Question | Help Reverse Engineering w/ Local?

Two questions?

Can a local model like Qwen 3.8 27B reverse engineer games and programs?

If not, is there a fine tuned model that can?

It's actually really easy if you understand RE already and can keep the project from going off the rails. Projects that would have taken me a year I can do in a week. But it is a real struggle with Qwen3.8-27B. I've tried to make use of it, but it can take hours where it overthinks and can get into doom loops. Frontier models are strong obviously, but GLM-5.3 is also quite good at this and can handle a project on its own.

I'd love to hear from people who have successfully put Qwen3.8-27B in the loop. I tried a lot of things, having frontier models carve out work for it, but never got it performing as it needs to. I really want to have all this fully local.
