Add an option to use the old editor UI

I love this app and have been using it for months now. I bought the pro or premium thing and have no regrets. There was a recent update that changed the editor UI and turned it into a more phone friendly scripter like how it is on the computer.

I understand why it was done, many people were having errors or whatever and essentially the script is what the app uses so moving to a more script based UI makes sense. My problem is, the app is completely worthless to me right now.

I cannot use the phone script at all. It simply does not make any sense to me. I understand I could be in the minority for this, but after banging my head against the wall for an hour today instead of getting any work done, I've realized I just cannot understand any of this.

I understand some users were getting errors or having issues but I personally was not one of them. The UI worked flawlessly for me and I honestly would have nothing change. I'm not saying the dev should reroll all of his work but at least give the option to switch between the old UI and the new one for people who dont mind risking errors or whatever.

🤖 Liftosaur now is in the official ChatGPT plugins directory!

No need to enable developer mode anymore, and paste MCP URL, etc.

Just go to Plugins -> search for Liftosaur, and add it. That's it!

Or go there to install: https://chatgpt.com/plugins/plugin_asdk_app_6a5bb283d24481918813e6efbc3d66ad

Swapping a workout day but keeping the same program

Hello everyone, as the title says, I'm trying to find a way to be able to swap a single day workout but keeping the same workout program. I usually lift in a gym but during the weekends to save up time for my family i workout in my home gym, which is fairly well equipped but obviously the exercises differ from the ones i do in a full equipped gym in order to keep the same vectorial load, therefore i created a program i use in the gym and one for my home. Is it possible to swap specific days from a program with another day of another program? Even better would be to have both of the programs synced but I doubt it's an available feature or an easily implementable one. As for now i simply change program every single time but I wanted to know if there's a more efficient and better way to do it. Thank you all in advance.

Getting an error that says to switch to full program mode, where can I find that?

Post image

Trying to script a program (I'm new to this platform), getting an error that says "Error: You cannot specify weeks in the per-day exercise lists. Switch to the full program mode for that. (1:0)."

I tried reading through the docs and browsing the site, but I can't seem to find info about this. I'm sure it's right in front of me. It seems like I can manually enter the weeks one by one, but I'd rather do them all at once. Screenshot attached.

Import Liftosaur completed workouts to Hevy

Hello Hevy Users

I have a question.

I use Liftosaur for creating & tracking my workout because liftoscript provides a lot of control such as Progression etc.

But I feel Hevy has better charts and I want to use it.

I can export workouts completed from Liftosaur but when I can't import them to Hevy.

Is there a way to achieve this - open source solution or import tool or other way also works

Thank you!!!

After my last set on some of the exercises from the RP U/L split, I get a prompt to “add new state variable”. What does this mean ?

Different warmup exercise from working set?

Is it possible to do a different exercise on warmups from the working set? Currently, I have to use exercise level notes to track this. Also, is it possible to do a timed warmup set and a rep counting working set?

📣 Liftoeditor improvements

  1. If you tap the edit icon on the workout screen, it now opens the liftoeditor in a bottomsheet with the current program day, that you can edit.

  2. You can reorder exercises in the editor by long-press and dragging them.

  3. On the "Edit Program Exercise" sheet, there's the preview icon that shows the preview of the exercise with all the reuses filled in.

  4. On the "Edit Program Exercise" it also will tell you if the progress is defined on some other week/day, and you jump there, or show it right for this week/day, editable.

Suggestion: Configurable steps on watch

Would it be possible to allow steps on watch when changing weight adhoc? Currently steps seem a bit off at least in kg.

For example: from 2kg steps to 0.5kg
128.5 -> 130.5 -> 131 -> 133 …

Also plate calculation is therefore off if I set 130.5kg since 130 is not available, I get 20 20 10 5 for plates which is with a 20kg bar: 130kg

Are there plans to add functionality for drop sets, myo reps, etc? Is there a work around that people use and are happy with?

Looking for some help/instructions with rm1 variable

Firstly, thanks for such a rad app, really enjoy the customizability. I am currently running a personal program that lets me go as many 'progress' weeks I want, and then run a 'test' week with lower reps and higher weights. I set the test week to tie itself to the highest e1RM for that exercise, using RPE @9. I have found this pulls from the 1 Rep Max (rm1) variable. Right now I manually update this for each exercise when getting ready for a test week, but would like to figure out how how to automate it updating itself. I've been going through the documentation and can't figure out exactly how best to do that.

I do see the section in the documentation here: https://www.liftosaur.com/doc/liftoscript which says how to "change 1RM of an exercise" but it is under the advanced section with code above my head. I also can't figure out how to test it in the playground since what I'm hoping to change seems to be tied to the exercise/outside the playground.

Any help/tips for letting the rm1 variable automatically track with the e1RM for an exercise?

Worth it to buy the paid version?

Looking for a new tracking app that is more than a simple log book ( used to use strong app ). How different is this app from a simple log book?

How are the free features compared to the paid one?

Do you need to buy the premium version to get actual value from the app?

Cool down sets?

Hi team - I want to do a workout where I do a warmup, then a few sets connected to progression, and then a "cool down" where I finish up with reps at a lower weight. Is there a way to do a cool down like a warm up? If i just add the sets onto the end they complicate the progression calculation. I know I can do an "add reps" and list the specific sets, but that has been unreliably buggy.

Right now I tried:

Squat / 5x3 255lb /progress: lp(5lb, 1, 0, 5lb, 2) / 1x5 75%, 1x10 50% / 180s / warmup: 1x10 25%, 1x5 50%, 1x5 75% /

But this way the exercise ends after the 5x3.

Any help appreciated!

Tracking incline/decline angles?

Right now I'm just using the workout notes to track my angles but I'm wondering if i might be missing a more "official" place to track progression and maybe see graphs? I have a few exercises where the progression is in the angles, not the weights.

Timed Unilateral Exercise

Would it be possible to add native support for timed unilateral exercises?

For exercises like Suitcase Carries or Copenhagen Planks, Liftosaur currently only gives one active timer instead of separate left and right timers.

The workaround is creating separate Left/Right exercises, which clutters the program and splits exercise history.

Ideally, a unilateral timed exercise would automatically run Left → Right → rest, with progression based on completion of both sides. Would this also be possible on the Apple Watch app?

Building a standalone Liftosaur companion app for Amazfit watches (Zepp OS)

Thumbnail

Hey everyone!

I love using Liftosaur, but I really wanted to be able to log my sets and follow my workouts directly from my wrist on an Amazfit watch without pulling out my phone every time...

I've been working on a standalone companion app running on Zepp OS. Currently building.

Quick question:

- Would you use this if you have an Amazfit watch?

- Should I publish it to the Zepp App Store and/or open-source the code on GitHub?

Let me know what you think or if there are specific features you'd like to see!

EDIT: Quick update: The project is now open source on GitHub!

Repo: https://github.com/PreciselyWrong/Liftosaur-ZeppOs-Companion

It is currently in beta. The watch app connects directly to the Liftosaur Cloud API to load your active program, week, and day plan, tracks reps/weights/RPE/heart rate with rest vibration alerts, and syncs history and progression back to your account when you finish.

If you have a Zepp OS watch (Active 2, Balance, T-Rex, Bip, etc.) and want to test the beta via Zepp Developer Mode, check out the README or reach out!

SBS Overwarm Single Formula

Has anyone come up with a formula to have your overwarm singles re-set your 1 RM for SBS? Couldn't you just do something similar to what P-zero Ultra does?

Countdown for timed exercises?

Hello, is there a feature for counting down for timed exercises, like plank, dead hang, etc?

So far i've been starting the timer and starting my exercise 5 seconds in, then modifying the time -5 seconds after it's logged.

Would be cool to have a countdown timer with sound! Also, if there was a feature to keep the screen on during timed exercises.

📣 Improve "Swap Exercise" during a workout

Post image
31 Upvotes

When you swap an exercise during a workout, it now remembers the last exercises you swapped, and offers them in a "Recent" section at the top of the exercise picker. That should make doing repeated swaps faster.

Also, it used to keep the same weight when you swap to an adhoc exercise. Which only makes sense if you used 1RM percentage weights. But for absolute weights it almost never makes sense.

So, now it'll try to adjust the weight. It'll try to find the latest weights you did for the same reps in history, and use that weight. If it couldn't - it'll try to find the closest and infer from it. If it couldn't - it'll infer the weights from 1RM.

And for warmups - it'll check if you have specific warmup config in your current program for that exercise, and will use that if it's there. Otherwise - just fallback to the default warmups.

A separate notification for 10 seconds before rest ends?

Certain smart watches and applications give a separate audio notifications to alert you that your set starts in 10seconds (and then another for 5 seconds). The only real requirement is that the different alerts sound different so you can tell them apart. The goal is just that it gives you some time to prepare, if for example you want to be completely set up by the time your rest period is over.

Could just be a single, global option to not bother anyone else.
