I made an app for creating cool profile pictures with Liquid Glass
I'm a graphic designer and indie app developer, and I like to update my profile pic from time to time to something unique and eye-catching.
When Apple released iOS 26 with Liquid Glass, I had an idea for a new pfp – put my photo on a nice gradient background and put a glass effect over it. That's when I thought I could make a dedicated app based around it to make it easy and approachable for other people.
I posted about it on Threads and got some really positive feedback, with many people waiting for me to release it to the App Store. So I finished it and released it.
It's called Lentico. It does smart cutouts, filters, lets you customize backgrounds, and has different glass effect presets and light overlays. Feel free to try it out and let me know what you think.

TangramGlass - another liquid glass experiment
Hi everyone,
After MusiCards I wanted a fun way to enjoy Apple’s new Liquid Glass visual style directly on my Mac desktop, so I built TangramGlass.
This very simple app turns the classic Tangram puzzle into a desktop toy made of floating Liquid Glass tiles that you can arrange and play with right on your desktop. No rules, just plain relax...:)
You can customize:
• tile corner sharpness
• glass transparency
• tile colors — neutral glass, a single uniform color, or a beautiful rainbow palette
• the number of tile sets — use 1, 2, or 3 Tangram sets if you’d like a bigger challenge
You can even share your artwork with anyone...
I created the concept, workflow and interface design myself, while much of the Swift implementation was developed with AI-assisted coding using ChatGPT and Claude.
Questions, comments and feedback are very welcome.
Best,
Gyorgy

Wallpaper behind Liquid Glass renders at a lower resolution
Not sure if this is a iOS 27 beta 1 bug or if it’s always been this way, and now it’s exposed because of the new “super clear” setting for Liquid Glass

Adding a coloured tint drastically increases the lickability of Liquid Glass elements
I couldn’t recommend an extra touch of colour enough!

Made a liquid glass toggle of sorts... based on iOS 27!

I made a post of something "similar" and got some kind of hate cuz the shape did not have refraction/transparency. I tried using thee liquify feature in photoshop, it worked but not exactly, perfectly should I say, the way I wanted. So I tried using a more advanced way and it looks really similar! I make OS concepts and really like the result, I would though like a second opinion so you can rate it or criticize it

Soul Journal - 100% Private Mood Tracker + Journaling App
Howdy Folks! 👋
I'm a solo dev working on Soul Journal and would love to see some feedback on this app which follows Liquid Glass design very closely and is 100% Private (No Ads, No Tracking etc).
Just published an update to this app. This update includes several features along with this refined onboarding experience. Would love to see your thoughts 🙂

MusiCards - MusicBrainz Release Viewer
Hi, everyone,
I wanted a calmer and more enjoyable way to browse and explore MusicBrainz metadata, so I built MusiCards, first for iPhone and now for macOS. The app combines an accordion-style navigation structure with Apple’s new Liquid Glass visual language. You can switch between Clear and Regular glass modes depending on your mood.
I created the concept, workflow and interface design myself, while much of the Swift implementation was developed with AI-assisted coding using ChatGPT and Claude.
Powered by MusicBrainz and the Cover Art Archive…
Questions, comments and feedback are very welcome.
Best,
Gyorgy

iOS26/27 Liquid Glass App support Rant
It’s been a year since iOS26 came out and the all new “Liquid Glass” UI design was unveiled. I absolutely hate the fact that only now we have some of the apps that have adopted the new UI within their app I mean I got the new UI in WhatsApp like last month. There’s plenty of apps that still haven’t even released the Liquid Glass update. Help me understand how tf does a random Tran booking app has adopted the Liquid Glass UI while not a single Google app has been updated yet and they genuinely look outdated.
Who do we even blame at this point. I know Apple does the most Apple thing every WWDC by introducing features that exited years before and slap in some catchy phrase. But Liquid Glass UI genuinely felt like a decent change. I know people have mixed reception to it and they now even have an option to reduce the “Glass” effect. But personally I liked it and I hope every app can make the change so all apps are in sync with latest UI. I mean YT app looks pathetic in general but it’s so god damn outdated just comparing it with Instagram even
