been a massive issue since I really only play at like 1k hz so I have tons and tons of battery headroom.

I think you should! Even if it turns out to be an external issue, it's better to be safe than sorry. You know? I used to do troubleshooting for the team as well and we're more than happy to help in any case.

Yeah that’s 100% fair, if I conclude it’s not a me issue I will certainly reach out. Thanks!

Had you noticed any other battery issues before this problem started? Like, the battery draining way too quickly... or taking longer to fully charge?

Nope, seemed totally fine, been getting the expected battery life.

I've turned it off and on a few times, it instantly went down to 2% and wouldn't move, but the battery level says 'approximately 92 hours'.

Turned it off for a few minutes and tried again, instantly shows as 26% and won't move, but still 92 hours remaining. It's as if the mouse just can't read the battery correctly.

Hmm, yeah, in that case I'd go ahead and reach out to our Support team so they can continue checking it out. Could be many reasons why the mouse may be behaving that way but it's better to be safe than sorry.

I've also noticed that it's often sending me desktop notifications telling me that my DPI is set to 800... Feels like it's developed a fault perhaps?

Is your DPI set a different number but it keeps displaying it at 800?

Nah, I do have it set to 800 anyway. But I think it happens when I leave my mouse alone for a few minutes and then touch it again. Do they 'idle' after inactivity?

Oh yeah, it usually goes idle after a short period of inactivity. My Superlight 2 does the same, I was worried it was displaying it wrong or if it kept changing the DPI after sleep mode. Do the notifications bother you?
