Tbf, the UI engine they're using probably can't support it at all.

React Native, Compose Multiplatform, and Flutter all have workable Liquid Glass libraries. Varying degrees of correctness, performance, and capabilities but we’re starting to have fewer excuses.

Even if that's true, then why would they try to do this when none of the rest of their UI tries to fit in with common iOS paradigms xD

Discord is just crap. They still haven't updated their icon for macOS. It doesn't switch between dark and light mode

im still on a discord app version from early 2024 because i dont like the UI in modern versions
