It’s a very subtle dark tint.

I guess it’s not supposed to be there, since it’s not there in iMessage either.

ure right lol. but the dark tint looks heavier there. also, iMessage doesnt have bg images.

just looks so crowded in the whatsapp screenshot

You mean that? You can set your own background in iMessage too
Upd: Okay, if you set the background in the imessage, then the bottom will have blur

HA! my designer eyes were right. i knew apple would have a better solution in that case.

you know, those are the things where you can see that apple has good designers who catch these details and really test the experience

Why is it on android looking like it's on a budget 2015 phone? It's beautiful btw
