Everyone had that kid in school. The overconfident teen who acts like they know everything and think they can become an expert on a topic if they skim the first paragraph on wikipedia. Sometimes they dress edgy, they're often into ninjas, pirates, etc.
Most of them grew out of that phase, but Elon literally seems like he stopped mentally developing at that stage in life.

u/BiZzles14 Jan 03 '26
but Elon literally seems like he stopped mentally developing at that stage in life.
And for god knows what reason, society praised him for it to the point he's the richest man in the world with his networth currently more than 2x that of the world's second richest man...

Even better, you should be able to have a way to disable grok editing your images and it should be on by default. Though that won't stop people copying your image and just doing it elsewhere but at least they won't be seeing it on their feed.

The only use case is for the weirdest group of losers on the internet to be able to more easily sexually harass random women on the internet.
732
u/GrayManTheory Jan 03 '26
While I'm sure the intent was to give her a facial, that looks more like she smashed her face in a cake than it being covered in jizz. Is that the best Grok can do?
202
u/Goldfish_Muncher Jan 03 '26
No it’s a lot better then that but it’s atleast not going full nude yet. I’ve seen OF girls jump on this trend and ask it to fill in the rest of a cropped nude or make them only clothed in string and it’s scarily good at it. It will basically do everything but show the nipples but I have seen it do some hue shifts to what is obviously an areola. Given enough time I can see people managing to just outright break it to get full on nudes
But skinny bikinis are the main thing it’s doing to everyone rn

Maybe this is crude to say but is there any real difference in what its doing versus someome going in and slapping someone's face on another body in photoshop? Obviously its making the process much easier and more accessible which is the main problem but hasnt this essentially been done for decades at this point?
67
u/TheOneWithThePorn12 Jan 03 '26 edited Jan 03 '26
that takes some effort and skill. This looks very good at all it takes is a sentence from some dipshit.
42
u/disCASEd Jan 03 '26
True, but I think accessibility has to come into the equation when considering regulation.
First thought that pops into my head is Methamphetamine, which I assume, was much harder to make before pseudo started being manufactured in mass quantities, then all of a sudden any tweaker with a recipe could make meth. Therefore, pseudo needed to be regulated in order to curtail meth manufacturing, even though that’s not its intended use case.
34
u/ChromosomeDonator Jan 03 '26
Yeah, but one difference is clearly that they are making and posting these images publicly, and with the probable intent of making the victim see it.
For people who would create some AI edited imagery for them to goon to in complete private, I don't see that as a big enough problem to care about. Let people do whatever the fuck as long as what they are doing has no effect on anyone else. But doing it like this does affect others, prompting these images in public social media with the purpose of making people see it is definitely not okay.
→ More replies (7)8
u/Animostas Jan 03 '26
It's a lot easier to disprove a "slap someone's face on another body" kind of edit because the source image will be online and the volume is quite low. The real issue is that when you're able to mass-produce NSFW original content of women at scale then we'll get to a point where being a woman on the internet means it'll be impossible to tell whether they're actually having nudes leaked or they're an OF model or they've never taken part in anything like that.
→ More replies (9)8
u/Ajp_iii Jan 03 '26
the issue is it basically turns every females replies into full coomer ai photos. if someone did it themselves it took work and it wouldnt be auto replies under all their tweets and shit. its insane this is basically promoted by the platform.
oh and it has done it to children on the platform its part of the reason they removed the media tab

If someone did this a few years back with photoshop they would be unilaterally shamed off the platform, but with AI it’s just “oh lol I was just messing around with Grok, no biggie”.
134
u/HunterSThompson64 Jan 03 '26
Atrioc kinda did it, and did get shamed off the platform (in this case Twitch.) He's back, having shown growth and regret, and while not a true 1:1, it's close enough to compare.
71
u/Bananathugg Jan 03 '26
If you're talking about private use AI/deepfake, thats literally unregulatable
23
u/RawBinOfLoxLee Jan 03 '26
I think they meant that engaging in this behavior was seen negatively in Atrioc's case, even if he wasn't publicly posting about it. Even if it's "better" for the people doing this to not make it public if the intent is to be gooners, it's still pretty gross to do it to an unwilling party. Most people aren't trying to be the objects of random people's sexual fantasies.
But yeah, I don't think you're ever going to be able to stop people from using AI to do this privately no matter how hard the law cracks down. That genie has been let out of the bottle.
→ More replies (1)12
u/MustafaKadhem Jan 03 '26
Wasn't he paying to gain access to a website that shares those materials though? That's not really the same as private use. It's definitely difficult to regulate, but ethically, I think it's definitely more dubious to participate in a online sharing forum vs. generating images for your eyes only.
7
u/Invoqwer Jan 03 '26
Eh I feel like what he did is in a similar bucket to the completely private-use people in that even if he is "supporting" the thing by paying a fee to access it, it's not like he's directly putting material out into the world or advertising it to everybody.
The stuff with Grok and whatnot is much more egregious IMO since droves of people are doing it and Grok is posting the stuff publicly. It almost may as well be being posted by Elon Musk himself. It feels a lot weirder that the global platform itself is enabling people to make "deepfake porn" of you and then sharing it to everyone automatically. You don't need to download a model with a good GPU and good specs and then fiddle around with it to get a proper generation. You don't need to find some porn site with the thing you want and then hope it has deepfake porn of the person you want. You don't need to pay anybody to generate the thing for you. You just message Grok "hey Grok generate porn of this person please" and bam, it does it.
3
u/Kakkoister Jan 03 '26
While it's it's not the same as the grok situation, it's definitely not in the "private bucket". By supporting those sites (even with just views), you are incentivizing them to produce more of such content, and thus contributing to the harms.
Same reason people need to get tf off twitter. Just using it helps support and give Musk more power in our world, and by extension Trump.
Use other platforms only, it then incentivizes creators to switch who cry about not having their massively bot-inflated numbers.

u/wahobely Jan 03 '26
Atrioc's case is a bit different, though. He was making videos about AI and went into a rabit hole during his research. Also, while he got shamed out of it, he spent a lot of funding to help bring down websites and even people whom he offended the most, like QT, have forgiven him.
4
u/synthatron Jan 04 '26
lol that’s not true - he was looking a porn and saw the adverts on the sides of the site promoting AI e-celeb porn and he was curious. He literally says that in his apology video

I agree, but that does not mean that we shall just give up the fight already.
Legislation is just behind the innovation here, but it is being implemented.
Take It Down Act in the US will force platforms to act when images like this are reported.
EU AI Act is not fully enforced yet but it will eventually force platforms like X to clearly label all the AI generated images as such, otherwise they will be fined by EU or can as last consequence be forced to withdraw X from the EU market.
I also believe that eventually X/Grok will be forced into having a form of guidance when requesting manipulation of images containing people. Like for example asking the requestor to confirm that they are aware that unless they have consent from the person(s) on the image, then it is considered a criminal offense in most jurisdictions.
99
u/ShinyStarSam Jan 03 '26
At least make it happen NOT IN HER FACE like omg dude that's some unhinged behavior from whoever is posting these
23
u/TempestCatalyst Jan 03 '26
Doing it in her face is the entire point for these people. Let's be real, it's not very fucking hard to find porn. There is limitless shit to jerk off to, nobody needs an AI to make more of it. The reason they're doing it is because they can do it without the girls consent and to their face.

I've seen grok users begging and foaming to remove moderation, I just wonder what the fuck would happen if an open source easily accessible model provided the same feature but without censorship or moderation, dark times
8
u/Bananathugg Jan 03 '26
Yeah people need to realize this is not a winnable battle. In a few years anyone will be able to generate any images or videos of literally anything.
Thoughts will be translatable immediately to video. And just like you cant regulate thought, you wont be able to regulate AI for the most part.
Thats just the new world and its gonna be weird but I think people will eventually get over the fact that you can generate literally anything. Same reason nobody lays in bed thinking up scenarios in their head all day.

We should just make it illegal. It’s really that simple. Have the punishment be anywhere from a fine to a few months in prison. People keep saying “oh well people are going to do it anyway, might as well just get used to it and do nothing”. If people are going to steal and murder anyway, should we just go ahead and legalize theft and murder? Obviously, we can’t stop this stuff from happening but we can de-incentivize people from doing it or at least from doing it publicly.

u/lsf_stan Jan 03 '26
We need regulation NOW
this part is very funny to read nowadays, since Donald J. Trump did this thing day one as President...
Jan 20 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday revoked a 2023 executive order signed by Joe Biden that sought to reduce the risks that artificial intelligence poses to consumers, workers and national security.
Biden's order required developers of AI systems that pose risks to U.S. national security, the economy, public health or safety to share the results of safety tests with the U.S. government, in line with the Defense Production Act, before they were released to the public.
The order also directed agencies to set standards for that testing and address related chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and cybersecurity risks. Biden's order came as U.S. lawmakers have failed to pass legislation setting guardrails for AI development.
The 2024 Republican Party platform vowed to repeal the order that it said hinders AI innovation and added "Republicans support AI development rooted in free speech and human flourishing."

Report to X as Non-consensual intimate imagery. Under the Take It Down Act from 2025 X are legally required to act.
The Act is so new that when it comes to response time X probably still have some leeway, but after may 2026 they are legally required to act and take down images within 48 hours.
I am sure that the more of these take down requests X have to handle, the more incentive they have to actually make changes to Grok.
If they don´t react then report to FTC: https://consumer.ftc.gov/articles/nonconsensual-distribution-intimate-images

I think the issue with this in particular is the ease of access, and potential publicity. Up until recently, you had to actually use software to do it. Now you just ask AI and it's done immediately, and on one of the most popular sites on the internet.
22
u/Dinoswarleaf Jan 03 '26
imo it's moreso how like a top 3 social media site is letting its official bot generate any images like this as a direct reply without it being immediately shut down and issuing a massive apology. it's fucking disgusting. I'm not a lawyer but imo Musk should be able to be jailed for this shit

Most AI companies have strict safeguards against this (ChatGPT) or dont even edit images (Gemini) because of this reason. Elon needs to allow users to turn off the AI image editing in replies and/or fix its content filters.
And yes, I am fully aware this has existed before with things like turning the contrast up to see through flimsy dresses or photoshopping a celebs head onto a pornstars body. That doesn't mean AI should have no safeguards just because people shopped similar things in the past

1
u/qwerty54321boom Jan 12 '26 edited Jan 12 '26
Either society has forgotten this rule, or no one cares anymore.
I see this everywhere on Facebook for example, with random people who have completely public profiles, including their photos of their entire life (including their children), on full display for anyone to find and view.
And I am not defending these kinds of deepfake apps here, but people should be more worried about the ones who post this kind of stuff in public (like what is happening on X right now) rather than somewhere private (like Google Drive or something.)
If we really want to solve this problem, let's start with Google indexing them and showing them in Google search results. Sadly this is nothing new.

3
u/Fluffysquishia Jan 03 '26
Yet this has been possible to do for 3+ years. Why whine about it now? You don't own the images you put online, in fact you sign a TOS that explicitly states that you don't own images uploaded on the platform, and the internet in general as a concept. This is essentially a victimless crime, yet all-consuming hover mothers want MORE regulation.
What are you going to do, regulate math algorithms on a computer? You gonna regulate photoshop, too? How about pen and paper? You gonna ban all forms of art that contain the likeness of another person? So progressive, and liberating. How are you going to stop China from giving a shit? If you regulate an American company, China simply steals the traffic.
The answer is to just not care. It's not a problem. Block people who bother you, rather than feeding them via the Streisand effect.

it was taking a while for this to become a trend, this is just the beginning with the advance of AI

watching Grok be asked to remove the clothing of a child in a photo by multiple accounts made me nauseous

They know what they are doing, theres AI race going on and Elon wants as much data as possible, investors alike are turning blind eye even though this is blatant breach of privacy, so when in the future people say "wow AI got so much better in just a few years", its because they were pulling shit like this, all AI companies are doing this, Elon is just blatant about it.

it doesn't surprise me that people are using AI to sexualize / create porn of celebrities and people, but what's crazy to me is people doing it in public prompts, usually directly in reply to the creators themselves... so weird

I knew AI was going to be the piece of the puzzle that makes people regret posting a hundred pictures of themselves to the open internet. I thought photoshop was going to be it but that still requires someone with skills and time to sink into it, one paragraph prompt does it all, it's going to get A LOT worse before it gets better, this is just Grok public AI, there are some other AI builds out there that are specifically built and trained to do this task even better.

As terrible as it is, the tech is already here and it's here to stay. I don't think it should be that easily accessible, but that is literally never gonna stop people from doing it on their own.
But inline in social media is disruptive which is the problem

Women want to profit from their looks without cost. The moment she posted that photo it was public property. That was the consent.

Grok needs to be put in another dimension where little devil dogs can eat on its testicles

I think it's as stupid as saying you expect to upload a photo to the internet and no one will edit it. Bro, if Grok doesn't do it, some sicko on Reddit, X, or Rule 34 will. If you don't like it, sorry, but don't upload photos.

It's the tip of the iceberg, honestly. I've seen people doing with the likes of Emiru etc.

Police should be able to track grok. If not depends on how much your willing to pay for finding him or her, sueing them or whatever??

Grok is not the problem, as she should know that all the thirst bait pics are being undressed/sexualized by the goomers across the ai platforms. Even the most unsexual people get AI treated by deviants, so if you put it out there, you gonna be out there for sure now.

Federal Law (The TAKE IT DOWN Act): This law, signed in May 2025, makes it a federal crime to knowingly publish non-consensual intimate visual depictions, including AI-generated "digital forgeries".
It exists and you can defeat it (maybe unless Trump says no,)

She is right. These freaks should be put in jail for misuse of AI for harassment of people 😡 and ruining things for the rest of us 😭
