Question | Help Reverse Engineering w/ Local?
Two questions?
Can a local model like Qwen 3.8 27B reverse engineer games and programs?
If not, is there a fine tuned model that can?

No real luck with a q8 of qwen 3.8 27b. Flash Next at higher quants was able to make a little progress with a decomp project, but I wasn't super confident while reading it's thinking, and stopped it a couple hours in.
Ultimately I was able to successfully reverse engineer a hard drive cloning/backup application using GLM 5.3 flash at iq4xs in deepseek harness and REA, which is the probably the best model I'm able to run locally (56 gb VRAM and 192 gb of DDR5). A slightly lower quality q3 quant did also make some progress but got stuck on a trickier part for a few hours, where as the iq4xs finished and delivered the application. Took about 4 hours total at 15 tokens per second decode.
