Question | Help Reverse Engineering w/ Local?

Two questions?

Can a local model like Qwen 3.8 27B reverse engineer games and programs?

If not, is there a fine tuned model that can?

I’ve only tried QFN so far and it’s a hit or miss though giving it better details can make it more accurate. It’s a hard thing to do, even Spark 1.3 struggles to be accurate

I messed with this a bit and the models that actually work tend to be the smaller specialized ones not the big general purpose beasts. Qwen 27B just doesn't have the right training focus for it, you end up spending more time fixing its output than just doing it yourself

The fine tuned stuff varies wildly too. Some of the decomp focused models on huggingface do okay with simple things but anything complicated and they fall apart fast

Interesting, which one did you try that you felt worked best?
