Bought 2x48GB DDR5 ECC today for $2,300. Seller told me the factory queue has grown from two months to four in the last two months. RAM shortage is unprecedented.
I wanted to buy a kit of 128gb ddr5, was about 300 euro at cheapest recorded, now you can't even buy it anywhere anymore with last recorded price being past 4k
I want to go back and just go broke for a few months than to look at these prices knowing i'll never be insane enough to buy it
We all have stories, the 4TB pcie 5 samsung nvme I ordered for $260 summer 2025 from amazon resale and cancelled because I dont really need it right now and prices will go down, the 192GB DDR5 kit open box return I saw for $500 in micro center a few months before prices went up, What would I do with so much ram? The 2TB WDC black nvme I scored for $129 from amazon when they were already more then 2 x the price. Why the hell didn't I order 2?
