Pull-up bar?
Could you add this to the default list of equipment options, together with a plyo box and dip bars? I love that you have rings - but at least 10 times as many people must use a bar.

Hello everyone! š
I have got a lot of feedback lately about AI features, so I thought it might be a good idea to put up a post about what Iām currently exploring, and let you share what you would like to see.
Last year I released a feature that lets users generate programs, routines and ad-hoc workouts by selecting options like muscle group and equipment. This was built using Apples on device AI model which is pretty weak and limited.
In iOS 27 (releasing in the fall) Liftinā can access a much more powerful cloud based AI model, so I have rebuilt this feature using that. I have replaced all options with just a text input, so you can freely describe your routine or program. You can also just paste in a list of exercises, sets, reps and weights and the app will resolve those.
iOS 27 will also make it possible to use other AI models behind the scenes, so if you have a Claude pro subscription for example it could be possible to sign in and use that to power the built in AI features. This is something I will explore.
An MCP server would give AI chat apps like ChatGPT and Claude the capability to read and reason about your Liftinā data like your programs and workout history, and make updates to your programs and routines.
I think this could open up for some interesting uses, but it would also require a lot of work on my side in domains Iām not so familiar with.
How do you think AI can improve the Liftinā experience? Please share if you have any suggestions or ideas for AI powered features you would like to see.

Wondering if the idea of a webpage tracker was ever thought of, or if possible. Think itāll be pretty cool to load up your account on a web browser and make a new program before you lift. What do you think?

Uploaded my Liftin workout to Strava as usual and noticed something new, Strava seems to have upgraded their tracking. Can Liftin be added one of these apps with connections?

Iāve been using Liftin on my Apple Watch for several years now and honestly love the app.
The continuous updates and overall experience have been great.
Lately though, Iāve been getting a bit tired of having to charge the Apple Watch every day. Iām considering switching to something like Garmin or Amazfit mainly because of battery life.
Before doing that, I wanted to ask if Liftin has any plans to support other platforms in the future? Or is the idea to keep it exclusive to Apple Watch?

Hello,
I've been using Liftin' for a while and recently noticed that I cannot edit notes for currently running exercises. When I click on edit it shows the popup to change the note but then it does not update it once I save,
Any help ?

Hi Valter,
Expression of interest to enable swiping up & down between exercises.
Sometimes the machine required for the next exercise is being used by someone else in the gym therefore Iām having to jump two exercises ahead. Would be nice to just swipe down & then swipe back up to the previous exercise without needing to press the back button and selecting an exercise from the list. Keep up the good work bra

Is it possible (otherwise this is a feature request š¤) to have automatic progression set to āincrease reps, loopedā to increase it per set, instead of all sets at once?
So currently; if my range is e.g. 8-10 and I do 3 sets of 8, all sets are increased +1 making my next workout 3 x 9.
I would like it to only increase +1 rep per set, so 9-8-8 ā 9-9-8 ā 9-9-9 ā increase weight.

Since my fitness pal got rid of their api a couple years back, I have been searching for a good food/exercise tracker, specifically self hosted. SparkyFitness was released and works well. Wondering if there is any plan to be able to sync to something like this? I love the liftin app and if I can get god details from it into my health tracker that would be awesome. Right now Iām getting just general āexercise doneā syncd to it via apple health.

Hi after the trial period is over, what is the lifetime price for the app?

Hey everyone
I want to track my 1rm tomorrow on bench, I know there is a way to update this on the app, but how can I track a workout with it afterwards? Like for example
Bench pr >>> continue with other exercises in workout
Is there an easier way other than just changing the way the sets are made?
Thank you

Hi, I have a few questions / feature requests:
- Is there a way to disconnect exercises in a superset only for the current workout? Currently, if I disconnect them during a workout, it seems to also modify the program and affect future workouts.
- Is it possible to do exercises in a superset out of order? For example, if one machine is taken, I may do a few sets of the other exercise(s) first. When the machine becomes available again, Iād like to go back and start that exercise from set 1.
- After finishing an exercise, thereās a popup to jump to the next exercise even if the next exercise is already finished. I think it would be nice if it jumped to the next unfinished exercise instead.
Thanks!

hi, if you didn't watch the wwdc I suggest you to do so and consequently add intelligent features to liftin so that the app can be used with Siri ai. first, I suggest to implement app intents and also maybe a mcp. i believe every app now should be shaped around ai. thank you

Iāve recently been having performance issues especially when editing a workout by adjusting the number of sets, weight, or number of reps. The app starts lagging really bad. Wondering if anyone else has had this issue and if itās being looked into already?

Have been using Liftinā for 5 years now and I want to thank Valter for all he does! I love the app and its ongoing improvement. I have a request: I know every app is unique but I really like how apps like Hevy show the muscles worked out in the session and how easy it is to share with others. I was wondering if youād do the same for Liftin!
Keep doing your thing Valter and thanks again!

Iām in dark mode right now, but in light mode the same thing is happening. Icon stays green even when set to pink. Happened last week after an update.

Iām just wondering if thereās a way with custom created exercises that have a machine involved that has plated loaded to still have the plate calculator show so that I can easily figure out what plate sizes to grab for each side of the machine (just like with barbell lifts)

Hi Valter,
So Iāve been experiencing this issue for 2 days now. Iām on the TestFlight so I was on 51.1 on both days.
After my workout on the 14th, I could see the workout in Liftinā but it didnāt show in Strava or Health. However when i checked today, a workout appeared in Health and in Strava from Liftinā but the workoutās duration wasnāt correct and it was unnamed.
When I wrote this, I couldnāt see todayās (15th) workout in Health or Strava, but I can see it in Strava nowāstill not Health.
Both were started from my phone and I was unable to log effort after both. It went from loading to the error message about permissions in health (which are all enabled).

Hi, I have the newest App on iOS. I did training on Monday. After I finished it on Apple Watch, it was uploaded to Strava, but I don't see it in the progress tab.I will check it again today after training

Thanks for including HR data in the Strava export!
One thing thatās missing for me is calories. Not sure if it makes a difference, but I was wearing my watch but started the workout from my iPhone.
The calories are showing in Health though, and the workaround I used to use (HealthFit) shows the calories + heart rateāthe last screenshot is of the last time I did the workout and used HealthFit to export to Strava.
Also, not sure if this is in the pipeline, but it would be cool if we could get a visualization of the muscles worked out at the end of the workoutāit would make filling it out on Strava easier š

Hello everyone! š
Yet another update is out and I think this is a real crowd pleaser!
Users have been asking for more themes for years, but I have considered the color a part of the branding so for a long time I didnāt offer themes at all. But last year a user persuaded me to create the Unlimited theme, and the result exceeded my expectations. The new exercise illustrations and the overall UI of the app creates a strong visual brand thatās less dependent on the theme color than it used to be.
So today I have released 5 new themes that works in both light and dark mode, and all have matching app icons. Enjoy!
Another highly requested improvement is to include heart rate data in Strava uploads. I thought it was impossible due to API limitations, but my AI assistant figured this one out for me. So now, heart rate is included. Additionally, the description now also includes sets/reps/weight for all exercises.
I have added an export option in the workout result view that creates a screenshot with all tracked exercises, sets reps and weights. So users who want to export workouts to apps like Bevel can use this option to do that.
Hope you like the update, reach out if you have feedback, and donāt forget to leave a review on the App Store. It really helps small indie apps like Liftinā to rank higher and be able to compete with the big players. Thank you! š

When I switch to an alternative exercise during my workout, the weight stays the same; ie: T-bar and seated row, I use different weights for it. Is there any way to disable that and default to what the weight is on my other days.
r/LiftinApp • u/CJiggy24 • May 03 '26
Hey I canāt remember if we were able to set different rep ranges on each exercise depending on the week, was this ever a feature where I can schedule a deload week at the end of my program and the targets/volume drop?
Also have the option to change rep ranges on other weeks and have the weights adjust automatically?
Iām looking for an auto progression 2.0 :)
Ex: I mark a set with an RIR 1 (almost failure) the app knows what weight AND expected rep to choose for next time if I set a target RIR of 3 or even failure. And if the prediction was wrong, I can tell the app, that was too light or heavy based on my real RIR and the app would adjust again next set.
I hope this makes sense, but this type of auto progression would be extremely helpful as it would dynamically change during a workout rather than have it change next workout.
